Terrific Video Buddy! I Thoroughly Enjoy Videos Like These, Because I Have Had To Put New Ends On The Battery Wires For SLA Batteries In The Past As Well. Also, At The End, The Napco Starlink Is Considered More Of The Cellular Radio Backup, Not The Repeater (Even Though I Guess You Could Interchange The Two Terms). Keep Up The Superb Videos!
Appreciate the feedback Trevor, & I as well enjoy these types of videos. On my system each building has their own landline which reports back to the monitoring service. 12 buildings & the clubhouse, so there's 13 different addresses or (phone numbers). The old repeaters were wireless & reported to the clubhouse & then to the monitoring service. I've just called them repeaters since that's what the company that installed them last year called them when they updated our system. I'm still learning the fire panel stuff which is very interesting & I'll take any information I can get on this stuff. Thanks for watching Trevor & hope your Subscribed to the channel 👍
I understand that it'd probably be hard to screw up replacing batteries, but just sayin, your employer should probably hire an actual fire alarm contractor to take care of the fire panel.

Not a fire system, but an alarm system. Police called us in middle of night the system was blaring for hours. NO idea since I was just (so-called) emergency service (meaning quick fix), I pulled power switch and alarm still would shut off. I think the battery back up kept alarm running. So I had to disconnect both batteries, finally shut alarm off. Informed maintenance staff in the morning what I had to do. They worked on at later time.

@@ApartmentMaintenance What I havent informed you of, is I was raised in this business. My late father was a property manager first 1976-1985. The parent owner was based in Philadelphia. After that property was sold, we were moved to HQ area. Watched an abundance of remodeling or flips thats called today. My father and I were apart of the maintenance staff. The company rented off campus living to University of Pennsylvania stuents. But the reason I never learned the skills i see you can do, is my father and I had an estrangement but it was more ironic on his part than mine. Id rather have learned those skills.
