    Metric units:
    40 L water
    7.7 kg sulfur
    4.7 kg hydrated lime
Getting the proportions exact is not required.
This sulfurated lime, or "lime-wash," or "caldo sulfocalcico" is used with success in the Campaña Contra Sarna in Matamoros, Mexico.
A cleaning first with mild shampoo will remove some oils, so the sulfur solution better penetrates.
Don't dry with a towel. Blowdrying is ok. Maybe walk him until dry so he won't roll in dirt.

I pour it on using a big plastic cup or bowl. Easier than squeezing a sponge so many times. A paint brush is good for apploying it to the muzzle.
Have fresh water ready for rinsing out (the dog's or your) eyes if any should get in them. (When the dog reflexively shakes his head, it can fly off his ears and into your eyes).
I buy sulfur from a fertilizer warehouse, or from Dudadiesel, or from eBay. Hydrated or builders lime is at some hardware stores. Quicklime is harder to find.

I don't know where else to turn internet :( I need help, a good dog I take care of has mange, or atleast I think he does...hes a stray and my parents don't like him. I feed him, pet him and keep him company but lately I saw he had these hard scabby looking things on his ear and when I checked he has a large patch without hair on his back elbow. I can't take him to the doctor because if I tell my parents they will get rid of him...I need to find a way to cure him myself, can anyone tell me how?:(

Don't try the borax & hydrogen home remedy. Take your dog to the vet. If you truly care for your pet take it to the vet. Most will you pay is 85 to 100 bucks including visit & medication cost. You will get faster results with the medication you get from the vet. Trust me it's better for your pet.

Rad Mac Rad Mac I live in San Antonio TX and it was $280 🙄 we did home remedies and he got a little better. We took him to the vet and they gave us shampoo. Few weeks later of using the treatment , he got worse. Vets are rip offs. They give you medication that doesn’t work so you can come right back and spend money!

You need to treat your dog/animal from the inside out and not outside only. First I give the dog the flea med. that they eat. Then the next thing and cheapest thing to do is get your dog on tuna fish. It has a lot of Omega 3 in which dogs need. Then DO NOT AND i REPEAT DO NOT GIVE YOUR DOG ANY FOOD WITH GRAINS IN IT. Get foods that are grain free. Only grains you want is pea grain and rice and that is it. I use canned tuna and caned chicken, little bit of grain free soft caned food, Greenie Grain Free Dental Treats and Golden Rewards Jerky treats. A healthy dog does not get mange. Hope this info helps.
Something funny. Only time my dog has ever had fleas is when I took him to a over priced vet. If your animal is healthy why take it to a place where there is sick animals?

    • @sixpackbinky
      @sixpackbinky 2 года назад

You don't want to keep feeding the dog tuna for very long though because there's high enough amounts of mercury in it to kill them, my daughter lost her cat over feeding tuna everyday, and it was a horrible death

May I ask what home remedies? I have taken my girl to the vet and it's like they won't listen to me about her having mites. They treated her for bacteria, yeast, an allergic reaction to the bacteria, but I get little bites when I hold her and it isn't fleas at all..she has every symptom aside from the crusting rash, she has constant itching, red little bites, dandruff, she smells, etc. I am trying to help her as best I can. The vet just keeps treating symptoms, too..

@@jill5833 Ted's Mange Treatment, lather olive oil or vegetable oil frequently as this should kill the mites and their eggs, bathe often with anti-itch shampoo before treatment but make sure it's not soapy or it will effect the treatments, salt water helps as well, unless of course there are large open wounds

@@jill5833 I've been having same problem... been going on for a little over a year now. No vet will flat out say its mites, they just treat the symptoms! Soo... with that said what I've found that works better than anything else was Simparica (oral pill). If you want to go a more natural route, Borax and hydrogen peroxide work really well. Keep in mind though I've yet to get rid of them 100%
