Dr. Dan, just have to say thank you again! last year a vet wanted to charge me $1000 for antibiotics, an anti parasite, steroids, and allergy medicine, just throwing the kitchen sink at my dog for a yeast infection. which antibiotics would’ve made worse! After a little research, even I figured that out. She’s all good now thanks to your advice!! Keep making your videos, please, thank you thank you, thank you!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
It’s one week since we started the Neem 1/10 pure almond oil. Our miniature poodle is so happy, her skin is healed she’s not scratching. Today we bathed her to get all the oil out of her white fur. I washed all her bedding and blankets and dried everything in the high heat of the dryer. I’m soo grateful we have our sweet dog back, she’s no longer miserable! 💃🏻🎊🎉
I’ve been struggling for a month to find a final solution for my dogs mange nothing I bought from the store for mange worked dipping at the groomers didn’t help either it was crazy with how bad she was scratching and biting herself. This remedy worked perfectly I was amazing she hasn’t scratched since I can’t thank you enough for making my dog happy again.
Your very welcome, and yes, this is such a great solution. Thank you for letting me know the outcome. It's great as an anti flea/mozzie/tick too! Just dab on when needed.
dr scott. thank you. i did exactly what you recommended for me, my husband and my 2 dogs. we all have cheyletiella mange. i just started using the neem oil mixed with sweet almond oil and a carrier oil. it’s working! my senior dog had a yeast infection and bacteria infection on his skin due to mite die off from using revolution. i couldn’t get the crusted biofilm off of him without causing him discomfort. right now the biofilm came off and his skin is making a rapid improvement. you are a god send. i was using corticosteroids and now i don’t need to. thank you so much. i am in tears typing this. ❤ you are a Godsend. thank you 🙏🏼
Thank you for this wonderful information. The 3 vets I had gone to merely filled the dog with Steroids without barely checking the dog. I will be happy to treat him with Neem! You are a blessing!
Your welcome. Steroids simply manage the problem downhill. The problem then picks up speed with complications. Also look to add fresh food to the diet, eggs, canned sardines (in water) and part cooked and blended veggies. All great for health and well being, especially skin.
Absolutely amazing information! Thank you so much!!! And my dog ( Ava ,a 12 year old German shepherd thanks you!❣️) I lived in Washington state for 8 years and my dog never had fleas ,mange anything else.We moved to southern Missouri almost two years ago and she has been treated for fleas more times then I can count and now has mange from the landlords farm dog...I was seriously getting ready to have her put down due to her and discomfort and suffering.I will use neem oil because the previous renter left six unopened 5 gallon jugs of neem oil here when he moved and now I see it was just another blessing from the Lord 🙏Bless you! And I subscribed 👍👍👍
Wow, 6 jugs.. you are golden. Absolutely works a treat, just slather up the dog at 3:1 (3 parts olive/coconut/other carrier oil) with 1 part neem oil. Leave on all day and wash off with a soft soap like Castil: amzn.to/3zJkF0k That neem oil should last you for the rest of your life! You could sell some too, just an idea. Thanks for the sub, appreciated. Oh and your on a farm so plenty of raw eggs for the dog, great complete protein/food. Feed as many as you like.
Good Day sir, my pup of 7years has been suffering with mites for the past few years. We been to the vets numerous times, prescribed medications that seeems to cause him seizures. I came across thos video today and I read majority of the comments raving on how these two oils helped their fury babies. Im all in. I just ordered the Neem oil as well as the grapeseed oil. Im praying this helps my two pups that are suffering with mites issues. Again, thank you for the sound advice.
You have giving me some relief. I thought he was dying and I was a bad bog owner. Some said I should put him down but I could not plus he’s my dog and I love him! He has mange and it was you that I found out. It is hard times and I have no money to goto of vet and when he said it sounds like cancer.. that killed me. So, thank you! I will message you again when we get through this!!!! Thank you!!!!!
Your welcome. Neem oil: amzn.to/3iV0Igq Mix 1 part neem oil to 3 parts olive oil and massgae in librally all over tip to toe keeping eyes clear. Leave on all afternoon. May need a second application oqnw week later but that's it. Nest is more fresh food in the diet, at least 50% of meal as raw eggs, canned sardines, part cooked and blended veggies and some meats like chcken.
I’m not trusting my vet… been in 5 times and they’ve told me they have no idea what is wrong with her… I managed to diagnose her with dermadectic mange and took her in again this time they told me what I thought it was… they keep trying to over charge me have sold me the wrong pet care plan twice and charged me for medications when it was supposed to be included…
wow people can be so insensitive. my dog survived a hit and run but needed 20k in surgery so that he could walk again, he is only 10 pounds and survived. he had a crushed pelvis. people were saying to put him to sleep- over money! i paid the 20k. his name Gizmo. this was on 12/1/2019. he has his pelvis reconstructed with an implant on the left and bolts and pins on the right (rear legs). the next month he had to have the left rear leg amputated due to implant failure. he is a healthy tripawd and loves life and me! i love him. he is my little one. people have no right to tell you such cruel things. these are our family, our children. i am so glad you were able to use this remedy. i have spent thousands trying to get rid of mites using off label rx under vet care. dr scott is a blessing. i am so glad you have a solution now.
I must say this really works and we all need to thumbs up the providers of good solid knowledge like what was freely given here. Thanks and keep it coming.
We started applying the pure neem and pure almond oil since Sunday, we notice a BIG difference in our sweet miniature poodle already and it’s only 3 days since we started! I’m wondering, can it be used around the outside area around her eyes ? If not what can we use around her eyes? You are an answer to our prayers! Thank you!!!
This worked for my bull terrier!! Before this I tried Happy Jacks Mange mange medicine it was very expensive and didnt work. Ive been using 1 part Neem oil and 3 parts grapeseed oil for 2 months and he is 100% healed. Thank you!!!
One of my dogs had mites. It took a long time to get rid of it. Diatomaceous Earth was the way. If your dogs skin isnt dried out ,yet, it will. Shake the DE powder all over every part, including the legs, paws and head. Leave it on for 2 or 3 days, remove it by brushing or a bath. Repeat until they are gone. The mites dont like lemons. Squeeze a few lemons and rub the juice o n your dog.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful information! Not everyone can afford a vet but most can afford neem oil..the price is right!! Who would have thought such a common natural ingredient could save a beloved pet the stress of continuous scratching and unneeded drugs and expensive vet bills!
I've been trying to cure my dogs of their skin problems for years, I think it was the addition of the neem that finally changed the game ! Thank you for the info, one of my dogs has his full coat back and his mom is well on the way to her full coat, again , for the first time in years !❤ thank you!
I make a plastic tub filled with neem oil and hot water then let it cool down and pour it over my dog. I don't rinse it off that way I get the whole body. I will also make a neem/carrier oil mixture to apply on the spots. Thank You ❤
I have several dogs and i really hope this works nim gonna start tomorrow. I took the first one insaw signs of a issue nto a vet amd she talked me out of a skin test after i had ask about one prior to my visit bthey assured nme my dog just had a skin infection amd gave me medicated shampoo amd some pills. The also assured me that it was NOT contagious but now ive seem it start on three or four other dogs so far they told me to bring spanky back in but im so upset and depressed and kinda angry at the vet i even explained how many dogs i had and how I felt a skin scrapping was needed. But anyway i gonna get the stuff I need amd start this tomorrow amd I'll let yoy know the results. If i have anything on mynside its the fact i caught it early but hearing you speak about it and seeing some of the responses youve had is the best ive felt in days . Since this thing started. ❤
Thank you Doc!! It is a very helpful and informative video, i can now confidently maintain my dog's skin especially now that i want her inside our home.
I used a neem oil from Walmart garden section and I don't believe it worked at all. Just ordered the neem oil you have in the description and hopefully it does the trick
Thank you for sharing on this, i’d followed what you said with 1:4 ratio neem oil to virgin coconut oil, after 3 consecutive days of applying that mixtures, my dog no longer scratching her body and biting her itchy body, and-she smells good now
WOW, this video really explains a lot !! I was mixing a very small amount of neem with colloidal silver and a few drops of dye free dish soap to help oil and water mix. Warming also helps. Definitely helping but not full cure. I think it has killed the yeast, But after this enlightening episode, I’m pretty sure there is some mange at the core of it. Having alopecia (hair loss),in some spots that can’t be just from scratching. Think I need to mix with oil and your ratio recommendation. And surely diet at the core of the problem. Thanks a lot !!! 🙏🏻 💜 🙏
Mayonaise worked on a bad case of mange for me... (put on outside & take your dog for a long walk 60min+ (not on very hot or cold day). Wash your dog and then bring inside. Vacuum & wash bedding. Repeat all steps once a week until healing. You can put a little coconut oil on hot spots between treatment. Go to a vet if mange is very bad and there are signs of infection. Hone remedies are cool but don't delay getting real help if needed.
Hey I like this video!… you’re through with what your saying and informative!… good job!… helping those that don’t have a voice…. You’re doing great work!… you will help others more than you know!
Ordered!! American Eskimo Breeder here. I got a surrendered dog that has sarcoptic mange now all my dogs are itching and I am itching. We will be having an Neem & Grape seed oil party on the patio for every dog just in case. And I may even apply it to my head! I will let you know how it goes. I am believing for great results. I surely hope i can resolve all of this dog's issues cuz his teeth are plaqued at 7 and he is stooping way to long to poop. Had two fecal's checked but they came up negative. I know something is wrong regardless of those inaccurate fecals. I hope it's not a tapeworm in the upper GI Tract cuz he had a bad case of fleas, already treated with ivermectin so it can't be the others. I will follow up!! Thank you so much for the share. Your awesome!!🎉🎉
I noticed other comments of yours but only this one comes up when clicked. Great dogs! Have a great neem party, will work on you all including your head (used on daughters head lice back in school days). Leave on all afternoon, keep dogs outside. Soft shampoo to wash off and may need to re-treat a week later just to be shore all mites were killed as they do dig deep into the skin. I do have a fool-proof de-worm video solution too: ruclips.net/video/2LkzSgeOpGw/видео.html For the teeth, start using neem bark powder: amzn.to/2ULzroL works well on plague.
@@DanScott1 I apologize I read thru other ppls questions and found my answers. So I deleted those. Thanks for being so prompt. I read that fecals can largely be inaccurate and that different vets use different methods of checking. I read just because it's negative does not mean it's negative if the dog is symptomatic. And if you gets a positive, well then that's better because you then know what you're dealing with. I heard only 20% accurate??
@@siestakeygirl1000 Yes, your right, very inaccurate. Tells me a dog is in need of natural fresh foods, immune boosting supplementation, low carbs, zero vaccines/synthetics and drugs.
I had the Neem oil party yesterday. Tossed those dogs like a salad. 😆 The dogs enjoyed the massaging a lot and were attracted to the peanut butter smell. I did 1;4 ratio. I will let you know how it goes. Just a note the vet said lime sulfur dip that they typically use wasn't available for some strange reason, said couldn't get the product? I thought that was odd. I will update you later.. Thank you for all the safe healthy information.
I want to follow up with a BIG THANKS! I wish there was a way to show you pictures of the progress..... I had a tossed salad party with all 7 American Eskimo dogs.. 😂 that's what I call it. I have been continuing to use it on the rescue that came in with the problem and shared. HALLELUJAH, Hair is starting to come in and the itching gone for all of us! Lol I WAS SKEPTICAL, BUT THIS WORKS. If there is away to share pics let me know to help understand how bad my issue was then progress... Thanks so much.
Such a great remedy, gets the job done and not poison like the pharmaceutical option. Vet shops sell only what the big pharma industry owners tell-em to sell, it's all tied in.
I just noticed my dog having these symptoms. I ordered the neem oil and almond oil online and hopefully it'll stop this from progressing. I just want to ask how often do I need to apply the oil and for how long? Thank you for this video. It'll help us a lot being able to treat our dogs at home and avoid vet bills when there's much cheaper way. 🙏
If it's a small patch, just one application left on for a few hours will do it. If it's all over one big all over application left on half a day then wash off and repeat one week later and done.
Hi I have cold pressed hazelnut oil, from my kitchen I have olive oil and coconut oil. Can I use any of these or should I order an almond oil or fractionated coconut oil from Amazon?
Hi Dan, The neem oil has helped with my dog's mange but I notice that the treatment only lasts 1 week. I just let him go 2 weeks and the little bald spots have come back. We did have him tested and he is allergic to dust mites. Is it safe to use the neem oil treatment 1:4 every week? And again thank you for for everythng you do! You literally have truly educated me regarding my 4-legged family of dogs.
Yes that's fine, I do say go again the following week in case some are missed. Do 1:3 slap on librally and leave for half a day to really soak in. Your welcome.
Your videos are always so helpful. I also have 2 cats. Can been oil be used in the same way as my dog? Any comments re ear mites? Thx for your healthier suggestions.
Yes it can Paula. Re ear mites. Use it mixed with a carrier oil at four parts carrier oil to one part neem oil. ie 1/2tsp neem oil to 2tsp carrier oil lile olive, almond or grape seed oil: amzn.to/3iV0Igq
Have just applied this to my puppy, she has been suffering greatly and so have our family as we caught scabies aswel so i really hope this works as ive tried steroids, antibiotics and no vet treatments are working for her..thankyou sir for sharing this treatment ,will definitely keep updating on here our progress as time gets on
Yes, you have found the right treatment here. Just slatther up all over affected areas with some margin, leave on to soak in as long as you can, all day if need be, then wash off. Repeat one week later incase you missed something and your done. For both people and dogs. Good for skin too.
Did you say scabies? CURED. GONE FOREVER NEVER TO RETURN: I sprayed 3% hydrogen peroxide on my infected area every day, sometimes 2 times a day & snap, crackle, pop & fizz~ oh what a relief it was~5 days later my self diagnosed scabies horrendous & horrendously itchy alleged "eczema" that no dermatologist, medication could cure misery was completely, absolutely gone without a trace! I'm telling you, My skin was restored to a new born baby's skin. It was a miracle!!! After I became a massage therapist. I developed a wicked "rash" on my fingers & forearms. The insane itch almost drove me insane but I resisted the scratch with all my might. Doctor's, antibiotics, cream's, lotions, potion's, prayer's didn't stop it. Year's passed. I was beside myself. One day, out of the blue, i was compelled to spray peroxide on my arms & hands. End of story. Saved my career & my sanity. It's now my best friend.
I knew my 4 month old puppy had mange, bald fur around eyes and a few bare patches of fur on legs, not intensely itchy. So I went to the vet. He told me it was not mange but I was just bathing dog too often (three times a month). I wasn’t going to get through to him that I have had mange in other puppies and this is the typical manifestation of demadex mange. I then came on here and found this video. I applied neem oil three times, each a week apart. It absolutely works. It probably worked the first time but because of the life cycle of mites I figured it’s best to do it for three weeks. No more itching, hair growing back. I was very nervous about putting it near his eyes but I read on here others did. Thankfully it didn’t hurt him and now he doesn’t look crazy anymore. 😂 I soaked him in this stuff. He’s 50lbs and so I used a ton of grapeseed oil 16oz mixed w 8oz of neem oil. I did a 2 to 1 ratio. After he was completely soaked I crated him for the night. I’m so thankful this worked.
That's the way to do it, well done and thank you for sharing your process and outcome, really helps others to step up and learn more about looking after their dogs with natural remedies.
@@Yorkshireguycooks The pup in question was 4 months old and they went ahead and did 2:1 of their own volition, not my recommendation normally, unless circunstances call for it ( I tend to be conservative). But at 4 months, the pups robust enough for 2:1. So a young 8 week old pup with mange, I say 10:1 as good conservative start and if it's not enough to work, but should work, then go to 4:1.
Thank goodness for this video and your advise 🙏 Wanted to avoid toxic treatments for my miserable pup. Just purchased the Neem Oil and can’t wait to see results🙏
@@DanScott1 just come back to say this treatment has been successful! Mixed it with coconut oil. First left it on overnight, then applied daily for 1 week. Have given my dog a couple of baths in btwn. He’s got a few bald spots, but his skin is looking 100 better. I’m just going to keep applying the coconut oil for a while to keep skin moisturized and hope his fur grows back quickly. He was miserable for weeks but his personality has perked back to normal 😊 thanks again!
@@bripega7708 Great to hear. Can imagine your dogs relief. Will take a month for hair to grow back fully. And thanks for coming back and commenting, it helps others.
Thank you for the links, took my Corso walking through the woods a couple of weeks ago, last week started scratching and itching so i figuerd maybe a fox was in the woods or its the food she was also on aggravating her skin issue, i was feeding Pro plan switched food yesterday, anyway bought this tonight after watching your video after trying sulfer spray for mange doesn't seem to help much? Going to get WEDs mix the neem oil and coconut oil and massage in her skin, she has no lesions (yet) however her hair is falling out all over the house 😮 she is a gorgeous dog or was hoping this helps, someone told me use burnt motor oil but i also hear thats the wrong thing to do especially on google? Nexguard as well? Will let you guys know if this works, i have faith it will i am trying to nip it now beforehand or rather before progression! I subscribed its awesome that you take your time to help 😀 everyone! Thank you ❤😢
This remedy does soak in and kill mange mites en masse. Mix 1:3, one part neem oil to 3 parts carrier oil, mix and rub in all over and leave on all day befire washing off. Then repeat a week later to catch missed areas and that should be it. After this it's all about diet and adding more fresh foods into the mix. ALL those other so called remedies are bad news, especially motor oil, that's insane. Nexguard is poison! Whatever commercial pet food you use, cut it in half and replace that half with eggs, lots, canned sardines in water, part cooked and blended veggies and any meats/meats on the bone. Keep carbs low and no vaccines.
Hi Dan! I just mixed 1 tbsp of the Neem oil you recommend with 8 tbsp of olive oil and 2 tbsp of coconut oil and rubbed all over my 6 month old English bulldog… (generalized demodex mange) I just rescued him… I’m wondering how long to leave it on? I just received the probiotics (pet ultimates) you’ve also recommended in past videos yesterday and he’s had 2 half scoops so far…have cut his kibble in half and have been adding sardines… cooked chicken n small amounts of cooked beef liver, steamed green beans n spinach sauerkraut apples wild blueberries (fruit all in small amounts)shredded carrot sometimes partially cooked eggs and some raw goats milk and 1x day a small amount of goat kefir…will slowly move to raw food … I feel so bad for him because his skin is so bad, itchy, smelly lots of hair loss… anything else I should be giving him? Anything else I should have vet test for? Like yeast? Also how long does it usually take for generalized demodex mange pups to get their fur back so I have a realistic expectation?
So you mixed at 10:1. May need a second treatment at 4:1 but wait and see. Leave on for a few hours to really soak in as the mites are deep in the skin. Your doing great. Yeast is hard to shift quickly but a diet with zero sugars and carbs will starve out the yeast over 3 months and the skin will stop itching. I'd get some soil based probiotics for this condition and use them first: amzn.to/3yoURqU then when the issues have resolved, use the ones you have now, so seal the lid and keep in the fridg/freezer. Also add some antioxidants to the meals with freeze dried greens: Green Immune + Super food - (GLM, phytoplankton, Microalgae and Spinach) healthydogforlife.com/GreenImmuneSuperfood If you can cut out the kibble all together, that would fix things even faster but there's a kibble that's only 5% carbs, the only one I know of: Ketona Kibble: healthydogforlife.com/KetonaKibble so you can use that one and still use your current method of 50:50 dry food to fresh food. You can use eggs too, good complete protein food. Once the skin is free of mange it will takes 3 months for the hair to grow back.
@@DanScott1 I’m so pleased to hear from you wasn’t sure I would since this is an older post… you are an outstanding human and your kindness is very much appreciated…thank you for the extra wisdom… I will get him off the kibble asap and add the greens and will switch over to SBP’s…and will follow up in the future with his results! Thank you again Dan!
Hi Dan… its been awhile since i reached out to you… i would love to show you before and after photos of my dog Major… hes been doing amazing since i followed your advice… you are more than welcome to share as testimony… please let me know where I can post them to and thank you from the bottom of my heart for saving my dear sweet pup!
One more question please 🙏 before I treat them. For the ones that don't have symptoms yet but have been contact with mange they just have a moderate itch so for those dogs would it be safe to do a once over usual problem areas with a 1:10 ratio or what would you do ? And again you have no idea how much your knowledge has meant to me and my babies ❤ thank you again
Thank you so much! I'm ordering Neem Oil for my dog now. and I'll go grab your book as well. My dog already eats loads of vegetables every night (carrots, corn, peas, broccoli, cauliflower, along with either chicken or pork or beef in her kibble), so it astounds me that her immune system is still compromised 😕 I hope I can get her healthy again.
Vaccs, vet drugs and commercial pet food additives dont help. Mostly proteins such as eggs, meats, sardines really help and as raw as possible so undercook. I recommend just part cooking and blending the veg for best digestion. Add a good soil based probiotic: amzn.to/3yoURqU They work best, improve digestion and health. Yes the book has all the answers: healthydogforlife.com/feed-your-dog-better-book-by-dan-scott/ You'll love the Healthier Kibble Diet.
@@DanScott1 My german shepherd got scabies, we treated him but in process of that my brother got infected too, the rash was pretty bad. But i think my got affected again. Can we use neem oil, coconut oil and olive oil? If yes what should be the ratio of these? Please guide me on this, will this solution work for scabies too. I really hope it works.
@@DanScott1 I am afraid my little Russian is gonna get affected too. The vet said it never goes away, i dont want to give up on these two. Please let me know and thank you
Thank you very much for the helpful video! I've ordered the suggested neem and grape seed oils. How often and long do I treat our 2-year-old Shiba Inu for the suspected demodectic/sarcoptic mange on his front legs and chest area only? Much appreciated!
Mix as detailed in the video and rub on the affected areas librally, let soak in for a couple hours. Repeat next week and your good, should be all cleared up after two treatments. One really, but second to make your getting any missed and deeper in the skin. if feeding dry food only start adding some fresh food to the diet too.
Update: the Neem oil worked great. It started working immediately after the first application. The raw looking areas returned to normal skin tone, no more biting the itchy areas. Second application was done after 6 days to make sure the mites are gone for good. He is a happy boy now. Saved me a trip to the vet. Thank you so much Dan!
Wow there is such a need for informed “alternative” remedies because… well, my good intentioned vet almost killed my puppy with the standard routine for Giardia so now I think of my vet only for dire emergencies needing surgery, bone setting etc but never as the first or best option for general ailments. My dog appears to have contracted a case of mange on his tail and I’m really glad I found you bc my vet suggested steroids and antibiotics..,
I’m soo excited I hope everyone listens to you, Dr Dan, truly the Neem oil and sweet almond oil works 100% it even took out the yeast infection my dog had. I’m absolutely AMAZED!
@Dan Scott, thank you so much. I tried everything but my German shepherd puppy just kept getting worse. Neem oil is like magic. Just a few short days after I started applying, she got much better, and now about 2 weeks in, she has her full coat back, and it looks shiny and feels healthy. We mixed neem with grape seed oil to dilute it. 1part neem oil / 8 grapeseed oil or 1/10. Perfect solution. Thank you!!
Yes, I love it for anything skin mite/mozzy/ticks/lice. Great for skin health too as you noticed, a win win. Thanks for sharing your results, helps others, appreciated.
@@DanScott1thanks for this information. One of my dogs had mange when we rescued her. She still has spots were yeast discharged gathered around her wrist area. I will use the mix you recommended to dislodge it. Wondering what you use as a moisturizer or lotion? Any diy recipes you have to share will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Hi Dan, doctors test report says - METHOD: Tape smear OBSERVATION : -Demodectic mange seen along with secondary bacterial invasion -Neutrophils seen INTERPRETATION : DEMODECOSIS along with DERMATOPHYTOSIS i have already applied this neem oil mixed with coconut twice , second application day before yesterday however it's not completely gone. There's still crusty skin dandruff flakes on legs, a little on face and neck. I had shaved the chest earlier, it's better. Do i need to do 3rz application as well? I used cold pressed neem oil
So this report is after two applications? Even if you have killed all signs of mange, there will be left over scabs from mite detritus/infection. That takes another week or two to clear. If you think you have not cleared the skin effectively 100% all over, go again 2:1 all over, soak in all day, maybe all night too and then wash off with gentle shampoo: Castil Soap: amzn.to/3zJkF0k
My dog has spots on her that looks like blackheads with hairlost. It's only on her lower back. After taking her to the vet they tell me she has flea dermatitis, even though I have not seen not one flea on her (or in the house) & she's an indoor dog. This doesn't look like flea dirt bc it's stuck to her skin & flea shampoos does not get rid of it. Im really hoping neem oil works.
Reads like demodectic mange. This will solve that problem but look for it's underlying reason. Could be low quality diet with no fresh food in it. Could be vaccinations issues with auto immune issues, so I recommend zero vaxx. Could be from a current condition sucg as Cushings. Neem oil: amzn.to/3iV0Igq
Is the 4 to 1 with grapeseed oil safe if my dog licks it? I just rubbed it in everywhere he has bald spots and his rear legs the hair is scare so I lather his legs up and he keeps wanting to lick it off.
My puppy’s suffering from mites infestation and I’ll try this now! Just two questions: what should be his bath schedule and is it safe if he licks it? I’m very hopeful after reading the comments!
It will remove mites, let it soak in, superb for this. After allowing it to soak in to get to deeply burried mites ( a few hours) wash off with gentle soap like this one: Oatmeal Pet Wash: amzn.to/3CYUBjw The neem oil, at the same time as stopping mites, nourishes the skin. Yes, safe to lick. I was using it myself just yesterday.
My puppy is 16 weeks and the day after we got him broke out into hives and a rash on his belly. Tried everything natural but nothing worked. Had to go on antibiotics for a week...we thought he was allergic to chicken so switched to a fish based diet ... he got alot better but was still scratching and biting at his skin. Ended up taking him back in and they said possible mites and tried giving me flea and tick meds which I refused.. also gave me antibiotics again but I did not give them to him. Came across this video and have been using the neem oil .. today is the third time I've used it but it doesn't seem to be helping ... he's still scratching and biting at his fur BUT when I do the neem oil and comb it through there are all these little black specks that come out of his fur... im assuming these are mites/fleas?? He doesn't have any fur loss really or scabs, broken skin or sores .. do you think because it took about 7 weeks for us to figure out what was going on that he could just need several treatments with the neem oil as they're deep in his skin ?? He is on a pre and probiotic as well as a gut soothe product from adored beast... he is just on kibble but a very high quality one with zero additives, and all ethically sourced. Will most likely purchase your book to dive deeper but any suggestions based off of this would be appreciated!!
Your comment was held, just seeing it now. Just use the neem oil as directed for any skin mite. Sounds like mites. Several treatments with lower mix ie 2:1 and let soak in for a few hours. This could also be yeast issues on the skin from the carbs in the diet. Most kibble is 30-50% carbs. There is a low carb kibble: Ketona Kibble: healthydogforlife.com/KetonaKibble only 5% carbs and all natural additives. To that I would still add eggs, canned sardines and part cooked and blended veggies. Also make sure the probiotic is soil based for the same reason: SBO Probiotics - amzn.to/3yoURqU And yes, a great Idea to get my ebook: healthydogforlife.com/feed-your-dog-better-book-by-dan-scott/ to get a much healthier diet going and learn more about canine nutrition. Helps a lot long term and not needing the vet nearly so much long term.
Your welcome, it's a great natural fix. After it's fixed, think about improving the diet if only feeding dry food. Add things like eggs, canned sardines and part cooked and blended veggies for healthier nutrition from some fresh foods.
Hey doc I’ve applied neem oil on my dog.. the result was awesome she’s getting much better now and her hairs had started growing well but recently I’ve noticed a hairless spot in her front legs .. I’ve asked my vet he said during the treatment some mites may bury deep into the skin .. what to do now should I apply neem oil again on my dog ?
I do advocate a second go to cover any spots missed the first time or did not soak in enough in places to get to the mites. Simply go again and cover any potential missed areas.
Buy the neem oil: amzn.to/3iV0Igq mix 1tsp of neem oil to 5 tsp of carrier oil, olive, almond, grape seed, hemp, coconut oil all good. Mix well and slather on all affected areas. Few days later use a second application just to be sure, leave on for several hours, wash off if needed with safe mild shampoo like Castil Soap: amzn.to/3zJkF0k or Oatmeal Pet Wash: amzn.to/3CYUBjw That's it, mites gone, now look at making the diet more nutritious and fresh.
searching for your oregano oil ear infection remedy....(having hard time finding it....) and does this work for Yeast Ear infection ? Thanks and Blessings to you for all you do for so many dog owners!!
@@DanScott1 what is it again? Is it 1 TBS coc oil and 1 drop oregano oil, mis and apply 2 drops mixture in ear and how many times per day just once? (or is it 2 tsp coc oil as carrier ?
@@bellashalom2201 If there's an infection, use oregano oil as it's a great antibiotic: amzn.to/3ulnF1T Add 1 drop smaller dog, 2 drops larger dog to teaspoon of coconut or olive oil, mix and add to food once daily for 7 days then stop. If cleaning ears of gunk, use one drop in tablespoon olive or coconut oil, mix well and use cotton ball to wipe out ears. No drops are put into the ears, it's just for cleaning.
I'm actually not sure here. Yes, you dry the leaves and can make a tea and use that, no issue, but I dont know it's effectiveness. You'll just have to try it out and see. Personally I think it's not strong enough, not concentrated enough, but try it and let me know.
I have 3 dogs. One has always had skin issues but once our newest came in the picture things got worse. She was diagnosed with mange but I was told it was the kind that's not contagious 🤷 I am definitely going to try this! I'm desperate at this point. I have to ask is there extra steps I need to take to treat my home/yard? Can I make a spray with the Neem oil and spray it around the house? Like you would do for fleas?
You can, a bit messy with oil though. You can use DE Diatomaceous Earth Food Grade - amzn.to/3D9KEiR Spread it all over the ares you want insects gone, leave 24hrs then vacuume up. here's a video on it: ruclips.net/video/b9QKBTmgVzw/видео.html The neem as directed in this video gets rid of mange.
@@DanScott1 Thanks Dan! I am from India and the Neem oil is widely used here in India as a natural & safe remedy for both humans and animals. One more suggestion for good teeth health for dogs, I have been keeping GSD, Himalayan mastiff and other breeds and I have used neem sticks for my dogs to chew. It cleans their teeth naturally, prevents tartar buildup, prevents bad mouth odour and overall keeps the oral cavity of the dogs clean and healthy. They need not swallow it, it's just that they need to chew the sticks thereby cleaning their teeth in the process. Thanks. Stay safe & healthy. 🙏
@@continuumnxt6417 Those sticks are perfect, I wonder if we have them in the west. I personally use the neem bark powder with teeth brushing. I just had to check and yes thay do: amzn.to/3YCrBci Thanks for the information, I'll recommend these along with the bark powder.
I mixed coconut oil and neem oil 9ML coconut oil and 1ml neem oil and put some on a brush then brushed it into the fur. I didn't use much of it should I keep applying if so how often or should the 1 time work? Also once it dries is it safe for the dog if they chew where it was applied? Or should I keep it covered for a certain amount of days?
That's 9:1, you really want 4:1 so it's stronger with neem oil.. it's safe. Might be ok though. Massage it into the skin. Do one more session at 4:1. Yes it's safe to lick/chew.
Hello. Great advice! Thank you! Can I use the neem oil in my 6-year old dog’s ears? This is the main area where she is itching and getting scabs on the inside of her ear (the flap part). Thank you again.
If it's bugs yes but if it's yeast ie gunky brown wax that's another story and one to do with diet , carbs etc So, is there also bronzing at the toe nails, in between the toes and maybe coloring the hair around the toes brown/bronze? Any scratching or biting?
@@DanScott1 Hi Dan, Thank you for getting back to me. She's scratching and biting with some loss of hair. She's shaking her head often. She has a few hairless areas under her front legs with little brown spots, and on her belly, but the hair has been growing back since treating those areas. The biggest concern now is her ears. She does not have wax in her ears but more so a thickening of the skin and flakiness (in her ears). She's also losing some hair on the side of her ear. I have not noticed any bronzing in the areas you mentioned, however, she started limping a little, but that comes and goes - especially after I give her a "treatment" bath with shampoo and apple cider vinegar. I will do a thorough look for bronzing on her paws. Regarding the neem oil in her ears, I mixed it in with coconut oil and used a cotton swap to rub it on the flap of her ears and squeezed a little to drop into her inner ear. Sir, am I doing this correctly? Thank you again. :)
@@lojboutreachtrainingcenter3311 Yes that's fine for the ears but no drop in inner ear. Next it's diet and needs fresh food in it, not just kibble. So replace 50% of meal with fresh food options ie canned sardines, veg, eggs, meats etc. use this soil based probiotic: amzn.to/3yoURqU Start small and slow. No vaccs!
I just rubbed organic coconut oil into my girl's affected areas. Since she is chewing and such, with open enflamed skin, I thought I'd use an edible oil. Pretty sure it's sarcoptic-she's SO itchy!
You'll need the neem to kill the mites as they are deep in the skin: Neem oil: amzn.to/3iV0Igq Or it could be yeast/allergies which cause massive itchyness, hence the sratching and that will need diet change to more fresh food based. Must get carbs/sugars/drugs/vaxx out of the equation in this case. Are there any small or larger patches of bare skin next to normal haired skin? Whats the diet?
My 3 month old Pitt 27 lb pup has Demodex mange - it’s from head to toe. I feel so bad. I’ve purchased 100% Neem oil cold pressed and 100% Pompeian 100% Grapeseed Oil, Light and Subtle Flavor.. Both from Amazon.. I’m awaiting my 2nd oil to come in. I hope this helps. Any tips highly Recommend! Please and thank you much!
@@Brooklynbaby230 Mix 1/4 as neem oil and 3/4 as grape seed oil, mix well and slather all over the dog from tip to toe. Leave on all afternoon to soak into the skin. Wash off later that evening. Do it all again one week later, remember ears, around eyes (not in eye though) on penis, butt etc. It's a bit garlicy/nutty smelling but no big deal. After this you must look at diet and adding more fresh foods into the mix. Raw eggs, canned sardines in water and part cooked and blended veggies and some soil based probiotics to add to meals: amzn.to/3yoURqU Start at half dose, build up from there.
I am trying this today. Thank you! I am just wondering if neem oil will work on warts too for dogs? If not, would you suggest any thay is best to get rid of warts?
Warts can come and go. Often caught from other dogs. I'd boost the immune system with fesh food diet, no vaccs or drugs. And add in some greens, they will help: amzn.to/49w0bKR Try the oil though: amzn.to/2S8paBE might just work, not researched this. Also try neem oil: amzn.to/3iV0Igq on the wart for a month.
@DanScott1 Thank you for the quick response I really appreciate it. My dog is a small mini poodle 13 yrs old. She never goes out so I know she didn't get warts from outside. I'm thinking it's a poodle thing specially when they are older. She had a history of pancreatitis long time ago (not anymore), so I don't really giving her fresh foods anymore maybe jist tiny bits of cauliflower and broccoli. She is with low fat kibble for years no problem but as she age, she's having lots of itchiness, red skin irritations and continuously licking and biting her paws (slight reddish) and her legs because of itch and loses hair on the parts. On my third day of neem oil but still itching a lot. Will try to continue up to a week. I'm scared to give her meats ( just because of history of pancreatitis before) even though I really would like to and she loves meat I know. I'm wondering if I can try polysporin 1% hydrocortisone. Thank you doctor for your videos!!
@@IamHappyHeart I know this issue well. It's basically too much carbs (inflammation), possible vaccine issues (no vaccs. recommended) and the additives in kibble being the likely culprits. It's cooked fats that cause pancreatitis issues, nothing else. It takes time to get rid of the histamines and yeast buildup that your dog has issues with, hence feet chewing, itching, redness, hair loss etc. Please dont use the hydro.. ok. Do this instead: Take out 25% of the kibble meal and replace with fresh food options such as eggs (soft boiled or raw), any meats, lightly cooked or rare, canned sardines: amzn.to/3vaXrj6 and some greens: amzn.to/49w0bKR 1/2 tsp in food once daily. This also great to lessen warts. Start at 10% for a week or so and work up to a 50% kibble:fresh food meal over the next month. In time you'll see a big difference in health quality and far less yeast and histamines, they cause the itch. She'll be pretty blocked up, hence the warts so the greens are great for circulation and the kidneys/liver/skin. The neem oil wont fix the itch but the above will over time.
@DanScott1 You have been very kind, thank you so much! Will try to incorporate fresh foods slowly and hoping great results. There is just one last thing I would like to ask for now and I hope I'm not bothering you too much...she is for her next rabies shot this month after 3 years and probably distemper and parvo in a few months...so I should not let her have them?
Dan, thankyou for this video. Alot of people say that neem oil smells really yukky . Hahahaa. Can i add essential oils to the neem oil and carrier oil? if so, which would you suggest? My young girl is super itchy, despite flea treatment and a good food source, so we think her issue is environmental. We hope to try your neem oil remedy,as we dont want to use convential veterinary treatments, Thankyou in advance for your knowledge .
Two drops of Lavender. Diet is key here, thats the focus going forward. Fresh food 50:50. Get off the carbs and slowly introduce proteins: meats, eggs, canned sardines.
Dan thankyou so much for your reply, it is very appreciated. She is already on grain free, raw bones etc,so i will follow your advise and go that bit further and introduce more meat and im sure she will enjoy tinned sardines. Im glad i can add lavendar oil. Best wishes,@@DanScott1
I wouldn't let that stuff anywhere near my dog! Turps and tar oil!!! Use the neem oil, it's safe (just not on pregnant or lactating bitches). 1 part neem oil to 4 parts carrier oil and your good to go. Not toxic to cats either.
Hi Dan, I recently adopted a 4 month old shih tzu maltese mix and since first few days last month I noticed she was itching a lot so got her to the vet diagnosed with mange got her antibiotics, omega oil pills for dry skin etc, have showered and combed out dried skin but it hasn't improved much. I'm going to follow your advise. We've stopped feeding her dry food and everything containing salt. As a SE Asian with tonnes of tropical food available, we feed her plain steamed rice mixed with natural yogurt we make at home with boiled chicken or hard boiled eggs alternating sometimes with a little butter or ghee is that ok? She also loves eating raw tomatoes, cucumber, water chest nuts, carrots, fruits, potatoes.
Definitely stop the white rice, makes dog itchy, bad for organs. Everything else is fine except potatoes, keep carbs low! Also start small amounts of raw egg and build up so it's all raw as there's 30% extra nutrition from raw. Mash/crush or blend the veg/fruits to digest better. Replace the carbs with more eggs, meats and canned sardines in water are good to. NO vaccinations going forward either.
I've just bought some neem oil but I have a question. What oils are suitable for the carrier ? I know you mentioned almond oil . Is there a list of oils than can be applied? I have rapeseed oil , olive oil or can baby oil be used . Thanks in advance Doc ❤
Hi, can jojoba ,castor, mineral oil or Aloe Vera be used as a carrier oil for the neem? What would be the most beneficial for itch/allergies. Thanks in advance!
Mineral oil belongs in the trash! The rest are fine. The best for itch/allergies is a fresh food diet and zero vaccinations. My ebook covers all this: healthydogforlife.com/feed-your-dog-better-book-by-dan-scott/ And to start with immediate help while the new diet kicks in use Colostrum (for allergies, sensitivity): amzn.to/3H79rad
Hello! My dog has a couple of small patches on the bridge of her nose. She. Can almost reach the area with her tongue, but not likely... would the 4:1 or 10:1 neem oil be safe to use that close to her eyes/near where she may be able to ingest a little? I would be really careful to only apply it directly on the spots.
There's a neighborhood stray kitty that appears to have mange. I purchased the neem and carrier oil grape seed to treat him. My question is, what is the best ratio to use as the mange is on his head, ears and nose? I want to get this right the first time as I'm not sure I'll be able to get ahold of him twice. Thank you.
Now that is a tricky situation. I'd go strong and just slather it all over the head and any body part you think is affected. That way your covered and one application should do it. So 1 tsp neat neem oil to 4 tsp grape seed oil. ie 1:4
Hi! I have just found you, thankfully!! New subscriber, I have a flea infestation in my yard. I've sprayed and sprayed, and sprayed, different chemicals, bombed the house, bathed the digs, put topical and feed through flesh control, washed their bedding, my clothes and my bedding 3 times in dog flea and tick shampoo with an igr before drying 70 min in a hot hot dryer. Still get covered up on the yard. 😢 done it every 2 weeks, every 10 days. Im about to burn the yard!!!
Oh the despair, I feel for you. I'd use neem oil as contact with the flea means death over 24 hrs but safe on animals/humans and natural. You could get a large spray bottle or the one you have currently, add 3 parts neem oil, 1 part liquid soap and the rest warm water, shake and spray everywhere but do it in the evening as you'll also kill bees and in th evening they've gone home. So if the sprayer was 1 gallon, that's 6 Tblesp neem oil, 2 Tblesp liquid soap, the rest warm water. Neem oil: amzn.to/3iV0Igq Kills fleas/ticks/mozzies/lice. Can also soak a bandana in neat neem oil and use as a collar on the dog in the yard. If spraying in the house, be carefull as neem is an oil, might be issues cleaning up and it's a bit smelly, sort of garlicky/nutty smelling but you can add a few drops of either Lavender, chamomile, cedarwood, peppermint, and frankincense oil are all safe for dogs. For in the house, Diatomaceous Earth Food Grade - amzn.to/3D9KEiR can be spread lightly everywhere, left 24hrs then vaccumed up. This dessicates the fleas. Best of luck (otherwise it's a flamethrower, lol)
I wanted to also ask is there anything i can use on the dog's that don't have any affected areas yet like anything to provent or reduce the spreading?? Also what can i do about the general itching? I e heard Benadryl helps? Thank you
Dan, I have a one year old bulldog with demodex/demodectic mange. It started with a spot on the leg and now on both legs and it’s moving up and starting to look a bit patchy. Vet recommended bravecto and next guard but want to go the holistic route. I’m switching to fresh food but in the meantime I’m going to do your 1:4 ratio with neem oil. Can I apply it and leave it on until the next day and just re apply it everyday for a week total or should I be washing it off everyday after 3 hours or so with the Castile or oatmeal shampoo? I want to make sure this doesn’t keep spreading. Thanks for your help.
I'd go 3:1, that's 1 part neem oil to 3 parts carrier oil, a 25% solution and work it in all over the dog from head to toe and leave on to soak in all afternoon before washing the dog. Than I'd follow up with same treatment 1 week later and that's it. No more Mange mites. Hair will grow back in a month or so... and look great with fresh food in the mix. Well done for stepping up too. Takes no small courage.
I ordered a gallon and a gallon of sunflower seed oil because I have several dogs. But I wanted to ask what should I use to mix up a large batch? And could also make it easy to apply? Maybe use a empty lotion bottle or maybe something with a nozzle on it like a ear flush bottle? Any thoughts would help. I'll also keep pictures and track there progress and post it here ❤❤❤ thanks 🙏 again for your time amd knowledge
@@LarryBell-1138 Yes a lotion bottle will work or one of those pump bottles used for salmon oil or soap dispensing. Keep stored in the dark. Just lather on the dog by hand and work in like a skin cream. Let me know how you get on.
I've definitely had success and I'm very grateful! Thank you 🙏 again. I wanted to ask you how long after applying can I give them a bath? And how long is a batch good for after mixed with the carrier oil? Thank you for your time and thank you for helping my family

Hi Dan. I just found your video. My Jac is 1.5 years old and has been scratching and licking a lot. I noticed he is losing hair around his left eye. I've tried the vet crap and allergy chews but nothing works. What exactly do I do? I've never heard of Neem Oil and what do I mix it with? Is it toxic to dogs if licked? Do I have to put it all over him since he's itchy everywhere or just around his lost hair? And how do I keep it from getting in his eye since that's where he's losing hair? Thanks.
Could be allergies, use low carbs, no vaccines. You mix it 4: 1 with olive or coconut oil ie 1 part neem to 4 parts carrier oil. Slather on all over and as near to eyes as possible. Ok to lick. The diet wants to be fresh food based?
Should I apply the neem oil on my dogs full body if the dry scabby spots are only on her legs? And how long should I leave it on for? Must it be washed off or just left on?
If the problem areas are just the legs then apply there with some margin. Leave on all afternoon to really soak in to get deep to the mites. Wash off in the evening or leave on if not an issue in the house.
You add x drops (depending on weight - see chart under pinned comment) once daily in food for 14 days, then stop 7 days, then a further 14 days and done. hello 👋🏼, i have a puppy of 7-8 months he has caught sarcoptic mange from another pup & i wanted to know from what of the oils would you recommend me for my puppy?
Neem oil: amzn.to/3iV0Igq And any carrier oil like sweet almond, virgin olive, grapeseed, coconut oil. Mix 1 part neem oil to 4 parts carrier oil and apply liberally to all affected parts and allow to soak in for several hours and can then wash off if needed with kind shampoo: Oatmeal Pet Wash: amzn.to/3CYUBjw Can apply a second application a few days later to be sure all areas covered sufficiently as sarcoptic mites bury into the skin and are infectious. Fine if licked.
I purchased the Neem product you suggested, however it says it is not to be ingested! Dogs lick and my dog actually chews his hind legs often putting most of it in his mouth when his licking isn't enough. If Neem is that hazardous how can I possibly treat him at a 1 to 4 ratio? I now feed him real food. His skin and fur look beautiful and much more healthy now than before changing his diet. How do I treat my dog without poisoning him by his active constant licking his paws and groin area?
They don't have a license for internal use and it's not to be taken if the dog is pregnant or breast feeding. Just covering themselves. I've been using it for 20 years. So it's fine, actually beneficial as a tonic internally. I'd also add some green superfood to all meals to help stop this problem over time with daily boosted antioxidants: healthydogforlife.com/GreenImmuneSuperfood

I've been trying to cure my dogs of their skin problems for years, I think it was the addition of the neem that finally changed the game ! Thank you for the info, one of my dogs has his full coat back and his mom is well on the way to her full coat, again , for the first time in years !❤ thank you!
Yay! I'm happy for your dogs.. you must be relieved. Thanks for sharing.
I make a plastic tub filled with neem oil and hot water then let it cool down and pour it over my dog. I don't rinse it off that way I get the whole body. I will also make a neem/carrier oil mixture to apply on the spots. Thank You ❤
May need a little castil soap in that oil/water mix to blend the neem oil better but great idea. Yes, the spot mix works.
Did it cure the dog, because I would do that, just people say that oil and water don't mix 😔
@@DivineWill-iamright but that’s why you add a bit of soap!! It helps mix it!
Your welcome, this works 100%, just folow the procedure.
I used a neem oil from Walmart garden section and I don't believe it worked at all. Just ordered the neem oil you have in the description and hopefully it does the trick
I know the linked option works.
Thank you for sharing on this, i’d followed what you said with 1:4 ratio neem oil to virgin coconut oil, after 3 consecutive days of applying that mixtures, my dog no longer scratching her body and biting her itchy body, and-she smells good now
Yay! Thanks for sharing back. Dog feels good, that's great.
WOW, this video really explains a lot !!
I was mixing a very small amount of neem with colloidal silver and a few drops of dye free dish soap to help oil and water mix.
Warming also helps.
Definitely helping but not full cure.
I think it has killed the yeast,
But after this enlightening episode, I’m pretty sure there is some mange at the core of it.
Having alopecia (hair loss),in some spots that can’t be just from scratching.
Think I need to mix with oil and your ratio recommendation.
And surely diet at the core of the problem.
Thanks a lot !!! 🙏🏻 💜 🙏

Where do I find been oil
@@nunubooboo4199 he left a link to some in his description
Mayonaise worked on a bad case of mange for me... (put on outside & take your dog for a long walk 60min+ (not on very hot or cold day). Wash your dog and then bring inside. Vacuum & wash bedding. Repeat all steps once a week until healing. You can put a little coconut oil on hot spots between treatment. Go to a vet if mange is very bad and there are signs of infection. Hone remedies are cool but don't delay getting real help if needed.
This Neem oil with carrier oil works better and completely 100%

I do have a fool-proof de-worm video solution too: ruclips.net/video/2LkzSgeOpGw/видео.html
For the teeth, start using neem bark powder: amzn.to/2ULzroL works well on plague.

Absolutely fantastic funny how vet shops don't tell you about these remedies

Did you say scabies? CURED.
Did it worked?
@@DanScott1but in the video you recommend 10-1 for pups ? I’m confused now as to wether I should just go straight to the 2-1 mixture ? Please help
@@Yorkshireguycooks The pup in question was 4 months old and they went ahead and did 2:1 of their own volition, not my recommendation normally, unless circunstances call for it ( I tend to be conservative). But at 4 months, the pups robust enough for 2:1.

Will let you guys know if this works, i have faith it will i am trying to nip it now beforehand or rather before progression! I subscribed its awesome that you take your time to help 😀 everyone!
Also add some antioxidants to the meals with freeze dried greens: Green Immune + Super food - (GLM, phytoplankton, Microalgae and Spinach) healthydogforlife.com/GreenImmuneSuperfood
If you can cut out the kibble all together, that would fix things even faster but there's a kibble that's only 5% carbs, the only one I know of: Ketona Kibble: healthydogforlife.com/KetonaKibble so you can use that one and still use your current method of 50:50 dry food to fresh food.
Vaccs, vet drugs and commercial pet food additives dont help. Mostly proteins such as eggs, meats, sardines really help and as raw as possible so undercook. I recommend just part cooking and blending the veg for best digestion.

Hi Dan, doctors test report says - METHOD: Tape smear
OBSERVATION :
-Demodectic mange seen along with secondary bacterial invasion
-Neutrophils seen
INTERPRETATION : DEMODECOSIS along with DERMATOPHYTOSIS i have already applied this neem oil mixed with coconut twice , second application day before yesterday however it's not completely gone.
Can olive oil be used in replacement of grape seed oil?
Yes.
Does using Neem Oil as a Shampoo work the same?
Not really, too weak a solution.

After allowing it to soak in to get to deeply burried mites ( a few hours) wash off with gentle soap like this one: Oatmeal Pet Wash: amzn.to/3CYUBjw
The neem oil, at the same time as stopping mites, nourishes the skin. Yes, safe to lick. I was using it myself just yesterday.
My puppy is 16 weeks and the day after we got him broke out into hives and a rash on his belly. Tried everything natural but nothing worked. Had to go on antibiotics for a week...we thought he was allergic to chicken so switched to a fish based diet
... he got alot better but was still scratching and biting at his skin.
Also make sure the probiotic is soil based for the same reason: SBO Probiotics - amzn.to/3yoURqU
And yes, a great Idea to get my ebook: healthydogforlife.com/feed-your-dog-better-book-by-dan-scott/ to get a much healthier diet going and learn more about canine nutrition. Helps a lot long term and not needing the vet nearly so much long term.

Hello Doc, how would you use the Neem leaf if you have a Neem plant? Would you make a tea and apply it to the Dog's skin? Thank you
I'm actually not sure here. Yes, you dry the leaves and can make a tea and use that, no issue, but I dont know it's effectiveness. You'll just have to try it out and see. Personally I think it's not strong enough, not concentrated enough, but try it and let me know.
Thank you so much for this!! xxxx
You are most welcome. Works. Been using it 20 years.
Please, l have a question. Neem oil is made from neem leaves or neem seeds ? Which is the best for dogs' skin treatment ?
Neem oil from seeds is my focus and treatment for dogs skin: Neem oil: amzn.to/3iV0Igq
You can use DE Diatomaceous Earth Food Grade - amzn.to/3D9KEiR
Spread it all over the ares you want insects gone, leave 24hrs then vacuume up.
here's a video on it: ruclips.net/video/b9QKBTmgVzw/видео.html
The neem as directed in this video gets rid of mange.
Very good information! Appreciate your help sir! Stay blessed and stay healthy.
Thank you, your very welcome.
I just had to check and yes thay do: amzn.to/3YCrBci

@@DanScott1 That's awesome Dan!
If it's bugs yes but if it's yeast ie gunky brown wax that's another story and one to do with diet , carbs etc
So, is there also bronzing at the toe nails, in between the toes and maybe coloring the hair around the toes brown/bronze?
So replace 50% of meal with fresh food options ie canned sardines, veg, eggs, meats etc.
use this soil based probiotic: amzn.to/3yoURqU
Start small and slow.
No vaccs!
Hi thank you so much for the video. Is the neem oil safe to consume in case my dog licks it?
Yes, continues good work on the inside too.
So thankful I found your video. 🙏
Your welcome. Yes a great, simple cure. Also great in the summer for keeping mozzies away.
I just rubbed organic coconut oil into my girl's affected areas. Since she is chewing and such, with open enflamed skin, I thought I'd use an edible oil. Pretty sure it's sarcoptic-she's SO itchy!
You'll need the neem to kill the mites as they are deep in the skin: Neem oil: amzn.to/3iV0Igq
Or it could be yeast/allergies which cause massive itchyness, hence the sratching and that will need diet change to more fresh food based.
Do I leave on for about 20 minutes and wash off with water?
@@Brooklynbaby230 Mix 1/4 as neem oil and 3/4 as grape seed oil, mix well and slather all over the dog from tip to toe. Leave on all afternoon to soak into the skin. Wash off later that evening. Do it all again one week later, remember ears, around eyes (not in eye though) on penis, butt etc.
It's a bit garlicy/nutty smelling but no big deal.
After this you must look at diet and adding more fresh foods into the mix. Raw eggs, canned sardines in water and part cooked and blended veggies and some soil based probiotics to add to meals: amzn.to/3yoURqU
Start at half dose, build up from there.

And add in some greens, they will help: amzn.to/49w0bKR
Try the oil though: amzn.to/2S8paBE might just work, not researched this.
Please dont use the hydro.. ok.
Do this instead:
Take out 25% of the kibble meal and replace with fresh food options such as eggs (soft boiled or raw), any meats, lightly cooked or rare, canned sardines: amzn.to/3vaXrj6 and some greens: amzn.to/49w0bKR 1/2 tsp in food once daily.
@@IamHappyHeart Nope! Stay free of what does not work, only downsides. Focus on the fresh food diet.

Two drops of Lavender. Diet is key here, thats the focus going forward. Fresh food 50:50. Get off the carbs and slowly introduce proteins: meats, eggs, canned sardines.

How can I stop my dog from licking Neem oil off their skin? and What are the risks or dangers if my dog ingests Neem oil?
Should be just fine if swallowed. If it's a real bother, you can use a cone temporarily or focus attention on walking/playing/outing.
About to try this hopefully works on my husky
Oh it works alright. Apply liberally down at base of the coat onto the skin and leave to soak in a few hours.
Thanks going to try
Works great, just cover all affected skin areas librally.
What do you think about using Happy Jack mange treatment? I'm nervous to use. Also have a cat in the home
I wouldn't let that stuff anywhere near my dog! Turps and tar oil!!!
Use the neem oil, it's safe (just not on pregnant or lactating bitches). 1 part neem oil to 4 parts carrier oil and your good to go. Not toxic to cats either.
I'm going to try this on my dog
It works, just follow the plan.

No problem with licking it. Just keep out of eyes. 4:1 is fine.
Neem oil: amzn.to/3iV0Igq
Kills fleas/ticks/mozzies/lice.
Use Nexguard

Dan,
I have a one year old bulldog with demodex/demodectic mange.

Ok to lick.

How long before this starts working? Sorry if I missed the answer in the comments.
You add x drops (depending on weight - see chart under pinned comment) once daily in food for 14 days, then stop 7 days, then a further 14 days and done. This protocol covers the entire worm life cycle expelling eggs, larvae, juveniles and adults.

I purchased the Neem product you suggested, however it says it is not to be ingested!
I'd also add some green superfood to all meals to help stop this problem over time with daily boosted antioxidants:
