I took my baby chihuahua took the vet ER, they gave me an antibiotic, I watched video's and did a little of everyone's suggestions, I used pedialyte, her medication i was told to give twice a day ! ml, She was so small I did every 6 hours I also kept putting pedialyte and chicken and banana gerber baby food , mixed with the pedialyte at room temperature, don't stop with the fluids, every thirty minutes, and extra before you go to bed, It works, EVERY 30 MN, fluids, it was very rough and several times I thought she had did, her heart was rely beating , I just kept gibing her fluids and in some of the fluids I added Karo syrup, because their sugar gets very low, it s day five, she is up walking around and went outside to go to the bathroom and looking better , I even seen her tail wagging, I also prayed every time I gave her fluids or food or her medication, and asked God to not let her die, It all worked, Thank you Jesus, non stop pedialyte it works

My 3 month old puppy got parvo even though never being outside. Starting vomiting foam and having reddish diarrhea for 2 days. Then I isolated him in my restroom. Did not want to eat/drink for 2 days. Had about 5 seizures. Day 3 started drinking water from a ketchup nipple. Seizures stopped. Day 5 started eating mushy dog food. Day 6 gave him chicken ham. Day 8 started walking. Day 10 started becoming happy. Cried for him. Strong doggy. Tested negative for parvo now. OfCourse used gloves, shoe covers, plastic apron, bleached every surface and used parvo spray.
My puppy Diesel had parvo a couple weeks ago. He was at the vet for 7 days. Parvo is no joke!! He went from 35 pounds to 20.3 pounds. So thankful he made it.💖
@@Sariahforever1st he was at the vet for 7 days, throwing up and diarrhea. He wasnt eating. I want to say, day 4 he stopped throwing up but still had diarrhea. Even on day 7 he had diarrhea but his vitals were a lot better. Hes happy and healthy now
over the 7 days was his temp constantly going up and down? my puppy is on day 5 with parvo at a 24 hour facility and his temp keeps fluxuating between 103 and 106 at his highest

@@adrianagomez2201 hi, as of today almost day 10, hasnt eaten in almost 9 days but drank a lot of water, temp is now normal, it was 106 last week, white blood cell count is now normal, he is responsive, alert, and barking at the techs now, no vomit for 2 days, 1 bout with diarehha but no blood in it, low protein levels, they told me this morning they were going to give him something call headastarch ithink, supposed to be a protein to get the levels up, they also gave him plasma for his low platlets and his red blood cell count is still low,i still wanna believe he is going to make it
My puppy survived. I did work as a vet tech for a time but that was nearly 10 years ago..I gave him his sub q fluids whenever his 'fluid hump' got low. My vet prescribed him anti diarrheals and anti emetic along w pro bios and I stuck like glue to the schedule. Otto ate tiny bits of boiled chicken once he was feeling better but I still had to stick with his anti diarrheal and anti emetic for several days. I used clear pedialyte and gave it to him in the cleaned syringes from his anti diarrheal meds if he wouldn't drink on his own. I bought him nutri vet puppy vite and shoved it down his throat a couple times a day so he had vitamins. It was not fun. I hated myself for constantly sticking him with needles, shoving syringes full of medicine and then the pills down his throat that he would even throw up so I had to give him another in an hour. It was awful to see him looking at me like why are you doing this?? But today he is 15 weeks and a crazy rambunctious malinoisxgsd puppy who loves life and is gaining weight like crazy. It's worth it. I was able to stay home with him that 5 days and he lived. I know most won't have that luxury but if there's any way you can it is 100% worth it. Stick the sub q needles and wait on the fluids. Shove the pills and syringes and paste down them. My vet just told me today she didn't think Otto would make it due to how super positive his test was and how small he was..but we did. He is the strongest little dude and I know yours is too. You both can do it too!

My puppy has parvo he's been at vet since Tuesday. I took him to vet the day he got sick. I hope he recovers soon. My last puppy died of parvo with home care. Parvo is no joke.
@@tanyaperales6681 you've been lucky because even vaccinated dogs can get it. Bringing a puppy into a parvo infested area is asking for trouble. The property should be decontaminated by being sprayed with hydrogen peroxide or another parvo killing disinfectant deep into the soil and within the home, on cement and asphalt.
I have two puppies. I noticed one didn’t eat on a Wednesday evening and was tested that next day because she was just not herself. She was better Sunday morning. Sunday evening my other puppy threw up. I waited a few days thinking I had her under control. By Wednesday she literally threw up 7 times before I was able to get her to the vet. I had to take her back 3 more times thereafter. She’s finally back to herself as of Sunday. It was a very very emotional and hard time seeing my babies go through that.
@@CrazyKatie89 yes. One took sick I wanna say wed evening and was taken to the vet that next day. Diagnosed with parvo. The vet was kind enough to give me enough meds for both and told me no need to bring the other one in just treat the same. By Sunday the first one was back to herself. The other started that Sunday evening but by Tuesday and Wednesday she went in for fluids. They’re thankfully both still here and very much well and healthy.

@@nimblenemo Cane is doing amazing! He’s almost 95 lbs and healthy. Bounced back like it was nothing once I got him back home. He’s BY FAR THE MOST EXPENSIVE DOG IVE EVER OWNED AFTER THAT VET BILL AND FOLLOW UP APPTS ETC! Worth every penny though. It was heartbreaking going in everyday and watching him get worse for days before he started doing even slightly better. I’d leave bawling because I couldn’t imagine what he would feel watching me leave him there in that very small pen hooked up to an IV AND UNABLE TO EVEN GET UP TO TRY AND GO WITH ME… he’s had his booster which was still recommended even having recovered from Parvo. He’s vaccinated against everything now. Kennel cough was our last appt and nobody there could believe how much bigger he’s gotten. Big ole boy but still thinks he can fit in my lap! 🤭
I can identify with your pain. I am also grieving for my puppy, Luna. She got sick on Friday and died on Monday. The vet did all he could do. I Don think this pain will ever go away.
Just lost my dog too he didn’t want to eat on Thursday and by Sunday morning at 4.30 am he passed we tried to save him to him to vet they gave us bags of fluid medication but it was too late..he was bleeding diarrhea it was like water and just throwing up and drooling! I can’t believe my baby is gone he made me so happy and if I was sad he would always lift me up! God why why? My Bubba 😢
the mother along with 3 of the 6 puppies contracted Paavo when the puppies were 7 months old. I took work off to monitor them. They didn’t have it all at once but as soon as one started to bounce back the others would begin. It really depends on the dog’s will; I kept all the littermates on the same room in different kennels for moral support and I remember I used some oral cal plus gel that was left offer from the welping. After that I used peanut butter on the last two. I felt stupid for not thinking of it sooner. The peanut butter is high calories and sticks to their mouth so they’re forced to swallow it. All of them survived. I never took them to the vet. They’re doing wonderful still. So don’t be scared. Feed your dog spring water like ozarka if possible and have potato salad and peanut butter. I would stick that little by little into the back of their mouth, not their throat; that’s bad. Anyways yea I also ordered some meal paste tube called under the weather that’s an energy booster; that helped too. So it’s not the end of the world just reassure your dog

My puppy died of parvo and we had her only ten days we started noticing when she was acting sad we took her to the pet hospital and we made the decision for her to stay at the hospital thay pumped fluids and things to help her she was doing good until parvo ate threw her intestines and so my mom made the decision to put her down and even when it's heartbreaking and not far I still know that she won't be in pain anymore she had a rough life with her past owner she was chained up not getting love at all and those past ten days what's the most loved she ever had and I know she's not in pain anymore I'll always have a hole in my heart shaped like her
Parvo will always break my heart, we had one come into the hospital today, unfortunately didn't make it. Fucking breaks my heart. For me it never gets any easier. 😢
@ThePhobosAnomall no, she lost a lot of weight, and in 2 days, i had to put her down. It reminded me of watching a person dying of cancer and decaying right in front of your eyes, but so much faster. It didn't even give her a chance.

My puppy died from parvo just yesterday. Was sick Thursday night. And passed away Sunday night. I’m extremely worried about my other puppy. He’s from the same litter. They both are 4 months. He actually got sick with very similar symptoms a week before she did. Lethargic, stopped eating and drinking…vomited and had loose stool…but I was able to get him to eat a little bit the next day of him not moving…he pulled himself out of it with little to no treatment.. but a week later…his sister got the same symptoms but it did not improve after 24 hours..it got worse and she passed…I’m taking my other puppy to the vet next week to have a check up to make sure he’s fine and in the clear…we’re monitoring everything and we did keep things as clean and disinfected everything while caring for my puppy who passed
Wow my baby boy got sick on Thursday as well actually it was the first day I noticed he didn’t want to eat and it happened so fast just Wednesday he ate all his food and played and acted normal but by Friday and Saturday he got so sick he couldn’t even walk we started him on meds and iv fluids but it was too late by Friday when I started fluids and antibiotics smh! He passed away on this past Sunday at 4:30 am 11/6/23..This is an ugly virus and it kills them ASAP! I miss him I’m so sick right now I can’t believe how fast he died! He was so healthy and big he didn’t even look 7months he was half Siberian husky and half pit bull a Pitsky! I miss him so much this has been so hard!💔😢😭
My puppy had parvo virus shes lethargic ang no appetite,I decided to go to nearest vet due to financial restrictions i bought the prescribed meds and supplements the i started to isolate her and follow the intsructions in my home..im thankful that she survived and getting her energy back gradually

My german shepherd puppy caught parvo at around 3 months. Stopped eating, drinking, started vomiting everywhere and had real bad diarrhea. Took her to the ER on day 3, they wanted $1200 to keep her overnight for 7 days and still wasnt guarenteed. It was either that or bring her there everyday to get a shot for $70 until she was better. I got her a shot that day.. My total was $289 for the first visit! after i seen that i knew i wouldnt be able to afford bringing her in everyday. I took her home and forced her to drink gatorade and chicken noodle soup. 2 days later she was back wagging her tail. Its been 3 weeks now and shes made a FULL recovery. I still think about how the ER tried to tax me knowing she was on her last leg and they were my only option. I can only imagine how many people have been in similiar situations and had to watch their dog suffer because they couldnt afford treatment. Ill NEVER let another dog go that long without getting the proper shots again. Learned my lesson. GET THOSE SHOTS! and i have 2 dogs the other was vaccinated already and shes never had it before so i dont even know how my german shepherd contracted it in the first place.

My puppies (born at home) 7 months ago got parvo and died because they were not vaccinated. They were 10 weeks old. One of them died at home, four of them died at vet. Every day one puppy died. And I was so devastated. So this time, with our new puppies (also born at home) I was so scared because even we cleaned everything, I know the virus is still here. So I was sure they need to be vaccinated as soon as is possible. But on Monday they got their first vaccine (they were healthy at that time) and on Tuesday they started to showing the symptoms. Three of them got to the vet on Wednesday (I had to choose only 3 😢), another one died on Wednesday at home, it was so fast. And another two are at home till now (today is Thursday). But they look terribly weak and I know they're gonna die. 😢 It's so hard... and also because I really did vaccinated them. It feels so unfair. :( the problem is, our Laika (their mom) is not vaccinated when I wanted to do it, our vet (only one in this city) was out of vaccines.😢

My baby girl caught Parvo recently. She is over a year old and was completely vaccinated. I’m so confused on how she caught it. I was told by our new vet that there are different strains of the virus. We had moved from the desert to a very wet and humid area. I’m not sure what we did wrong. My husband and I took our baby in right away. We had no idea that it was parvo until she was tested. We put her in the hospital because we had other pups at home. It was extremely expensive. As soon as we found out we called my daughter and had her remove all dog bowls. Also we laundered all our bedding as well as disinfect all furniture. All my pups were quarantined from eachother. Anyways my sweet girl made it. It was one of the longest weeks of our life. My main question is why did she catch parvo even after being fully vaccinated?
I'm bout to take my Shepherd pup to the vet for a parvo check. She's not overly lethargic, she played this morning with me, though not as much as usual. She picks at her food, but she always has. She's been drinking water fine. Her stool is loose but tan in color, not bloody that i've noticed, and I have been paying attention. She's been pooping like that about every 2-3 hours. I think she just has a bug, but I have to admit I'm worried about it. I'm on strike, so I can't afford a 1-2K vet bill. Hoping for a negative test.
Please make sure to tell people that even vaccinated puppies can get Parvo. You've said over and over you can prevent this with vaccinations, but that's just not true. On our farm, we've had three vaccinated puppies over the last two years contract Parvo. One lived, one died, one I am currently treating

I just lost a 5 months old puppy because all the vets were in religious holiday so could not have IV drops. We had to use "home remedy" which DOESN'T WORK AT ALL!!! Maybe some could help in potential but the problem with parvo is that the dog doesn't keep anything and will vomit everything. So how can you treat them with home remedy. I had some anti-vomiting but the dog would vomit it 5 minutes later. Intra-veins solute is the only solution. Parvo is no joke.
I had a baby Maltese with Parvovirus. She was 9 weeks old and 1.5lbs. I noticed blood in her stool on the wee wee pad. Had she pooped in the grass, I wouldn’t have seen it. I took her to the vet, she tested positive. He immediately put her in quarantine with a drip, and he also flushed her with Tamiflu. She was home two days later and fine. So scary! My other dog was fine as she was up to date on her boosters.

Yes, i tried it to on my 2 months old GSD. We gave him boiled solution of Tulsi, Giloy, Turmeric, Black pepper and clove. It may boost his immunity. Parvo is worst thing that ever happened to any dog...😢
I loved all the information until near the end, when he said there was "no cure." This is just false. I am no vet, and I have no extensive experience dealing with medical situations. However, I did save my dog by going to my local feed store and picking up some medication. a antiacide pill, anit dihrea, protien bites, and tons of pedylite. In just a couple of days, my dog was back to normal. I also fed him boiled chocolate and a small amount of steak ("because I thought he was dying and wanted him to have good food.") Long story short, if you're broke like me and you care about your dog, you can try to save him. Vets are good, but they charge way too much.
I have a question. Since there is no cure for parvo as the puppy has to built its own immune system and antibodies to fight the disease. Then what is the purpose of the vaccines? I have saved many pups from Parvo and am yet to lose one from this life threatening disease and all without the exorbitant vet fees.. my sister however had her dog vsccinated and he still died from the disease. I just saved tho pups who are siblings and miniature and who's mom died at 3 weeks and both survived under the same roof with home remedies.
Vaccines prevent new hosts for a virus to take hold in thus increasing the chance of said disease overcooking current vaccines no vaccine is 100% effective all the time but it does help to cut ones odds of catching a disease, and making recovery easier. Because immunity can take weeks to develop after vaccination, it is possible to become infected in the weeks immediately following vaccination. Before the days of vaccines we had sulfa drugs before that QUACKERY there is some truth in every home remedy but most if it is due to coincidence
Vaccines build up the immune response. Take a few minutes to google how vaccines work. In summary vaccines contain a very small “part” of the virus that’s enough to trigger the immune system to fight it, but not “big enough” that it causes Parvo Symptoms. Almost like tricking the body that it has Parvo without actually having it. The immune systems remembers how to fight the virus so if next time the virus enters the dog, its immune system knows how to handle it. The only way to protect against Parvo is vaccines.
I don't remember who told me this but it always stuck with me . Someone I met once was telling me his dog caught parvo , he said the vet wanted way to much to treat the dog on a chance of surviving being less then 4% So he took his dog home started giving him Pepto-Bismol I don't remember how much a day he said he gave his dog . However he said his dog survived and beat parvo. He didn't know if it would work. But it did. I don't know if it does either as I only found out after telling the guy a puppy I had once died in my arms after the previous owner was sick of cleaning up her vomit and diarrhea. I was young and didn't know what parvo was . The puppy died in my arms the minute my dad and I got to the vet.

Hey Joel. You can shower/bath him to clean him, but just make sure you disinfect the floor properly as the virus particles can sit in the environmemt for a very long time

Did not want to eat/drink for 2 days. Had about 5 seizures. Day 3 started drinking water from a ketchup nipple. Seizures stopped. Day 5 started eating mushy dog food. Day 6 gave him chicken ham. Day 8 started walking. Day 10 started becoming happy. Cried for him. Strong doggy. Tested negative for parvo now. OfCourse used gloves, shoe covers, plastic apron, bleached every surface and used parvo spray.
Thanks for sharing. I needed assurance that a 3-month old could go without food for 3-4 days.
Was he vaccinated before contracting?
maybe they got parvo virus from other dog's poop unknowingly carried on by your shoes from outside.

My puppy survived. I did work as a vet tech for a time but that was nearly 10 years ago..I gave him his sub q fluids whenever his 'fluid hump' got low. My vet prescribed him anti diarrheals and anti emetic along w pro bios and I stuck like glue to the schedule. Otto ate tiny bits of boiled chicken once he was feeling better but I still had to stick with his anti diarrheal and anti emetic for several days. I used clear pedialyte and gave it to him in the cleaned syringes from his anti diarrheal meds if he wouldn't drink on his own. I bought him nutri vet puppy vite and shoved it down his throat a couple times a day so he had vitamins. It was not fun. I hated myself for constantly sticking him with needles, shoving syringes full of medicine and then the pills down his throat that he would even throw up so I had to give him another in an hour. It was awful to see him looking at me like why are you doing this?? But today he is 15 weeks and a crazy rambunctious malinoisxgsd puppy who loves life and is gaining weight like crazy.
It's worth it. I was able to stay home with him that 5 days and he lived. I know most won't have that luxury but if there's any way you can it is 100% worth it.
Stick the sub q needles and wait on the fluids. Shove the pills and syringes and paste down them. My vet just told me today she didn't think Otto would make it due to how super positive his test was and how small he was..but we did. He is the strongest little dude and I know yours is too. You both can do it too!
Yes, don't be afraid of hurting the dogs' feelings. Mine didn't like the forced fluids and subcutaneous hydration, but you have to do it.

@@tanyaperales6681 you've been lucky because even vaccinated dogs can get it. Bringing a puppy into a parvo infested area is asking for trouble. The property should be decontaminated by being sprayed with hydrogen peroxide or another parvo killing disinfectant deep into the soil and within the home, on cement and asphalt.

I have two puppies. I noticed one didn’t eat on a Wednesday evening and was tested that next day because she was just not herself. She was better Sunday morning. Sunday evening my other puppy threw up. I waited a few days thinking I had her under control. By Wednesday she literally threw up 7 times before I was able to get her to the vet. I had to take her back 3 more times thereafter. She’s finally back to herself as of Sunday. It was a very very emotional and hard time seeing my babies go through that.

@@CrazyKatie89 yes. One took sick I wanna say wed evening and was taken to the vet that next day. Diagnosed with parvo. The vet was kind enough to give me enough meds for both and told me no need to bring the other one in just treat the same. By Sunday the first one was back to herself. The other started that Sunday evening but by Tuesday and Wednesday she went in for fluids.
They’re thankfully both still here and very much well and healthy.

He’s BY FAR THE MOST EXPENSIVE DOG IVE EVER OWNED AFTER THAT VET BILL AND FOLLOW UP APPTS ETC! Worth every penny though. It was heartbreaking going in everyday and watching him get worse for days before he started doing even slightly better. I’d leave bawling because I couldn’t imagine what he would feel watching me leave him there in that very small pen hooked up to an IV AND UNABLE TO EVEN GET UP TO TRY AND GO WITH ME… he’s had his booster which was still recommended even having recovered from Parvo. He’s vaccinated against everything now. Kennel cough was our last appt and nobody there could believe how much bigger he’s gotten. Big ole boy but still thinks he can fit in my lap! 🤭

Just lost my dog too he didn’t want to eat on Thursday and by Sunday morning at 4.30 am he passed we tried to save him to him to vet they gave us bags of fluid medication but it was too late..he was bleeding diarrhea it was like water and just throwing up and drooling! the mother along with 3 of the 6 puppies contracted Paavo when the puppies were 7 months old. I took work off to monitor them. They didn’t have it all at once but as soon as one started to bounce back the others would begin. It really depends on the dog’s will; I kept all the littermates on the same room in different kennels for moral support and I remember I used some oral cal plus gel that was left offer from the welping. After that I used peanut butter on the last two. I felt stupid for not thinking of it sooner. The peanut butter is high calories and sticks to their mouth so they’re forced to swallow it. All of them survived. I never took them to the vet. They’re doing wonderful still. So don’t be scared. Feed your dog spring water like ozarka if possible and have potato salad and peanut butter. I would stick that little by little into the back of their mouth, not their throat; that’s bad.
Anyways yea I also ordered some meal paste tube called under the weather that’s an energy booster; that helped too. So it’s not the end of the world just reassure your dog

My puppy died of parvo and we had her only ten days we started noticing when she was acting sad we took her to the pet hospital and we made the decision for her to stay at the hospital thay pumped fluids and things to help her she was doing good until parvo ate threw her intestines and so my mom made the decision to put her down and even when it's heartbreaking and not far I still know that she won't be in pain anymore she had a rough life with her past owner she was chained up not getting love at all and those past ten days what's the most loved she ever had and I know she's not in pain anymore I'll always have a hole in my heart shaped like her

My puppy died from parvo just yesterday. Was sick Thursday night. And passed away Sunday night. I’m extremely worried about my other puppy. He’s from the same litter. They both are 4 months. He actually got sick with very similar symptoms a week before she did. Lethargic, stopped eating and drinking…vomited and had loose stool…but I was able to get him to eat a little bit the next day of him not moving…he pulled himself out of it with little to no treatment.. but a week later…his sister got the same symptoms but it did not improve after 24 hours..it got worse and she passed…I’m taking my other puppy to the vet next week to have a check up to make sure he’s fine and in the clear…we’re monitoring everything and we did keep things as clean and disinfected everything while caring for my puppy who passed

Wow my baby boy got sick on Thursday as well actually it was the first day I noticed he didn’t want to eat and it happened so fast just Wednesday he ate all his food and played and acted normal but by Friday and Saturday he got so sick he couldn’t even walk we started him on meds and iv fluids but it was too late by Friday when I started fluids and antibiotics smh! He passed away on this past Sunday at 4:30 am 11/6/23..This is an ugly virus and it kills them ASAP! I miss him I’m so sick right now I can’t believe how fast he died! He was so healthy and big he didn’t even look 7months he was half Siberian husky and half pit bull a Pitsky! I miss him so much this has been so hard!💔😢😭

My german shepherd puppy caught parvo at around 3 months. Stopped eating, drinking, started vomiting everywhere and had real bad diarrhea. Took her to the ER on day 3, they wanted $1200 to keep her overnight for 7 days and still wasnt guarenteed. It was either that or bring her there everyday to get a shot for $70 until she was better. I got her a shot that day.. My total was $289 for the first visit! after i seen that i knew i wouldnt be able to afford bringing her in everyday. I took her home and forced her to drink gatorade and chicken noodle soup. 2 days later she was back wagging her tail. Its been 3 weeks now and shes made a FULL recovery. I still think about how the ER tried to tax me knowing she was on her last leg and they were my only option. I can only imagine how many people have been in similiar situations and had to watch their dog suffer because they couldnt afford treatment. Ill NEVER let another dog go that long without getting the proper shots again. Learned my lesson. GET THOSE SHOTS! and i have 2 dogs the other was vaccinated already and shes never had it before so i dont even know how my german shepherd contracted it in the first place.

My puppies (born at home) 7 months ago got parvo and died because they were not vaccinated. They were 10 weeks old. One of them died at home, four of them died at vet. Every day one puppy died. And I was so devastated.
So this time, with our new puppies (also born at home) I was so scared because even we cleaned everything, I know the virus is still here. So I was sure they need to be vaccinated as soon as is possible. But on Monday they got their first vaccine (they were healthy at that time) and on Tuesday they started to showing the symptoms. Three of them got to the vet on Wednesday (I had to choose only 3 😢), another one died on Wednesday at home, it was so fast. And another two are at home till now (today is Thursday). But they look terribly weak and I know they're gonna die. 😢

My baby girl caught Parvo recently. She is over a year old and was completely vaccinated. I’m so confused on how she caught it. I was told by our new vet that there are different strains of the virus. We had moved from the desert to a very wet and humid area. I’m not sure what we did wrong. My husband and I took our baby in right away. We had no idea that it was parvo until she was tested. We put her in the hospital because we had other pups at home. It was extremely expensive. As soon as we found out we called my daughter and had her remove all dog bowls. Also we laundered all our bedding as well as disinfect all furniture. All my pups were quarantined from eachother. Anyways my sweet girl made it. It was one of the longest weeks of our life. My main question is why did she catch parvo even after being fully vaccinated?

I'm bout to take my Shepherd pup to the vet for a parvo check. She's not overly lethargic, she played this morning with me, though not as much as usual. She picks at her food, but she always has. She's been drinking water fine. Her stool is loose but tan in color, not bloody that i've noticed, and I have been paying attention. She's been pooping like that about every 2-3 hours. I think she just has a bug, but I have to admit I'm worried about it. I'm on strike, so I can't afford a 1-2K vet bill. Hoping for a negative test.

Please make sure to tell people that even vaccinated puppies can get Parvo. You've said over and over you can prevent this with vaccinations, but that's just not true. On our farm, we've had three vaccinated puppies over the last two years contract Parvo. One lived, one died, one I am currently treating

I just lost a 5 months old puppy because all the vets were in religious holiday so could not have IV drops. We had to use "home remedy" which DOESN'T WORK AT ALL!!! Maybe some could help in potential but the problem with parvo is that the dog doesn't keep anything and will vomit everything. So how can you treat them with home remedy. I had some anti-vomiting but the dog would vomit it 5 minutes later. Intra-veins solute is the only solution. Parvo is no joke.
I had a baby Maltese with Parvovirus. She was 9 weeks old and 1.5lbs. I noticed blood in her stool on the wee wee pad. Had she pooped in the grass, I wouldn’t have seen it. I took her to the vet, she tested positive. He immediately put her in quarantine with a drip, and he also flushed her with Tamiflu. She was home two days later and fine. So scary! My other dog was fine as she was up to date on her boosters.

Only TWO Vaccines??? No way that works!!! Here in Arizina USA Vets have to do 4 to 5 DAPPv vaccines. One shot every 3 weeks.
I live in AZ as well, 4-5 is recommended but it’s not forced. I only got 2 for my dog.

Yes, i tried it to on my 2 months old GSD. We gave him boiled solution of Tulsi, Giloy, Turmeric, Black pepper and clove. It may boost his immunity. Parvo is worst thing that ever happened to any dog...😢

However, I did save my dog by going to my local feed store and picking up some medication. a antiacide pill, anit dihrea, protien bites, and tons of pedylite. In just a couple of days, my dog was back to normal. I also fed him boiled chocolate and a small amount of steak ("because I thought he was dying and wanted him to have good food.") Long story short, if you're broke like me and you care about your dog, you can try to save him. Vets are good, but they charge way too much.

I have a question. Since there is no cure for parvo as the puppy has to built its own immune system and antibodies to fight the disease.
Then what is the purpose of the vaccines? I have saved many pups from Parvo and am yet to lose one from this life threatening disease and all without the exorbitant vet fees.. my sister however had her dog vsccinated and he still died from the disease.
I just saved tho pups who are siblings and miniature and who's mom died at 3 weeks and both survived under the same roof with home remedies.

Someone I met once was telling me his dog caught parvo , he said the vet wanted way to much to treat the dog on a chance of surviving being less then 4%
So he took his dog home started giving him Pepto-Bismol I don't remember how much a day he said he gave his dog .
However he said his dog survived and beat parvo.
He didn't know if it would work.
But it did.
