Same here. I like muh purty graphics as much as the next gamer but ultimately what's going to make me buy this is the game play itself, which is aces.
DRAGOTH BELMONT graphics do matter but not as much as the content

The real thing I see as an improvement is the frame rate and smoothness of the game play and that alone makes it worth it to me.

Better resolution and overall cleaner image too. No black borders. Probably better draw distance as well. But yeah, it's a port, not a remake or intensive remaster.

Holy hell was the framerate that bad on PS3!!? I never remember it being much of a issue on 360.

Raul Oneill actually its completely free to play. I think the point of dragons dogma remaster is to make money to pay for an english patch for online then they will bring it over

If I'm being honest, I' rather have a port of this on Switch than Skyrim. I'm happy to buy this again for my PS4 but I'd also love a Switch port as well.

Framerate greatly improved and black top / bottom bars are gone. Graphics marginally better (it actually looked pretty good on PS3 IMO).

Why couldn't they atleast update the texture of everything? Like a texture overhaul. And wheres 60fps?
doesn't look much better apart from maybe double the resolution on PS4. DDDA looks and runs so much better on PC with mods. Looks absolutely gorgeous running RuDy ENB

YES FINALLY I CANT WAIT!!!! I've played over 400 games and watched over 10000 walkthroughs and this is in my top five for gameplay and experience but number one for story. If you want an all around amazing game get dragons dogma dark arisen for the quality of what you experience in this game I gladly would pay $150. If anyone wants to know how to get the highest damage possible just ask I figured out how to get 5234 strength and 5792 magic. I one shot everything.

Mr B-T it does! Zero lag so far with a sorcerer and a mystic knight with two great cannons and meteors all around, and that used to DESTROY frame rates

New Model Dark Souls 3 is 45 fps on ps4 pro actually, it was patched at some point.
I bought this game thinking it was a brand new dragons dogma for ps4 lol i was pissed when I realized it was just a remake for ps4.

Is there a quick travel function yet? If not, I'm not interested. That really annoyed the shit out of me on PS3. Especially because you alsways had to walk the same way to get from point A to point B and the same patterns of enemies and so on...
Dieter Hoeller actually, you can fast travel using Ferrystone/Eternal Ferrystone to the nearest Portcrystal. please don't say you don't know about this. Like, seriously?
The Bitterblack Isle dlc added infinite travel.
PAragon Bytes yeah, on ps3, you get Eternal Ferrystone if you have original Dragon's Dogma vanilla savegame. but, if you fresh start the game on Dark Arisen on ps3, you don't get that Eternal Ferrystone. but on PC, you still get that Eternal Ferrystone even if you fresh start the game.
That's why I got it then. I did buy the first game and then traded it in for Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen. Hope they include it this time. We'll see.

Well the upgraded graphics on skyrim were better than that and they were terrible. Looks like the didn't do shit on this one either. That being said I'll still pick it up today for my xbone.

Scott K trust me, while the game may not look a lot better, it was horribly taxing on the older gen of console to the point where sometimes the game would run at like 10 frames a second due to the amount of effect on it. So far in my play through on Xbox one I have deliberately tried to lag it and nothing has slowed it down noticibely yet. Also, textures are improved in sharpness and detail, but not an overhaul like some expected, the game was gorgeous as is on 360
