It's a criminaly underated game. I remember buying it from a pawn shop thinking it was just another capcom project but damn I was wrong.
I've bought this game 5 different times, including its original release, just in hopes of keeping it alive
I bought the original on 360, and bought it again on pc after my xbox got ringed.
They're masterworks all, you can't go wrong

I just wanna say that anyone who played DD is a legend. DD is never popular, even today not many at all know about it, even less played it, but here we are, a small loyal fanbase who refuse to let this game die, waiting for ten years for a sequel.
The pawns used to say "Strength in numbers, Arisen!" but they contradict themselves by saying "Even in numbers, a weakling is a weakling still" Which one is it Capcom? Are we just a weakling in numbers?
I hope Capcom recognize the original fanbase of DD , if it ever gets popular with the sequel

Dragon's dogma is popular. It's not mainstream media popular such as skyrim and Elden ring but it is popular with a very loyal fan base and DD2 will surpass even heavy weight AAA titles.
I own this damned game on 4 different platforms and have no regrets. Though, my 360 copy is the superior one as it still has the Berserk items
It`s probably because of the heavily focused pawn system. But the game is excellent.
@@SaltandDragons Skyrim: mindlessly swing sword. Elden Ring: people bandwagoning to say they play "hard" games, all while crying how hard the flavor text from soft quests are to do without realizing from soft quests are pointless world building. DD requires a brain and most don't like that.
@@QQnowQQlater Dragons dogma is great but Skyrim is legendary, sure it' doesn't have the most entertaining combat but the world was huge and fleshed out nicely. Elden ring is another amazing game, it's not about playing a "hard " game, there's more to it then just playing something difficult. Both these games are insanely popular for a reason

Itsuno, thank you for not giving up on this IP, this game truly has potential and we are glad as a community that you are continuing to keep Dragon's Dogma alive even if it doesn't get the attention it deserves. This is the most underrated RPG out there that deserves a second chance!

DD2 on the RE engine with a full amount of time and money and the hindsight to see what they did wrong with DD1 could make it one of the greatest games of all time. I'm nearing dangerous levels of hype at a time where almost every other new mega-game by studios I used to love just makes me feel like I'm bound to be disappointed. I'm going to just allow myself for once to give into my darker side and be completely unnecessarily hyped for this game though.
Can we please just get an hour or two long video of them chatting about DD1 and their gaming and RPG etc. philosophies? I loved hearing them talk about what inspired them, would love to hear more.

Dragon's Dogma was one of my brother's most favorite games. I wish he could have seen that they were making a Dragon's Dogma 2. With how long and how much loved playing this game, how he platinum'd the game and -still- kept playing, this announcement would have made his absolute year. I myself really enjoyed the game, and I can't wait to try it myself. For the folks working on Dragon's Dogma 2, thank you very much for keeping the dream alive.

I didn't have an opportunity to try Dragons Dogma Online, but Dragons Dogma: Dark Arisen remains one of my very favorite games of all time. Can't wait to visit the world of Gransys once again!
10 years already huh? Dragon's Dogma is truly a great game that I've always really really liked as it's always been a game that I really enjoyed the combat and systems of and had hoped that one day it would get a sequel as it's certainly a game worthy of receiving one and now a decade later it will be, and I couldn't be happier.

There hasn't been spells as cool as the ones in this in ages. The meteor strike, the balls the mystic knight could hit with his sword or w.e. he used were so awesome.
Sont forget the magick archer, these arrows are hitting deadly.
Or the archmage's storm spell, literally creating hurricanes arpund him and the enemies.
Whats the best is the realistic exhaustion of panting and taking a breath after such a casting.
Our diligence in loving this game will hopefully see a reward after these many cycles in the cruel enending ring

Considering how the plot was in Dragon's Dogma, a sequel can basically be a remake in a way. DD2 will probably have the same plot with different character but with much more.

@@SchradeDemise That can definitely be a 'True' ending that a lot of JP games tend to do. Do things the right way and you can break the cycle and get the best ending.
I hope the new one is filled with BBI style dungeons. That was one of my favorite experiences in gaming. It's fun the first time but then you run back through it and there's a totally new set of enemies filling it... that's my favorite part of the original.

I first played Dragons Dogma 10 years ago on May 22nd for like 4 hours because the next day I gave birth to my 1st child lol! Since then ive played it and Dark Arisen 5 times. I am so happy we are finally getting a sequel!!! I'm so happy!

I've bought the OG game on PS3, Dark Arisen, PS4, Steam and now xbox version. Game still holds up fantastic to this day and super happy to see ya'll make a sequel to one of my favorite games of all time.
