Another issue with them banning birth control, is that it doesn't _just_ affect women/AFABs that are using it to prevent pregnancies. Hi! Middle aged housewife with teenaged kids here. Parenthood definitely is NOT the "purpose of my life." It isn't, or shouldn't be, the purpose of ANYONE'S life, male or female. If you think parenthood is the purpose of your life, then please, for the love of all that is green and good, do NOT have children. Because you clearly have way too much psychological investment in something you cannot ultimately control. Talk to someone, wait until you're in a more balanced and grounded place in life. Then consider kids. Maybe.
if every woman’s purpose in life was to just reproduce their life would be meaningless. you’d be raising a girl whom you expect to also potentially raise a girl and it would just continue. reproducing for what? to continue reproducing? their logic is insane

No adult should rely on another adult for everything. Like how demeaning is that, if u need a bottle of water, you dont have money of ur own and have to ask someone for that... It was her life n she will not allow that happening to me n brought me up with those ideals

Both of my parents worked until my mom had my older sister and the plan was always for her to go back to work but then they had me and I'm disabled so she wasn't able to go back to work. But you know what, my mom is also a feminist.
Feminist and housewife are not and never were mutually exclusive. It is a strawman argument to "feminism destroying the home, because mommy isn't doing what she is SUPPOSED to be doing"
@heavensgate2245 I'm sorry to have to tell you that Till Lindemann was accused by several women of abusing his status to lure female fans into having sex with him. He even had people "cast" attractive young women for him under the guise of "after show parties" or "pre-show parties". One witness also reported that some of the women at those parties seemed to have been drugged. The criminal investigations against him have been dropped but I still think there was an abuse of power and status going on. I believe the victims and witnesses; it's just that it's hard to make an actual criminal case out of the evidence that is there. It's a bit of a legal grey area. Lindemann, of course, claims that all those sexual contacts were consensual.
There actually is a pipeline between feminism, especially radical feminism, and extreme social conservatism. Andrea Dworkin wrote extensively about conservative-feminism back in the 70s. You especially see the union of extreme feminism and extreme social conservatism in trans exclusionary and sex worker exclusionary “feminism”, and marxist-leninist hard-left feminism.
The reason is because many feminists are reactionaries in the same way that conservatives would be. They either have deep-rooted misogynistic or archaic views about themselves and also have bought into the lies dispensed by reactionary media. All to really generate division between the masses and political pundits know this, so they ply it to their advantage to get votes and support.
I'm sorry friend, but terfs exist, are rooted in certain streams of feminist thought and are on the same level of conservative deranged brainrot, so even if this specific one is a troll I am pretty sure people like this exist.
19:02 And that's the clearest give away that this is all a grift. No trad wife would go to the kind of concert where there was even a chance of someone taking off so much as their socks. Or probably any concert for that matter.
I'm a feminist and *gasp* was a house wife for 5 years while my daughter was little. It made the most financial sense because of the cost of daycare in our area. Thankfully my husband was never a jerk about money, but I still hated not earning my own income (I have had a job since I was 15 years old.) but it was all worth it in the end- I got to stay at home with my beautiful daughter and now I earn about 50% more money than my husband. 🤑
Trad wives want the 1950s suburb tv commercial esthetic without having all the downsides of the sociocultural system that demanded women to be this way.
And on top of that, these ppl don't seem to understand that time period was something of a historical anomaly, only made possible by the very specific conditions that led up to it! What they want is a fantasy of a simplistic life in a middle class (whte) luxury that only ever existed for a small part of the population. If these folks lived in the 50s, it's much more likely that they wouldn't have lived next door to June Cleaver (and not bc Leave it to Beaver was just a fcking TV show 😅)!
I really hope the life she's building is worth sacrificing her free thought. I feel sad for people thinking this way, they must have incredibly deep-seated insecurities.
I left this video running on my phone and my cat (who loves to watch tv) tried to pet you and was very curious about you. You made my kitty happy thank you
Ive also seen a trend of gen-x LGBT members who claim they fought for gay rights (I dont know how the specific people online that I've seen have contributed, so i say claimed as a caution but not necessarily out of doubt) now saying they regret having fought for their own rights. They say this in videos stitched to videos of people who are trans, nonbinary, and otherwise out of the cisgender label. This is so frustrating to me, partially because theyre often stitching people filming videos while in emotional states who are just ranting and not necessarily in a state to articulate themselves properly. Basically theyre trying to say theyre sad that they stood up for their own rights, that they fought so that theyd be less likely to be murdered by ignorant assholes with no help from cops meant to protect EVERYONE.
Honestly it's hard for me to guess whether they actually believe that stuff. The fact that there are gay and even trans people who are being so against equality makes me wonder.....did they inhale too much asbestos as kids or are they just hoping siding with bigots will make them one of the cool kids and not a target. The "I'm one of the good ones" argument. Except we all know the minute they aren't needed their new side will throw them under the bus so hard.
Children were always raises by other people. Servants, the enslaved, tutors. Black and Brown women raised so if not most children in the United States, while having their children taken away constantly, up until the latest 80s.
If anything having a trustworthy adult to look after your child every once in a while gives parents more time to be good parents. I wouldn’t want my kid to have only me as their support system.
Imagine hating birth control. Like bro, it's valid to use it to prevent pregnancy, but there are SO many women, and people, who use it to help with debilitating medical conditions that medicine can't bother to research more...
I think the person who was talking about concerts looking like a strip show might have been talk about Olivia Rodrigo's GUTS tour. I remember a lot of people throwing hissy fits over it because they thought it was too sexual
There's other stuff that could set the tradwife conservative off like Chappell Roan's "Eat Me" shirt at Coachella when the guitarists and drummer have "Eat the Rich" shirts. Come to think of it, almost everything about Chappell would irritate the bigoted tradwife.
I misread the title as "feminist trad wife" and thought we were gonna look at videos of someone talking about feminism while videos of them making bread from scratch or gardening, whatever trad wives do, play in the background
Can't stand when people are like "Oh people are happier? Then why are so many people on antidepressants?" It's like complaining about people being cleaner but more people are using soap
A few ways: -pressure and/or even gaslighting from family or peers -despising an aspect of feminism that had more light shed on it in recent years (or in their mind "took it too far") -past trauma, had a bad experience with one or two people and it made her think thats how they all were (kinda like how if someone cis-het commits a crime people talk about them by name, but if its someone LGBT all they'll emphasize is that they're gay or trans and represents everyone in the community. Or if a journalist who happens to be a feminist writes an article about an idea or potential changes to a movie that represents all feminists somehow)
The “turned tradwife” finds logical contradiction in feminism. Here is a logical contraction: “all opinions are my husband’s”, then what she is tweeting is a man’s opinion. Why is she is tweeting if she doesn’t have any opinion? Why would any woman want to learn what a women’s life purpose is from a man? The tweet uses the subject “I” which means she is trying to explain it from her perspective how is it for her as a “feminist turned tradwife” but it isn’t actually how she feels at all????!!!🥴🥴🥴🥴
It's probably just a fancy way of saying that it's her husband making these tweets in her name as though using the profile of a woman gives his bs more validity. It's r/asablackman (or in this case, a woman) 101.
It’s so weird because in feminist spaces in 17:12 there are like guides on protecting yourself and knowing if your drink is spiked or stuff like that so to say it is encouraging it is wild.

Fantastic point with the first tweet - about what they expect people to do. If men can and women can’t, who are the unmarried men supposed to do it with? 😂 I think gay is the answer!
My mom was a single mom before she met my dad, she had kids early in life, my brother and sister, and she was raising them well. It was certainly a struggle, but she could have kept going without my dad. But she met my dad, they fell in love practically instantly and they eventually got married and had me. My dad worked hard so that my mom could stay home with me and raise me until I started school. Something she wished she could give my siblings, but it just wasn't possible being a single mother. And my dad never thought less of her, not for getting pregnant at a young age, not for wanting to be a stay-at-home mother, all he thought was, "I love this brave, selfless woman."
Only 2 or 3 states have paid maternity leave by law. Something like 20% of women go back to work TWO WEEKS after giving birth in the US. You were exactly right when you pointed out that these politicians claim to be “family first” but do not want to implement anything real that would actually help families.
This feminist housewife knows that it is my husband who depends on me, not the other way around. My life would improve if I got to go to work 8 hours a day while someone else did the nitty gritty daily household stuff and then my husband had to help me do the rest at night. My work hours would decrease while his increased. If my going to work means that he has to work more, then that means my staying home is a boon to him, not me. And I was the breadwinner for 9 years, so I do know what the other side is like and even with having to still do most of the housework and all the afterwork child-rearing.
How does someone think feminism is telling women to have causal sex when it abiut not shaming wome for doing it because men dont get shame for it instead men get shame for being a vrigin while women who are virgin are treated as ideal how about we dont care about it let people do what they want with their bodies be male or female

I hate when they call going to bars or clubs “dangerous situations” the VAST majority of assaults happen in workplaces or YOUR OWN HOME. Very seldomly does it actually happen somewhere like a bar. Because what actually assaulters look for is people alone and vulnerable and that sadly is most commonly people you know not some stranger in a crowded public place
10 weeks is super generous for the US. Most women I know went back to work after 6 weeks, and paid leave is not legally protected at all in my state, so when I worked in restaurants and retail, there were women that went back to work after only a few days because they couldn't afford to take the time off, as it was not paid. It's absurd and sad.
I'm a feminist and I wish I was born wealthy enough to live like a gentleman's daughter - reading, learning languages, playing music, walking in green spaces on warm afternoons. Unfortunately I was not, but at least I have access to birth control, education, voting and a decent career that isn't just doing some rich guy's laundry with a side of secretly baring his illegitimate children in shame.
I recently went to a Witch Club Satan concert, where the female band played black metal naked on stage. It was amazing and raw, but it was hardly a strip show, even with full nudity it was not sexy.
In the UK at least you have to pay a minimum amount of taxes for a certain number of years to qualify for your state pension. It's not a huge pension amount but funds are funds. If someone can afford to stay at home then great, but make sure that your old age plan, employability and ability to leave if needed are all thought through.
26:20 "more children are being raised by strangers than their own mothers" I genuinely thought this was referring to adoption/foster homes, but Kiwi seems to interpret this as being about kids being raised by maids? I know some terfs are against surrogacy, so i wouldn't be surprised if a trad wife was against adoption. P.S more kids in foster homes is technically a good thing, since they would've been taken out of bad homes.
This is about kids being raised in any way outside of the AFAB parent staying home and exclusively focusing on said child and home. Daycare, nannies, babysitters, grandparents, all of them awful strangers in tradwifeland. Forget about how wet nurses were the standard and nursing your own child used to be for the poors. Also forget how the nuclear family was a modern design.
the thing about "my husband won't leave me so it's fine" i understand the desire for optimism but even believing your relationship is unbreakable - what if he becomes terminally ill? even in places with reasonably priced healthcare, you can't save enough for retirement quick enough, especially on one income
It’s not even just about your ability to leave! What if your husband gets sick, injured, or even dies. Now you’re suddenly without an income with kids to take care of! It doesn’t need to be something crazy just some kind of fallback. My mom has her cosmetology license and she does a little of it on the side but could also jump into doing it full time if need be. She wouldn’t make as much as what my dad is making but it would still be enough to provide for the family if something ever happened
What I find really weird is that the only time I’ve ever heard anyone say that being a housewife is unacceptable and undermines feminism is from anti-feminists arguing against us… I’ve never heard an actual feminist endorsing that idea.
I kinda did the opposite of your title, I was deep in right propaganda until I realized that it was so hateful towards women. Now I'm a feminist and 4B and I don't think I will ever look back.
26:51 In the US, whether you have any parental leave at all depends on your employer, because there's no government-mandated parental leave. I'm not a parent and wouldn't want to be even if I were independently wealthy, ten weeks of leave for anything sounds like an astoundingly long amount of time to my American ears.
I go to metal rock/metal shows (and one rap show) and there has only been ONE band that dressed provocatively. And I've been to 10 shows and have seen 34 bands in total.
29:05 Not to mention, even if the DON'T divorce, there's a chance some accident or health issue could suddenly leave the husband dead or unable to work. Now the wife has to provide for what must be their 8 children if they're so against birth control/abortion
You make an excellent point that it's important to have the ability to be independent before getting married. Really can't argue with you there. So it's pretty hard to hear as a 25 year old who may never be fully independent haha im not crying you are
Ik a "tradwife" who stayed home had the 2 kids n all n her hubby passed. Well. Turns out she LOVES to spend. Hubby's (she had 2) both hid money from her coz of her spending problems

Dies, gets injured, gets fired and struggles to find employment for a while or at the same pay level, their living costs go up for some reason, struggles with his mental health/stress and has to reduce to part time hours for a while. So many reasons to keep both people in the workforce as long as possible even if it's just 1 shift a week or short term seasonal work a few times a year to keep something current on their CV
Another issue with them banning birth control, is that it doesn't _just_ affect women/AFABs that are using it to prevent pregnancies.
I have endometriosis, and birth control is one of the easiest ways to help treat it. I vomit and pass out EVERY time I'm on my period. Its brutal, and unfortunately, because I'm 20 years old, nobody will approve a hysterectomy for me. Ever.

"What if your future husband wants kids?" Wtf, you can just bring the issue up on the first date like hey I cannot give birth and thus every insecure man who wants only biological kids that were birthed by his wife can turn away. You know, there are a lot of men who do not want kids

You're just as likely to find a dangerous man in clerical garb, or a police or military uniform, or a CEO's business suit, as you are to find one in a nightclub. I get so tired of the victim-blaming.
I was thinking this too. People trying to poke holes in things they don’t understand expect people who advocate let’s say, Feminism, to be permanent teachers for people who don’t know any better, and contrarians will create bad faith arguments to try and tear down those ‘teachers’ like, they love living in this space of limited ideas and lack of knowledge.
Wtf? Most feminists do in fact say that you can 100% be a housewife if you choose to, just don't try to force it on other people?
exactly, from what i’ve seen, most of them solely want you to ask yourself why you want to be one. i think thats reasonable, as when you become a housewife you can expect to have years between your last work experience, and potentially being left, if not the husband becoming ill
I'm a young asexual and I get slut shamed by ppl who ASSUME I sleep around, then judged for NOT wanting any sex at all. Standards are bogus.
I've had the same experiences as an aro-ace woman. When I told a (male) friend of mine I've never had sex and didn't ever want to, he tried to tell me to just try to have sex, because I might like it. And that the experience could possibly be with him. I seemed like he got off on trying to "take my virginity". Safe to say we're not friends anymore.

Why shouldn't it be? We're all meant to have kids. Some people love it. Just because you didn't like it, doesn't mean it's bad for other people too. Stop projecting your negativity.
@@HenrySimmons1225 I'm sorry, but what? I never said I didn't like being a mother, or that it is bad for people to have kids. In fact, I'm 100% positive on motherhood. But it is NOT the purpose of my life. And no one is "meant to have kids." People who think that way do not make good parents, generally. Your children will never be able to live up to your expectations.
@@HenrySimmons1225bet that when you see a report about neglected or abused children you say: all kids deserve parents but not all parents deserve kids.
As the child of a stay at home mother with two autistic children (including myself), one of whom has fairly high support needs, I can confirm that being a mother is in fact a full time job.
Especially since my brother's needs are so high that she's probably going to be stuck with him until one of them dies.
I heard this happened to Laci Green.
Which saddened me because she was the reason I became more familiar and comfortable with female anatomy as an asexual non-binary afab.
"jobs don't define you. how much money you make does not define you. unless you're a billionaire then it does define you. it defines you as on the dinner menu" 😂 i love you kiwi, never change
I don´t have a job and I´m a feminist. Don´t really understand the correlation this woman trying to make with her tweets between all women have to work and feminism. It´s all about equality, right? Some women don´t work due to disability, or something completely else. Feminism is about everyone having the same inherent value as human beings. How is that so hard to grasp for some people??
Because those people seem to genuinely believe that some people DESERVE to be valued less

No adult should rely on another adult for everything.
Like how demeaning is that, if u need a bottle of water, you dont have money of ur own and have to ask someone for that... It was her life n she will not allow that happening to me n brought me up with those ideals
Ya but what do there are lots of woman think Housewife is a choice
I disagree with the “have him come to your place for a one night stand” because if he’s crazy, he now knows where you live.
True, but he also could have been working on converting his basement into a dungeon the weeks prior to meeting you, take him to your dungeon first.
If only we had love hotels 😔
I also do not think it's a good idea. Lots of women have been assaulted in their own homes and then they cannot even feel safe there anymore.
A person who truly happy in life doesn’t need to constantly post about how happy and “traditional” they are
I don't understand why feminist and housewife have to be mutually exclusive.
Going under the assumption that this is actually written by the husband: I think Rammstein concerts traumatized him.

Why did you remind me that terfs exist
@@FarmSimDaddygenuine question do u just like hatewatch this channel
@@FarmSimDaddywhy are you here then
The reason is because many feminists are reactionaries in the same way that conservatives would be. They either have deep-rooted misogynistic or archaic views about themselves and also have bought into the lies dispensed by reactionary media. All to really generate division between the masses and political pundits know this, so they ply it to their advantage to get votes and support.
this has to be a troll (i mean the feminist turned trad wife) right? RIGHT!? i'm praying this is a troll
You made my kitty happy thank you
The thing i find funny is how many men forget how many men stopped dying "falling down the stairs" after no fault divorce came in.

Nice username and icon.
A few ways:
-pressure and/or even gaslighting from family or peers
-despising an aspect of feminism that had more light shed on it in recent years (or in their mind "took it too far")
-past trauma, had a bad experience with one or two people and it made her think thats how they all were (kinda like how if someone cis-het commits a crime people talk about them by name, but if its someone LGBT all they'll emphasize is that they're gay or trans and represents everyone in the community.
The tweet uses the subject “I” which means she is trying to explain it from her perspective how is it for her as a “feminist turned tradwife” but it isn’t actually how she feels at all????!!!🥴🥴🥴🥴
Yes trad wives are like this
It's probably just a fancy way of saying that it's her husband making these tweets in her name as though using the profile of a woman gives his bs more validity. It's r/asablackman (or in this case, a woman) 101.

Lesbianism is the answer. I can be a housewife (as well as my fiancee can) without feeling like I am conforming to a role that is expected of me

Oooh i'm earlyy ! Can't wait to watch the video, thanks Savannah!
But sex is always consequence-free for men in the kind of society these people want, where men have all the power.

In the UK at least you have to pay a minimum amount of taxes for a certain number of years to qualify for your state pension. It's not a huge pension amount but funds are funds. I genuinely thought this was referring to adoption/foster homes, but Kiwi seems to interpret this as being about kids being raised by maids? I know some terfs are against surrogacy, so i wouldn't be surprised if a trad wife was against adoption.
P.S more kids in foster homes is technically a good thing, since they would've been taken out of bad homes.

Oddly enough, my father taught me to not be discrimitory towards anyone and to be feminist and all lmfao
