I’m American and I’ve had British conservatives try to tell me that our healthcare system is better than theirs is because of the wait time. I could not be bothered to try to explain to them that there’s a wait time here in America too. Also, I lived in England for three years as a child. So I know that the British healthcare system is not perfect. But nowhere is perfect.
Plus, if the med you need to keep alive in the US has a co-pay of 300.00... US It doesn't matter because your going to die or end up in the hospital where you can easily make a bill of 50,000 US plus....US medical works great for people with great jobs and awesome health insurance...It sucks for the rest...
I'd like to see the Tories argue that our Healthcare system is better when they break their leg here and get fined hundreds to thousands for simply being carted away by the ambulance.
They clearly have never heard the stories about people in U.S dying in hospital waiting rooms. I can still remember the one for sure. I was 18 and it was shortly before my 19th birthday in 2007. And when I double checked the year just now, there are still recent stories of people dying in waiting rooms.
I weigh about 106 lbs and am a very tiny woman. I used to box for years. Two years ago, my son's father physically attacked me. While i wouldn't hit him, despite being MUCH bigger, he couldn't land a punch. Because i know how to fight and block. He's out of shape and untrained. He is slow and choreographs his swings. My forearms were bruised, and i got a restraining order, but it could have been worse.
Even if pansexual meant "I have sex with everyone", how the HELL does someone conclude that "I'll have sex with everyone" actually means "I'll have sex with every*thing*"?
It's the same logic they use when they react with "don't you dare flirt with/be attracted to me" when a gay person comes out to them. They think that anyone who isn't exactly like them is a deviant and bad.
They come to that conclusion to piss the person their talking to off. I don't think they actually care about the specifics of the definition of pansexual, they just wanna feel smarter than someone by pointing out a "flaw" in their "logic."
hello, pan person here, at least its not the overtired "pAnSeXuAlS wAnT tO f*cK pAnS" bc that was never funny and never will be. (its still a bad take)
"Pansexuality is sexual, romantic, or emotional attraction towards people of all genders, or regardless of their sex or gender identity."- Google definition.. in what way does that make conservatives think they're attracted to animals or children??
I hate how they get so much wrong about Mario, like Mario is pretty dang accepting, he plays karts with BOWSER, A MURDER TURTLE! THE GUY IS REALLY ACCEPTING!
@cloudyskyz2237 Best part is if you talk to Luigi while wearing the gown, he'll be like "Bro, you didn't tell me you were getting married?" Wearing dresses ain't even out of character enough for him to bring it up.
@@rainpooper7088Another good part is that in the comics Ligui dressed as Peach for undercover work, learning he enjoys flowy dresses in the process. Mario originally tried to go as "fake Peach" but had to fight Bowser. It's hinted at later games Ligui wants to try dresses again but too nervous.
5:37 this meme makes me genuinely angry because I'm autistic and in one of the manuals for one of the mario games(don't remember which one) it literally states that mario has gone on so many adventures and met so many different kinds of people with their own cultures and customs that he literally has no close-minded thought in his head.
forreal i got so angry too because i'm super attached to the mario games and mario would NOT have said that!! i know it's silly to take the meme seriously but now i feel less alone after seeing that i wasn't the only one to be upset about that 😓
I specifically hate going to the dentist because it costs my poor mother at LEAST 1,000 when our family of 5 gets a cleaning! JUST A CLEANING!!! then we find out one of my siblings has a cavity and it's even more money on top of that!!
It’s so sad!! I know the meme was supposed to be if US health care is so bad why do British people have messed up teeth. But jokes on us cause at least they’re alive and are not bankrupt… so that’s awkward. The sad truth is I can’t imagine what my life would look like if we lived in a country with affordable healthcare. I’ve needed a root canal for over a year because the copay is $950. My husband was in an accident that affected his back about 10 years ago when we were in our 20’s. The thousands of dollars we spent over the years.. where could we be now? 🥺 I can’t help but feel like my daughter would have had a better life.
Same here! My insurance doesn't cover dental and I had to have a filling done a year or so ago and it also cost me $800! For a FILLING! It took him like 15 minutes or so.
If someone gets made at you calling them cis, call them a homogender. Gets the point across! And call yourself heterogender if you're trans =) Hope you guys use this to your advantage!
@DisPater-xs2pu The logic is that you specify things when it's relevant. And because especially cis het white dudes are constantly obsessed about other people's gender and sexuality, which is none of their business, it often comes up. People could stop obsessing over other people's identity and sexuality. How about that option?
@DisPater-xs2pu And here I thought that the difference between cis and trans women is important. Ok then. All women belong to women's sports. It doesn't matter if they're just at the begining of their transition or if they were in hormones for years. Intersex women? Apparently they can't participate in Olimpics so thank you for being more progressive than them
The term "cis" is BS. I guess we'll have to call dogs "cis dogs" so as not to hurt the feelings of furries, or delusional people pretending to be dogs.
I remember a person misinterpreting something I had said as me saying that all autistic people are trans, then this person said "don't disrespect autistic people calling them trans". So yeah this 100%
14:34 Why are waitlists shorter in the US? Because, like, 50 percent of the country doesn’t get to go to the doctor. 40,000-plus people in the US die JUST BECAUSE THEY COULDN’T GET BASIC HEALTHCARE.
My dad acts like same gender couples kissing, holding hands, hugging is so unnecessarily vulger but doesn't think that way with cis het couples doing the same or more vulger actions in public. He also disliked how a woman once told him that someone nearby was her wife, like that is pushing her lifestyle on him. I told him there was no way he hasn't met a man who acted just like that and he couldn't disagree.
Because it's in the news and social media and people watch the news/social media. They don't want to see it so they complain. Also some people actually do make it their whole personality and they're usually the most outspoken
Anytime someone asks about my sexuality I just ask if they’re hitting on me. When they say no, I ask why it matters if they aren’t trying to have sex with me.
For the first meme, I would be freaked out, not because they are arabic or anything, but it would freak me out in general when there are a bunch of guys behind me laughing at me. I have anxiety. 😭 Why would they laugh at me. What did I do? That's why I don't use public transportation, at least in my car, nobody can laugh at me. (Have to watch the rest tomorrow, I need to sleep.)
I got social anxiety too, but something about the homies in the AI pic just makes me crack up 😂. Like, I know the author was trying to be racist, but outside of that context, these dudes look like a lot of fun to crack jokes with.
The problems I have with people not understanding my asexuality is staggering… As a part of the LGBTQIA+ community I’m happy with who I am … I also identify as Non Binary which makes people really confused … Conservatives are the least understanding of these people and I really don’t get why they can’t let people be happy with who they are … Great video Savvy and as always loving the hair x
The point about British teeth isn't that Brits have free healthcare. It's that Brits frequently like to make jokes about Americans dying of preventable health concerns because our government doesn't care or that our kids are murdered in school shootings. There is a stereotype that the English have bad teeth and so that's the joke there. There is a point and the joke is for Americans.
Astronomy and cislunar space? geography and whatever gets described as "cisalpine"? (works for rivers and other mountain ranges as well, but I think historically the terms would be Rome-centric) I'm sure there's more but they're not coming to mind.
Since you brought rivers, in Spanish we refer to the West Bank as "Cisjordania" ('on this side of the river Jordan'), as opposed to "Transjordania" ('on the other side of the river Jordan'), the former name of "Jordania" (Jordan, the country)
Even if you say a 150 kg muscle mountain who works in construction would beat a lightweight female mma champion: that's why weight classes exist, no way an untrained man in the same weight class as a female champion would ever beat her
500£ for wisdom tooth removal out of pocket?? Here in the USA it’s at least $6,000 where I live, if not more. That’s still so cheap compared to the USA.
£500 is like half of people's monthly income, most people cannot afford that. Obviously it is cheaper than the US but the point is that it's not cheap. Most people have to wait until dental needs are an emergency to be able to afford it. I had to have a tooth removed bc it was causing lots of pain, it would've cost £200-300, but I waited until it was at an emergency level, so that it was £25 instead, I couldn't afford the £200. I can't imagine how it is in the US, but it is still not affordable here.
I paid 200 € for the removal of all four wisdom teeth. Because I had to pay for the anesthesia out of pocket. They usually pump you full of painkillers before starting the operation, and I wanted to get properly knocked out.
@@KallenMalefic true. It’s a really big issue. I didn’t start voting regularly until I turned 21, and a lot of people seem to do the same, if they vote at all. I suppose it’s hard to add your input into a system that doesn’t serve you, despite what you vote for.
@@Wonderoddity At this point it is not even about "being American". People's legit rights to even exist are on the line. The Republican party is a force of evil at this point. We need to vote against them as much as possible.
The deal is that more secular and better educated people don’t commit to a cause with as much fervor as people with a belief system. That’s just how the coding of humans works.
Just know you are appreciated, just by being here, trudging through whatever life has thrown at you. We've all been through our fair share of awful things and I'm so proud of you for making it through, you're a very strong person. It’s going to get better, I promise. Life is going to be okay. You’re going to be okay. Everything will be okay. you made it and I'm proud of you. You got this, keep going
Here in Germany, we have Comedian who fought against a former boxing world champion (Regina Halmich). He did twice. And lost both. And he wasn't even completly untrained or anything.
I hate the racist stuff, just today me and my family were out because my little sister had to go to the doctors, and we had left about a few minutes ago, and there was a homeless guy, specially a darker skinned homeless guy, who had a sign asking for money, and my mom checked for the doors to be locked and rolls up the windows, and she doesn’t do that when there’s white homeless people, so it seemed odd, I asked her about it and she was saying how he was a black homeless man and that she didn’t want anything to happen, I think she thought because he was black that he’d have like a gun or try to attack us for some reason. To add onto that my dad had been making racist comments and claims throughout the day, which made my mood worse since I have Covid and I was already stressed in the cramped car, I feel bad that my parents are like this, but I guess that at least they haven’t said it to any people of color, but it still isn’t okay. I don’t understand some people ;-;
A popular option in my area growing up for free wisdom teeth removal was being part of a study where you had a 50% chance of having no pain medication. I was lucky that my family was far enough below the poverty level that I was given access to the state's children health insurance program
My autistic ass (I'm not making fun of autism, I have autism 💀) sat here for 5 minutes trying to find an H in conservative. There is none, that's the joke 😭😭😭 Edit: I speak Latin pretty well and I can give the exact translations of words. Cis, prep (with Acc) means "on this side of [...]" Trans, prep (with Acc) means "across, over, beyond". I think the trans in transgender means change like 'transfer'.
for some reason it never occured to me until you said it that one can identify as just, queer. not bi or gay or anything. just. queer. which is. brilliant and a much better descriptor for me than trying to say "this one but these caveats-". That meme of andy dropping his toy "i dont want to play with you anymore?" Me, right now, with sexuality labels besides queer.
Teeth are luxury bones. Also, ~$70 for a dentist appointment sounds AMAZING. I just got a bill in the mail for $2,500 for dental work I didn't even have done...
10:00 No matter how much stronger that guy is, he could not fight this woman because he is in a completely different weight class, weighing like twice as much as her.
12:08 I live in Central America and US citizens paying a dentist here for dental care because it was cheaper than in the US was a thing. Paying for a round flight, lodgings and food plus the dentist was deemed cheaper
I'm not sure why the free healthcare meme was included as a conservative meme? As an American, I read the meme as being leftist since it's a common joke that when you tease British people about like harmless things from their culture, they immediately jump to "well at least I don't pay for healthcare/at least I knew I wouldn't get shot in highschool". Of course this isn't All British People but it's common enough that I've seen memes almost identical to that one, with the point being that making harmless jokes about like tea or whatever isn't equivalent to mocking systemic issues, exploitative healthcare, and literal child dead when we Obviously Do Not Want These. I could definitely just be missing some obvious other meaning since I'm coming from this context though!
I think it's mostly a response to reactionaries on the internet being like 'public healthcare = communism and thats bad because I am indoctrinated to believe that so I will spout my ignorance and cope at you without you even asking'. I have a hard time believing that anyone even remotely left-leaning would mock people on the basis of systemic oppression. But I also do see the possibility of this meme being a postironic leftist one so what do I even know lol.
The rebuttal many USians have when it comes to free healthcare is "but in the UK everyone has bad teeth hurdur". I see it all over some pages I'm in. Which is meant as a "we're better" kind of argument. It's not even true btw, people in the US have way more teeth problems than people in the UK.
Im from the US and went to the ER for strep throat that had led to sepsis. I got 2 bags of fluids, some tests, and antibiotics. My insurance paid 4,000 and i was left paying 1,900. On the other hand, my dental insurance is cheap and i spent like $16 for a filling and usually spend $0 for regular dental cleanings. I spent maybe $20 for a cosmetic adjustment to my bite.
Growing up in the 90's, we didn't have the word pansexual. We were bisexuals. Now I've been told that it's because bisexuals won't date trans people and I'm so lost. I will always refer to myself as bi and I'm open to date trans people too if I was single. Some people seem to think bi only means two - man and woman. Bi means more than one. Man, woman, non-binary, trans... I would be open to all.
"The term pansexuality emerged as a term for a sexual identity or sexual orientation in the 1990s, "to describe desires that already existed for many people"." - wikipedia, not the best source but A source. it isnt because bi ppl wont date trans ppl. being bi is more gender oriented (to some!) but pansexual is way less gender oriented (again, to some)
I grew up in the 90s, and I identify as pansexual. For me, it feels like the difference between "I am attracted to all genders" and "My attraction has nothing to do with gender" The latter describes me much more than the former, and 'pansexual' gets that across pretty well. Maybe it helps that I only really came to terms with my queerness somewhere around the late 2000s, when the pansexuality label was becoming more of a thing. I had gay relationships before that point, but justified those as "just for fun". ... But yeah. I call myself "pansexual" because bi just doesn't feel like it accurately conveys the complete irrelevance that sex and gender have in regards to my attractions, lmao.
@@MisterMixxyThis is similar to how I figured out whether I was bi or pan. I had started transitioning at 22 and it brought along a bunch of questions of my sexuality, it took a while to figure out I just like masculine people; whether it be men or women, cis or trans, or non binary people. So I settled on pan since that's the only condition for my initial attraction to someone
Bi means two as far as I'm concerned, or either you can propitiate some source that says otherwise... And still, that isn't entirely the meaning of pansexuality.
its not "bi people wont date trans people and pan do" thats incorrect but some people get confused by (just like "but if you like all genders then that means you must find everyone attractive and cant have non-gender related moral and prefrances right??"). Bi is the attracation to two or more genders, pan means gender blind attraction. so like I can be bi and like just men and nonbinary people, or woman and demigirls and agender people, maybe I like men woman and nonbinary people but I like men more then others, or and combination or even all genders but they still like hit diffrent, then thats bi. but if I gender wasnt a factor and they all register the same then that specifically is pan.
As someone who also got free heart surgery thanks to Medicare, along with many other surgeries I needed, I am horrified that places like America don’t have free healthcare. I feel so sorry for the people who have to sell their houses, or go into lifetime debt to afford lifesaving surgery. It’s awful.
Yeah, the joke about british peoples teeth isnt about us not wanting free healthcare, it's mocking how british people will mock americans for dying of preventable diseases because we cant pay for our healthcare. The sterotype is that british people have bad teeth, so the joke is that they say "imagine not having free heathcare" while having horrible teeth. Also... On the prices, we pay an exorbinant amount for dental too 😭
Kiwi talking about how much a dental surgery costs makes me head spin- 500 pounds being almost 630 usd... That's Bafflingly cheap compared to the US 😭 sure you may not have free dental but it's still so much cheaper-- wisdom teeth removal without insurance generally costs anywhere from $720-4,000 USD... So like- £575-3,185.... Goddamn-
I just paid $5000 for a single tooth implant…😭😭 oh wait, that’s not even the best part!! They forgot to write my prescription for antibiotics, so I got an infection and needed the implant ripped out in office during what was supposed to be a routine check in. 😭😭 so now I have to wait for it to heal, then go through the surgery AGAIN!!!
Conservatives: bisexual means attracted to men and women which is all the people because bi means two and there's two genders and the prefix refers to genders Conservatives: ah yes, pan means all. The prefix refers to EVERY B E I N G. I am very intelligent
I wouldn't even give them that much credit. What they claim to be basic biology is just flawed and outdated information bigots cling to justify hating trans people.
I'm pretty sure the dental meme is pointing out how *some* people from the UK make fun of the fact that Americans don't have free healthcare (something many of us WOULD like.) And at the same time, the people making fun also have to live with the reality of not having free dental care. So they should understand how much that sucks and not poke fun at an objectively stressful situation we're facing. That's how I always interpreted that. Stones and glass houses kind of thing.
"Hah! I owned you about your own sexuality! Because you don't know what it is!" *Sigh* I hate this joke, not because Kiwi was wrong but because I have experienced it before My MHB(Middle half brother) has acted this way, acting like he understands this stuff better than licenced psychologists or licenced psychiatrists, ya know? PEOPLE WHO TRAINED FOR THIS STUFF! And it drives me CRAZY, I am genderfluid and ace, my MHB acted like I can't be ace because it wouldn't let me have a relationship because all romance originates from a sexual desire of attractiveness towards your partner DESPITE THE UTTER BS IN THAT I went on a bit of a rant but this is just to say, most cishet people can be just as bigoted as real bigots
If someone is being "as bigoted as real bigots"... then they're just bigots. But I've also encountered people, both straight and LGBT+, that are just really quite bigoted towards asexual and aromantic people. It's disappointing since you'd think people who've been victims of that sort of thing before would be less likely to perpetuate it, but apparently not 🤨
@@Rime_in_Retrogradeyeah. It’s something I remember was touched on in Maus, the graphic novel about the author’s self insert interviewing his holocaust survivor dad about it. The dad, despite going through the end result of bigoted rhetoric, was still super racist against black people. Discrimination is just a terrible thing that happens. It’s a tragedy, not a teacher. But we can still learn from it if we try, but experiencing bigotry doesn’t automatically free someone from thinking their bigotry is justified.
Conservatives: Liberals are so sensitive! What snowflakes! Also conservatives: A nonbinary person just asked me to use their correct pronouns! I'm being discriminated against!
Ever since I was little, I had been told that the birth rate on Greece (my country) is decreasing but I never really found this a bad thing, since I knew there were many people on earth and thought that less people mean a healthier planet. Still think of that.

So, you are missing context for that first image. As someone that lives in the UK, that isn't meant to be a "joke" as you seem to think. In some counties in this country, our police force allowed people to get away with multiple offences of gang r*pe spanning multiple years because of their ethnic background being pakistani. The only punishment the vast majority of these men got were civil punishments that forced them to applogize, or a jail sentance of less than 3 years for the worst offenders (with some getting the equivelent to 3-6 days per r4pe charge). These organized gangs would explicitly seek white English girls between the ages of 8 to 16 to abduct and 4buse, often yelling "k4fir", which means non-believer. It was a religious and racially motivated attack commited by several unconnected groups with some being as large as 40-120 members. This problem was so wide spread at a point in time that our labour party had to get rid of a few members because they were found to have been involved in these activities as well. You can believe in and belong to any political system you want, but to belittle the experiences of girls as young as 8 (and some even younger still) because you don't want "conservatives" to get a win is deplorable. I assume you didn't know the full context, otherwise I'm assuming you wouldn't have taken that stance.
If I'm not mistaken, the whole thing about Brits having bad teeth stems from the fact that, at least as far as I'm aware, Americans are the only ones who obsess over how perfect their teeth look like. Having bi-annual teeth cleaning sessions was a culture shock to me when I moved to the US.
The dumbest thing about so these not free Healthcare, "the wait lists are so long" arguments is that yeah, they might be long. But you know what's longer? Trying to save up the money to get a knee replacement when you have to pay it all yourself. How long do you think people who can't afford things that cost THOUSANDS of dollars are gonna wait for those procedures? Like what's worse? Having to wait 3 months, or having to wait 13 months, while working double shifts and trying to scrounge every penny so you can afford to get the thing done? Yeah, I'll take the free Healthcare thanks. Seriously. One free Healthcare please. Please?
I usually don't double comment but I gotta say, declining birth rates are a good thing. It means less infants are dying. We don't need to have a ton of kids cuz most of them survive now.
In the US there's also plenty of areas that simply don't have access to a hospital as it's sparsely populated and it's less profitable than putting one in a city. Good old for profit Healthcare.
My daughter just recently found out that men and women have to play on separate sports teams and without even thinking about it said "that's not fair!" So even kids know gender segregation is unjust regardless of gender identity
But then why are sports separated exclusively by sex instead of a different, more definitive measure of individual strength, kind of like how wrestling has different weight classes? Give up? Here, I'll give you a hint: SEXISM
The kind of men who think they can take on pro wrestling/fighting women just because their men, remind me of the guys who think they can take on a bear with no weapons. Like dude no, you have no qualifications here.
The part about not having free healthcare being a nightmare. I had an appendectomy, seeing as not removing a bursting appendix would literally kill me, and for my decision not to die I was rewarded with a bill of $32,000 (approximately 25,700 pounds). I legitimately hate living here.
there isnt REALLY a difference with bi and pan but it is up to the person what they use so its a dick move to be like 'well um actually-'. like there was this whole bs 2014 tumblr discourse about 'well if youre bi then REALLY youre just transphobic' which was. a super wild take lol. or just 'pan means the gender doesnt play a part in the attraction' but then i feel like that gets into ace spectrum territority? idk. just like. let ppl identify how they wanna identify. Like me I identify as nonbinary but not as trans. That makes some people mad apparently idk.
Technically speaking, the difference between bi and pan is supposed to be whether or not gender plays a part in the attraction. Bi people don’t technically have to have a preference, but pan people just aren’t concerned about the gender at all
@@Dr_Mortis_SCP i mean that describes some bi people as well. like im not gonna hassle people about it, but there's really no definition of pan that makes it discrete from bi. every explanation ive read either also applies to some bi people or is accidentally biphobic. biphobic as in, implying that bi people Must care about anatomy, or be concerned about gender, it goes on.
@@gwennorthcutt421 Fair enough. I don’t particularly care what labels someone uses, as long as they aren’t objectively incorrect, I just figured I’d try to clarify
Hearing you talk about how much things cost for healthcare or even uncovered dental care sent me. Even covered, I know people who’ve had to cover out of pocket costs for dental work that starts at $2,000 😂 God, the US is eating itself alive.
Yeah, dentistry in the USA is expensive. I got 2 wisdom teeth out for about $1,500 us and pay $30/month for just yearly check ups that doesn't include procedures. It's so expensive and Healthcare is another wild ride. Low income help is avalible but it's almost impossible to find a doctor who will take patients, so often times you end up just paying for it completely.
Something that’s brought me a lot of peace lately is “It’s not a competition” it used to piss me off seeing conservatives view these talking points like it’s something to…win? Like…what happens when someone wins? Is there a prize? Like is it just shit grinning? Is that it?
The one thing I'd add about 'declining birth rates' is that there are individual countries (like Japan) that may face difficulties in the future due to the huge imbalance of retired people to working people. But, there are so many factors around this topic - childcare options, women being accepted in the workforce, immigration, etc. etc. (For context, I'm from the US but studied Japan in university and lived there for 8~9 years. So, I definitely don't know everything around it, but I am aware of this, though, haven't looked into how things have changed in the last 5 or so years.)
5:36 My boy Mario would never say some shit like this how dare they (P.s. I think I might be dyslexic ‘cause I thought your channel name was ‘The Queen Kiwi’ and I was just sitting here like “seems about right”)
I live in the US, and our dental care for a family of 4 is about $35 a month whether we go to the dentist or not, 6 month cleanings are a $25 co-pay each, fillings are about $180 after our insurance, which is pretty good. I had to get a root canal and crown and after insurance it was a little over $600. It's stupidly expensive, and we have good insurance for the area.
We do for under 18s, but yeah. The reason our teeth are more crooked is because it's not normal here to get corrective surgeries or braces unless there's actually something wrong.
Lol you came up on my recommended and this is my first time watching or hearing of you channel and I screamed when I saw the skzoos. I was like "she's a stay???!!" I immediately subscribed 😂
If anyone is curious about American dental care, I have a friend in Huston that had a tooth shatter and needed surgery to fix that. Cost her $15,000 (I think).
Bi - attraction to genders like and unlike your own, where attraction can vary by gender for each person. They may even not be attracted to some genders Pan - gender isn't somethimg that is even thought of being connected to attraction and there is no variation Omni - attraction to all genders, but varies by gender for each person A helpful guide I wrote =]
It _is_ indeed helpful. I'd like to add that this is generally correct, but there also can be overlap, like with everything in life. How life presents itself isn't bound to labels or definitions. Like how red is definitely not blue and blue is definitely not red, and when you throw in purple you'll get a long way communicating a lot of useful things using generalities but there will be a heck of a lot of overlap and exceptions. I'm saying this because one of the problems we have is that many people, especially conservatives around the world, want people to adhere to generalised or outdated definitions that many people just can't fit in. It's handy to have labels, but when talking to a person, it's more important to listen and try and understand first and then potentially agree on a label for something if that helps speed up the conversation or make it easier to communicate. There are men and women and generally one has a set of testicles and a penis and the other has ovaries and a vulva. But when talking to a person, they don't have to fit either definition, while they can still fit either category, or both or none, and those categories still exist with those definitions, and a definition might apply without the label being fitting or vice versa, the label might apply without the definition being applicable. I've had a conversation about drums and percussion and classical and acoustic guitars and some people use definitions where drums aren't percussion and classical guitars aren't acoustic guitars, and I don't really care because I'll make percussion and melodies out of everything and as long as the sound isn't created by something electrical it's acoustic to me, including electrical circuits if I use the sparks as notes 🤣And people can label and define it every which way they want, but it's just a waste of time to me and they're better off just naming the instruments/objects by general names, like guitar, drum, box, table, forehead, dickhead, etc. :p Okay, maybe not drum with your dickhead, at least not without consent, but you could :p
@@SpineBones Well, being from one of those groups, I think you did a great job summarising. I very much recognise myself exactly in the definition of bi. I'm very grateful for it. I very much like the wording you used for bi attraction: to genders like and unlike your own. That's hands down the best description I've ever heard. Most people would just say: attraction to both men and women, and then I'm like, well... eh... not exactly? 🤣 I think I've heard the wording before, but I completely forgot, it's not like it comes up that often, even if people who are obsessed with other people's sexuality and gender keep bringing it up while whining we somehow shove the fact of diversity existing down their throats.

We’re in the middle of a YEAR wait to see a migraine specialist for my husband, and we have pretty great insurance & live in a top-10 USA metroplex.
Plus, if the med you need to keep alive in the US has a co-pay of 300.00... US It doesn't matter because your going to die or end up in the hospital where you can easily make a bill of 50,000 US plus....US medical works great for people with great jobs and awesome health insurance...It sucks for the rest...
British conservatives have completely destroyed their countries healthcare system and have made it almost as dysfunctional as the US
I'd like to see the Tories argue that our Healthcare system is better when they break their leg here and get fined hundreds to thousands for simply being carted away by the ambulance.
They clearly have never heard the stories about people in U.S dying in hospital waiting rooms. I can still remember the one for sure. I was 18 and it was shortly before my 19th birthday in 2007. And when I double checked the year just now, there are still recent stories of people dying in waiting rooms.

Pan = everything of a kind
Sexual = sex

The point about British teeth isn't that Brits have free healthcare. It's that Brits frequently like to make jokes about Americans dying of preventable health concerns because our government doesn't care or that our kids are murdered in school shootings. £500 is like half of people's monthly income, most people cannot afford that. Obviously it is cheaper than the US but the point is that it's not cheap.
That's what I was thinking
5:35 I can't believe they would use Mario for this meme smh he would NEVER

For me, it feels like the difference between "I am attracted to all genders" and "My attraction has nothing to do with gender"
The latter describes me much more than the former, and 'pansexual' gets that across pretty well.

Yeah, the joke about british peoples teeth isnt about us not wanting free healthcare, it's mocking how british people will mock americans for dying of preventable diseases because we cant pay for our healthcare.

Please?

The part about not having free healthcare being a nightmare. I had an appendectomy, seeing as not removing a bursting appendix would literally kill me, and for my decision not to die I was rewarded with a bill of $32,000 (approximately 25,700 pounds).
I legitimately hate living here.
£500 for private is so cheap compared to here. The cheaper dentist here in down quoted me like $2000 for a tooth removal
there isnt REALLY a difference with bi and pan but it is up to the person what they use so its a dick move to be like 'well um actually-'. like there was this whole bs 2014 tumblr discourse about 'well if youre bi then REALLY youre just transphobic' which was. a super wild take lol. or just 'pan means the gender doesnt play a part in the attraction' but then i feel like that gets into ace spectrum territority? idk. just like. let ppl identify how they wanna identify.

Girl $500 for dental surgery WOULD BE BASICALLY FREE here lmao. Even if you have insurance the copay is still higher for wisdom teethm
Absolutely love this video's title

The one thing I'd add about 'declining birth rates' is that there are individual countries (like Japan) that may face difficulties in the future due to the huge imbalance of retired people to working people. But, there are so many factors around this topic - childcare options, women being accepted in the workforce, immigration, etc. etc. (For context, I'm from the US but studied Japan in university and lived there for 8~9 years. So, I definitely don't know everything around it, but I am aware of this, though, haven't looked into how things have changed in the last 5 or so years.)
Lol any dentistry in the states is 1.5k even with healthcare
You still pay less out of pocket for dental care than we do with insurance over here 😭

Bi - attraction to genders like and unlike your own, where attraction can vary by gender for each person. They may even not be attracted to some genders
Pan - gender isn't somethimg that is even thought of being connected to attraction and there is no variation
Omni - attraction to all genders, but varies by gender for each person
A helpful guide I wrote =]
@@stylis666 I found these definitions by talking to a bunch of people from each group to get the general idea
I think I've heard the wording before, but I completely forgot, it's not like it comes up that often, even if people who are obsessed with other people's sexuality and gender keep bringing it up while whining we somehow shove the fact of diversity existing down their throats.
@@stylis666 I'm glad you like it!
