This was perfect man, thanks for posting! I just installed new kingpins but the spindle feels pretty tight. How tight should the spindle be? I greased them and it was better but I'm honestly not sure what to compare it to.
The shop manual says the bushing should be reamed to .005-.012” larger than the diameter of the pin. With grease, that should let the spindle move pretty easily.
@@cronedentside74 thanks! I can move it by hand but it's definitely got some pressure. I had a shop install and ream the bushings so I'll see if it's something I did before calling them back.
If you put the king pins in the freezer and get them cold it will help to get them in
