I’m going through alot is me emotionally so I might be depressed or overly anxious. I got a lot going on is family so usually it’s crazy on families end and I am waiting for the volcano and whatever comes out of it to settle.

The last time I told a man I had a lot going on was May 2022. My mom died in March, my grandpa died in April, my sister had a baby in April so I left the state for days to help her, I graduated from grad school in May, I had 2 full time jobs and I was behind on all my bills and I didn’t want to bring anyone into my mess. Sometimes we just have a lot going on.

It's even more annoying because I make sure I have enough water too 😂😂.

I remember reading a YA novel where that was a common thing that people noted when others became upset, a reflexive "you're upset? have some water" and it took the main character coming out of cryogenic sleep to note that actually wasn't A Thing in her time? What's that about? And that's how the people discovered the habit became a cultural thing cuz their government is drugging the water to keep them mildly sedated at all times.

The answer to this for me was due to depression/anxiety or just flat out not wanting to be bothered.

they dont, londoners mostly or the younger generation does. london and the areas/towns surrounding it is a bit of it's own country, the people there are the ones you'll find saying it like that but older generation and people outside of the london area tend to actually enunciate it
depends where you live and your personal preference really. I used to say it too. Its weird because saying it like that feels both natural and unnatural. I eventually forced myself to pronounce the 't' because it sounds less ugly like that.

It is exactly what it is. I kid you not last year I told this dude that a relationship would not be possible for me because I have too much on my plate (I’m taking care of my pets, I help out with my grandma, I’m also dealing with heaps of school work, my work hours are way too long to make ends meet). He agreed and said that he would make sure that it would be mutually beneficial for both of us. It was not. He went on to be inconsistent, call me at odd hours, did not do anything for Valentine’s, made the conversations sexual despite me telling him that it was too early for all that and accused me of playing games when I refused to give him nudes or phone sex. Happy to say I blocked him and we are mutually ignoring each other.

You know what's sad, how true all this is, cuz as someone who was raised by a single mother with two sisters, I became the person they vented to, which ultimately made me into a good listener and thus I ended up acquiring alot more female friends than male.
So as we would have these hours long conversations and I would also give my own honest opinions from a male point of view, they all eventually trusted me to the point where their telling me the most inner details of their romantic lives and being even more honest with me than they were with themselves.
So with All that said I can honestly tell you that most adult single women are still hung up over someone, and they can date you for years just because you treat them well without developing any real feelings for you. Plus women are creatures that mainly focus on self preservation, so yes they will keep other guys as back ups while in a relationship with you, and yes most women will leave a man that treats them well for someone they never truly got over.
