I was looking forward to drive with you on track since I saw your name on the driver's list, but didn't want to drive more laps on the car as I am satisfied with the session and parked my car at around 5:30. The heat was brutal on that session. Looking forward of what's more to come on the RX-8!

If I remember it right it was when I was pitting in from a run because when you mentioned the albino rear lights I remember seeing something like so. Hopefully we'll meet on track someday! That will be fun and interesting to see eheh. And yes, the heat was indeed brutal! If it can dehydrate us humans, can't imagine how hard it was on our cars. Cheers!
It's a shame I couldn't spend a full lap tailing you or vice versa due to issues stated in the video. Definitely going to address any issues and improve the car even more so I can run on track for a longer period consistently. To more group track days!

I definitely need a high rev capability and also spare parts not so hard to find. Note that this car will be track use only and not a daily driver. Budget under 100k maybe? The cheaper the better! Tq
Glad you enjoyed it! With a budget of RM100k solely for a track car, there are a bunch of good options you can go for! Let's sort it by drivetrains. FWD: - Honestly, any of the older Honda will do. - Look into the EK9 / EG6 family if you are into hatchbacks. - The aftermarket support for Honda and their various engines is VERY good here in Malaysia. - With 100k to spend, you can build a bulletproof car that can rev high with proper suspension setup to go with it. RWD: - You can secure something in the Toyota or Corolla family that shares the same DNA as the AE86. - Most of them will have a 4AGE engine which will run well. - Aftermarket support is plenty but price may vary. - If you're feeling risky, some of the older BMWs can be restored and turned into a track car with your budget. AWD: - At your price point, the best I can suggest is any of the AWD Subaru. - There is some aftermarket support but price may be high. - Might not be the fastest AWD out there unless you're ready to dump even more cash into it. Hopefully you found my insight helpful! This is more towards my personal preference and trying to be reasonable with the budget you shared. If you were to ask me (and I have a budget of RM1 million), I'd just build a 4-rotor RX-7 hahah!

Stock temp gauge memang tak accurate sebab dia mula bergerak selepas dah hit threshold. Waktu ni saya check guna third party app di phone sahaja tapi ada masalah connection (kadang detect, kadang tidak). Ideally untuk dapatkan aftermarket gauge. Buat masa ni, saya saving untuk upgrade cooling system dulu baru beli gauge. Bukan apa, kalau sekadar boleh monitor tapi problem temperature naik masih ada - tak berapa beneficial juga kan?
