- It was my first experience with a factory dlg. I felt that this glider has not got any drag and it has a very good performance.

Thank you Carl! Yeah, it's crazy how exciting it is to start flying a new glider. I was very happy, now I can sense what this hobby should be about... ;) Yes, this rainy, calm weather came in handy for a little test. Then the sunnier and windier times will come...
an awesome start - I think you hit the nail on the head (low drag) regarding the factory ships!
Thank you Phil! Yes, it's unbelievable how "easy" it is to start with such a factory DLG. It has no air resistance. I hope I don't do anything with it in the future that would spoil this perfect shape. Now that I think about it, wow, what could your BAMF DLGs be like.

It is about 140g, but I have to use some wiegt in the tails to be balanced. My battery is too heavy in the nose.

I'm very much interested in learning glider flight dynamics. I find it very satisfying.
Yes, it is a very interesting theme. We can do trimming just calm weather. I just trimmed this glider so I do not use any plus weight in the nose or the tails. It can glide an epic way. I am just waiting for a suitable weather for flying. ;)

Thank You for your words! It was a great maiden, I think. I have to add some trimming after the tests. We will see how it can catch thermals on a cloudy and sunny day.

You could say, watching your flights has re-inspired me! Your a really smooth flyer and I'm learning from your videos.
I'm trying to learn to fly (smoothly) and enjoy building them too! I'm working on a REF 1m at the moment with a Synergyll wing.
Hungarian is not my native language, but I can understand it by listening to it and I've eaten enough csirkepaprika for a village...lol

Now I'm thinking in terms of construction, seeing the construction of this Mini Dart 2, that it should be solved how the plane of the wing matches the fuselage, so that a removable wing can always be installed in exactly the same way. 100% accuracy is very important here. How do you attach the wing? I'm thinking about buying a 3D printer to make a POD and pilon for tails...What do you think about it?

Incredible, the first test glide says it all 🤩 And this is only the glass layup? I started some practicing with a low budget model, but this looks like a whole different level. Eventually something like this will be in my hands too, I'm pretty sure already. 🤩😄

Hi, I am glad to hear that! I choose the Radiomaster TX16s controller with OPENTX protocol and an FS2A 4ch RX with 1s LiPo.
Great to see this as I'm about to buy this glider, I'm new to discus launch and use opentx like you do, can you explain your launch mode setup on your radio and how you do the launch sequence please? Also which servos are you using in this glider. Thank you
Thank you for your comment! In this model, I installed 4 EMAX ES9051 servos according to the description after minor modifications. I read in forums how to reduce the height of the servo if it does not fit in the nose part. I removed the plastic cover and wrapped the servo housing with insulating tape to prevent dust from entering. I wrote a self-made program for the startup mode and flight modes, many people do this differently. For me, the operating principle is that in the launch preset (launch mode) position, the flaps extend slightly downwards, the rudder slightly to the right (I throw the plane with my right hand), and the horizontal tail extends slightly upwards. As soon as I toss the glider, I almost immediately release the launch preset button (this is a rocker switch that I installed on the TX16S from the right side to the left side), then the "zoom mode" comes into effect approx. for 3 seconds, (all tails return to the plane, the flaps can be slightly higher than the center position. This lasts until the plane reaches the top point.

Hi, I don't know what you meant? What remote control do you have? It is difficult to explain the settings of each flight mode and the launch mode on the remote control, but there is a description that you can follow to set it yourself.

For example what means launch mode? Both ailerons a little bit down as in case of flaps? But I will try to find those answers in your links. Thanks again.
@@Mr.Laidukas Yes, but after launch mode you can set a zoom mode immediately with a time switch. So you activate launch mode, then you toss away the glider and then you release the launch mode switch and then a timer will automatically start approx. for 2-3 seconds, which allows the plane to fly high with the least air resistance by lowering all the wings. Good luck for the first flights!
Wow 1m dlg have come a long way in the 4-5 years I've been out of the loop. Is this one fiberglass?
Yes, it is a glider with fiberglass covered wings and tails, and fuse. In the wings there are carbon strips for the strength.
Does the emax servo you use support the 1s battery?
Yes, they support the 1s battery.

After watching your videos it pushed me to build mine. I posted my videos on RUclips aswell my setup and first glides. I dont have my launch peg in yet so just a few hand throws. Flies so good and as you said yourself NO DRAG!!! Thanks for the inspiration @goldenfish77
