Every day I'm buying materials and making things I'll need to complete the vacuum bagging process. So far the wings and tail feathers are ready to glass, but I'm waiting on delivery of carbon fiber supplies, etc. Today, I made a hot box and a little sponge dauber tool. I had a hot box that is the wrong size for wings, but it had the thermostat and light bulb I need for this hot box. Thanks so much for all of your help in the form of your videos. I love your attention to detail in your methods of construction. Peace!
@@amonus-air2160 There are plenty of variations for POD too, right? I like PET pods, I just attach the two half pieces (lengthwise) to each other with packing tape. Notched at the back, bending the parts so that the tip fits the arrow at a point. I use soldering iron to make two holes on the top for the wing connection, and two on the side if there is an aileron. I wish you good luck for your work with own POD!
Thanks for sharing! You've rekindled my desire to start building n flying again after a 20-25 yr break, so TY!!! By chance, can you give me the specific file or possibly airfoil type so I could search online for them......for the tail group!?!? Found the wing planform and templates but not for the tail group....TY!
Thank you for the kind words. Airfoil used in the tail group are as follows: HT12 chord=93mm for rudder. HT12 chord= 73mm for the stab. Set my hinge line @ 60% of chord from the L.E.. Airfoil configurator @ airfoiltools.com Cheers 😎👍
sure! At launch, the dlg will climb at a steep angle. Once it reaches it's peak, you want it to kick it's tail up to achieve a level attitude. This "kick" needs maximum down elevator. Hence the mounting on the bottom. :)
Really enjoyed this model and decided to build one. Il try to cnc cut the the wing. I saw the screenshot from fusion360 in the wing blueprint file, could you send me the full wing 3d model if have it? Thank you so much.
happy you're enjoying the build. Currently, I'm building a CNC to do exactly what you mentioned. I don't have it modeled yet, so can't offer you an .stl file. Cheers 😎👍
the epoxy you see in the small plastic squeeze bottles is Bob Smith Industries 15 Minutes Mid Cure Epoxy . You can pick it through Amazon, hobby stores...ect.

thank you for the kind words my friend.
I'm just wrapping up another video on control linkages I hope you like :)
Really enjoying this build series. You are a true craftsman
Thank you for the kind words and glad you are enjoying 😎👍
Thanks for this great series, it's inspiring me to give a scratch build a try some day.
glad your enjoying. Hope you do build one, it's satisfying 😎
Realizzazioni sempre fantastiche!!!!
Complimenti!

grazie per le gentili parole 😎👍
Nice, seeing progress at last! Good job, almost ready to fly.
thank you. At this rate, this thing will grow feathers and fly by itself...lol 😎👍
I think that I have to learn the patience from you! Bravo! Ecxellent work! That glider won't has got any drag...
thanks for the kind words my friend.
Hopefully, little drag as possible. 😎
the back half of the pod will be a challenge.

@goldenfish77 thanks for the good luck wishes. I'll be designing it in a CAD program and 3d printing it with lightweight PLA .
@@amonus-air2160 Wow, it will be nice job! I also desire this technique more and more.
훌륭한 직장 친구님, 이 프로젝트에 대한 향후 동영상을 계속 지켜보겠습니다. 인사말!
친절한 말 감사합니다! 즐거운 밴프 여행 되시기 바랍니다.
Good job👉🤝🤝
thank you

Could you please tell me the reason the horizontal stabilizer is attached under the boom?
sure!

Got it. Thank you!
What was the website to get build plans?
there is no plans...it's a scratch build. All the information I've gathered is through forums and personal experience.

I already found the model on the page in the description of your other video. Thanks 🙏

Since you are in Canada, I would like to know where you get your carbon from please? 😁 Thanks and great looking bird 🤌🏼👌🏼
I mostly get it from China via Aliexpress. Thanks for the question.
@@amonus-air2160 ah ok, I do the same but it's hit or miss with quality and packaging
