    Like the paint job! Simple, light, and looks to be highly visible.
    Any chance for a video showing how you set the incidence between the wing & the horizontal? 👍

    • @afilos
      @afilos  Год назад

      Thanks, I like it too. the flat bottom surface of the wing is parallel to the top surface of the boom, simple. If it needs adjustment you can always add a washer between the wing and the nuts of the boom either the front or the back nut.

      Yes, it's nice, a bit more trouble compared to the plain arrow shaft, but looks good. I am watching you closely by the way and waiting to see how your 1m will come out, looking good so far!

    Hi!!! Between the Azurreich and this one, it would be great to make a comparison!
    What profile did you use? Any aerodinamic analysis or just by feeling?

    • @afilos
      @afilos  Год назад +1

      I don't think these two can compare but I can give it a go. I used the ag03 to ag11 airfoil, flat bottom wing so this can be a good comparison to my other 1m RE planes that I usually fly.

    Great! Could you tell me how much epoxy do you prepare for each wing? I tried to do them twice and (finally) discovered that the problem that they didn't turn out well is that the amount of epoxy was very little and it didn't completely cover the wing, partly it was covered and in others there was very little, not leaving a film perfect to cover them (little epoxy) and I think if I add too much it will end up coming out of the ends

    • @afilos
      @afilos  Год назад +1

      I can really tell how much, but if you try to do a light layup, the wing normally comes out with tiny pin holes, which is fine. If the epoxy comes out of the ends, its no problem, since you will trim and sand it back to where you want it to be. Ideally you should end up using approximately about the same weight as your cloth weight or even a bit less. If you end up with dry spots, just redo the vacuum adding epoxy only on the dry spots.

    • @ec18c
      @ec18c Год назад +1

      In my 1m apogee-ish, I used about 50g of epoxy for the whole wing with some CF tow and 25g/m2 fiberglass. Total weight about 50g.

      150g for a 1.5m is way to light to be strong to withstand a strong launch.

      @@afilos the wing is built from balsa and carbon tubing. I can send you vector files for cutting and assembly photos by mail. The wing assembly weighs 80 grams with the servos.
