    I would like to learn directly from you.

    This is the best DLG launching video I've ever seen, regardless of the level of instruction. It's pure art. Beautiful!

    This is an art form. You have the frame of a featherweight boxer and your throwing height is amazing. I'm throwing very soft for now as a newbie at 20m. Thank you for your tips on using rudder and snap flaps. My first day out ever, my Stobel V3 I found a monster thermal that took me to the moon (700ft?). I let the glider go where it wanted to as you suggested and It starting rising fast. I had to bail out when it got so small I couldn't see it. Flight time was 23 min including 2 thermals in the same flight. I feel like this is like learning a golf swing. When I try to 'kill' it, my throws are bad.

      ifly65 Nice flight! Dont worry launch height Will come with practice but dont go full power until you have the good technique , you can hurt yourself or brake the glider.

    Very helpful. Great job! The overhead shots are nice. Did you do these shots with your own drone?

    At the point of release, (top view) seems the glider is a bit side ways. is that normal??

    • @pierremeunier
      @pierremeunier  3 года назад +1

      yes , but it's quickly compensated by the rudder , it's called snacking , more modern glider like the NRJ have way less snacking

    • @Wilhuff_T
      @Wilhuff_T 3 года назад

      Waiting on the Libelle to arrive. I understand the glider is not premium but at least will get me started.
      (snacking) put that one one my glider vocabulary .
      Your videos are well presented and plenty of information . 👍

    Pierre, Would you please comment on the number of steps you take during launch? I ask because you appear to take twice as many steps in the overhead shots as you do during your tutorial. Thanks, RobertR

      hello , I do usualy 2 more steps to get more speed at the begining that's it , the technique is the same ;)

    Hi Pierre, thanks for posting. What are your average heights you throw?

    • @pierremeunier
      @pierremeunier  4 года назад +1

      hello , Right now with NRJ I am arround 75 m average

    • @NickSmith-hv9zi
      @NickSmith-hv9zi 4 года назад

      @@pierremeunier Do you think the aileron gap seals help achieve higher throws? I am throwing pretty hard but my average is only 55. Falcon at 210g no balast.

    • @kirkglundal4289
      @kirkglundal4289 2 года назад

      @@NickSmith-hv9zi 210g Falcon is light. My light Falcon 202g I throw maybe 10m less than my Standard 227g or Heavy 245g. I think 55m is pretty good considering it is light but I'm not practiced enough to say for sure. I would be interested to know if you have tried gap seals on your Falcon to good effect.

      @@kirkglundal4289 Hi Kirk, i have not. I don't believe the gap seals would do a thing. A friend of mine has a bamf he installed seal gaps but saw no difference. About the weight, it is a tossup depending on conditions. I would take a lower altitude toss but have a very light falcon any day as suppose to 45g heaver with 10-15m higher that is if conditions are very calm.

    thanks for posting. here are some thoughts. adding some NARRATION, instead of obnoxious music, would have been a REALLY Good idea. maybe in v3, eh. at 5:53, your launch technique is probably a fairly typical example. your typical healthy shoulder joint may Not remain so. in my 30's, i developed tendenitis, the equivalent of tennis elbow, as a result of throwing a LOT of frisbee, when i was younger. cheers

      David Davids hello . Yes I was thinking about it but as I sayed slomo talk by themself. I never force enough my launch To be injured by it . It only make me some workout
