    Nice work lots of great detail. I have been making shorts with LEGO sets (6fps), but nothing as elaborate as you have been doing. I am working on moving my studio around and was thinking about investing in Dragonframe to allow to bump up the animated section to 15-24fps and make the workflow easier. At this time I'm only using Imaging Edge for my Sony ZV-1 for remote control. How do you deal with focus and depth of field? I think I have been using wrong depth of field for what I am doing which is making frame by frame focus a little wonky.

      1. Whether I do more LOTR is inversely correlated to how well my freelance career is going. If my freelance career is going well, I don't have time to make many/any videos just for fun. At this moment, it's going great! But sadly that means no LOTR plans in the near future. 2. 24fps

Even though RUclips is a private site and you can choose to show the number of dislikes, it’s one of the biggest platforms for media and RUclips needs to know that it’s content creators are in favor of letting their audience speak for themselves.

    • @BrotherhoodWorkshop
      @BrotherhoodWorkshop  2 года назад

      They definitely do...it's such a boring topic to talk about in a BTS....but I'll keep this in mind for the future. One tip is to use masking and different layers to tackle different areas. For instance, I have a base layer where I key out all the background crap, even if it means some of the areas with reflections get keyed out too. Then, I duplicate my layer, mask just around the reflected area, and make a very specific chroma key for that tiny area, so I can be much more precise and not have to worry about the rest of the frame. Hope that makes sense?

      A lot of the time it's just "feeling it out", and putting myself in the head space of each character as I'm animating. At each moment I think for each character that they are wanting to kill each other, and based on their positioning in relation to each other, what would be the best way to try to do that and/or keep yourself alive.
