i'm pretty sure the rose syrup drink you tried is called Bandung:) It's rose syrup with condensed/evaporated milk. Sometimes different stalls may add grass jelly or different kind of toppings inside too. If i'm not wrong it's very popular in Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore:) I'm from Singapore myself and i love this drink.

In KL there are so many types of nasi lemak. The one you eat is ordinary packed nasi lemak. We have Nasi Lemak served on a plate with add-on of side dishes such as Ayam Goreng, Sambal sotong, sambal paru, etc. with several types of Sambals. Some sambals are spicy, sweet, or savory. You need to explore more Nasi Lemak in KL. There is a British guy he so addicted to Nasi Lemak; he buys a flight ticket immediately from London to KL just to eat nasi lemak.

This is literally the most traditional Nasi lemak by the way. There are some with fried chicken or otah but are additional variants. Also, waiting for Dale to notice it’s just chilli and not some sauce HAHA. You don’t have to eat all of the chilli if it’s spicy
In Indonesia, Ayam Penyet is fried chicken that is pressed until it crumbles slightly. And there are fresh vegetables. "Lalapan" we call it. (cucumber, basil, cabbage) as well as chili sauce and soup without meat
