The resort had a fancy kaiseki cuisine restaurant which I tried to go to the second evening. When I got there, the staff rejected me and told me I wasn’t allowed to eat there. I even tried to confirm the reason but it wasn’t clear. I was pretty upset because the place was not very foreigner friendly. Anyway I found out later that you have to reserve with reception a day ahead of time. That would’ve been useful to know. In the end I got in the next day and it was an interesting experience.
