Trying to work out best settings with Vegas Pro 21. Config is as follows. Working on 4K Video pc does not appear to use GPU ? Win 11 Pro, Gigabyte Z390 UD i7-8700 3.2Ghz 6 Cores, Nvidia GeForce GTX 108Ti, RAM 64GB 2133mhz - only way to get decent viewing when editing to convert 4K to 1080?
Hi Josh. Can you make a short tutorial on s_luna? I have used it before, but now I'm having a hard time tracking the moon into the sky. I am missing something, probably something simple.
cool u have a 3060 RTX? I got a 2070 super in 2020 almost 4 years ago.... If I'v the money will upgrade my entire setup on PC Specialist custom pc, 4090 RTX, of course the set up I want now costs £4600, I don't need it yet as its too early for 8k, however Gopro will probobly go to 8k this september, so might upgrade in a year and half, in mean time the 5.3k 8:7 on Go Pro crashes very easy on my vegas pro 21, and actually need to color correct and rerender all footage to 5.3k 4:3 as its 30% less pixels as 8:7 and hardly ever crashes What I do mostly is film myself street performing 2/3 hours a day for weeks every summer, then edit 20 hours of 5.3k footage, its just about o.k, altho I honestly think anything higher than 4k for the 2070 RTX super will lag and crash for video editing
@@ScrapyardFilms People want to see the actual playback, period. They don't want approximations in a video that is to demonstrate functionality. Vegas sucks at playback, so why wouldn't you dance around that? Makes sense. Speaking as a user myself.
I agree, I'd like to see actual playback and whether frames are dropped or not (and it's okay to drop back preview quality if it plays better with a lower quality). Also for HEVC is enabling legacy best for performance with Intel ARC? I doubt it.
V21 is the fastest/ smoothest version so far. No matter what PC you are using its going to be faster than any previous version. You can of course do your own tests and post a link here.
@@fx-studionah specs matter a lot I use 16 it works the best compared to rest of the versions ahead.19 was stable but yeah specs make a lot of difference
@@ScrapyardFilms No. Scrubbing requires more cpu or gpu power than playback. Your scrubbing tests at different preview qualities are fine. It's a great cpu and I would prefer RTX cards.
Thanks for the walk thru with the Preferences!
Are you sure it is a730m? I own one of them and it is equipped with a770m ,I am pretty sure that's the only gpu those were sold with.
Greatest into!
Hey are you all right? Haven't seen you for a long time. Is your Patreon still active?

Thanks! Family is doing great! My son is about to be 3 years old! It's crazy! How about yourself?
Scrapyard Films, About changing track colours in Vegas, I don't see the preferences link.

How loud does Nuc 12 get while editing?

Did your Vegas Pro peeps tell you to not show any actual playback?
Playback is almost equal to scrubbing so you can estimate it that way.

This video is almost useless per your lack of any realtime playback.
