    I just watched that in a bit of fast forward and that was like the sexiest tear down ever. All I did was replace the print head to try to get it to work and I already lost a screw, and I still can't get any color to print. I'm not going to tear it down any more, I'll lose half the parts, LOL. Such a shame, this has been a great printer for about 2 years.

    Thank you for such detail video. Just wondering if you can give some suggestions for troubleshooting for no power issue? WF3640, after a power surge, the printer won't turn- no, screen, power button won't lit up..tried different outlet, power cord and replacing with an new power supply, none of all make difference. I was hoping there is a fuse on main board, however, not sure I saw one. Hope you can share some directions. Thank you so much GT

    Can you advise me where to look. I have been asked to see what I can do with a 3620 Printer. Her husband had a go at it first. Now on Power on it says 'Please close the scanner lid' or something similar. Her husband removed a small switch from somewhere, and I can't find where, but I suspect it has to do with this error message. Where would I find the scanner detect switch? As an extra, I found a screw floating around in the carriage well, and the two deep holes in the top front do not have screws in! Thanks for any advice. This is a good video, but I hoped that you photographed every step as you went so that you could put it back together again.

    So if that ink catching pad the grey one somehow wrapped around the rollers u see the paper come out. I have to take it apart just to clean the rollers? I took most piece I got with a long tweezer but it's saying error and the rollers got tight. :( That isss alot to do.

    • @303electronics
      @303electronics  3 года назад +1

      Hi. No, you do not need to take a printer apart. Usually if you can get paper pieces out if the printer with the help of tools like tweezers, you can get it to work. Try shining some light into the paper path and make sure you got it all. You may also remove back duplexes and check it too. It just pulls out.

    Hi, do you know what to do with the printhead, when putting the printer on it goes to left and the to right and stops, it’s not locking and there is a hard bang going to the left...

    • @303electronics
      @303electronics  4 года назад

      You may have a dirty or ripped timing strip. Most likely ripped. It is a thin film strip about quarter of an inch in width and is supposed to attach from one side to the other. You can fix it by attaching tape to the damaged end of the strip and attach it back to the hooks. You may need to remove side panels to get access.

    • @rivelinodoerahman9492
      @rivelinodoerahman9492 4 года назад

      Aaah okay, well cleaned the strip and it works, but not very well now it will not bump to the left and right, but when I want to print it falls out 🙈 it’s by the way a Epson wf-7620, why does it falls out when I run (any) print (program)? 😢

    What causes the paper to only come about 1 inch past the rollers? basically almost exactly where the print heads would contact the paper

    • @303electronics
      @303electronics  4 года назад

      Check the rear duplex unit. It is removed by pressing the tabs on the back together. On one side of the duplex unit you will see gears. One may have popped out. If so, push it in. When spinning one gear by hand, all 3 should also spin. Please let me know if that was the issue. Another thing can be is that there is something jammed or a piece of some object or paper in the area where the duplexes is. Since you have duplexes off, shine some light in the back of the printer and look for one of these: a piece of paper(can be tiny), a roller which is misplaced, or if there are rubber rollers, clean then with an rubbing alcohol or window cleaner solution. I hope this helps you.
