    You took out the print head but didn't show it . It would have been nice for some people to see it upclose. Great job!!!!

      I apologize for that. Last week I posted a printer dismantling video for newer model WF-3720, which has the similar printhead. Link to that video below. Printhead removal part is at minute 9:00 mark.

    There were several steps that you just made happen, without showing in detail. Taking the cover off to access the print head is fairly simple, and could have been shown. The controller board has some tabs that could be depressed through holes, which allows the board to come out quite easily. The print head does not "slam right in there". There are some alignment pins that need to be aligned to the print head.

      I appreciate you pointing this out for me. I will make sure to be more detailed in my future videos. Have a great weekend!

    Do not remove the Cartridge CHIP Board how he did, you may break it. There is a hole is hidden behind the white plastic channel on the left side . Use a L shaped pick tool to press the clip in the hole. You can bend a little the white channel to expose the hole.

    Thanks for this, but my printer still won't print, so I guess the print head wasn't the problem.. I took out the print head, cleaned and dried it, and put everything back together the next day. I still had the same problem as before, only now instead of patchy printing, it won't print at all. I don't know if it's because I broke something or what, but I think it's time for a new printer anyway.

    How do you clean the actual print heads once they are out? I have run cleaning solution thru them while in the printer (blotter paper underneath) but the Black still only prints about every other line, frustrating. I assume if I take the printhead out I should brush it with or soak it in cleaning solution, or warmed up cleaning solution? Please advise, thank you.

      I use a syringe with a tube from an aquarium air hose, about 2 inches. I use "LA's Totally Awesome " cleaner dilluted about 50/50 with warm water. You can soak the bottom of the printhead in the solution overnight or for a few hours. The unfortunate outcome may be that the nozzles are damaged if, after a thorough cleaning, there are still blocked nozzles.

    i removed the head, and cleaned it, now i replaced everything, but the printer will ,ont power up. there is a little red light in the bottom left, so there is some kind of power. but the power on button does nothing. is there anything i might have inadvertenly, disconnected?

    • @303electronics
      @303electronics  7 месяцев назад

      Hi, yes, the scanner wire may have disconnected when younlifted the top of printer further than usual, if you removed the stop support unit. You can open the side cover and reconnect the wire. You should be able to see the disconnected wire as soon as you remove the cover. The cover should be on the same side as the USB connection.

    You coulnt possibly tangle those white leads

    • @303electronics

      They are folded in places which help avoid tangling.

      Thanks for the suggestion, I am working to improve the camera position. I'm sorry for the lack of detail visibility.

      agree, i can't find how to "unclip" the contact board and can't see what you did. Is there a metal clip or a detent or .... I don't know what I'm trying to do. I see you had to try several times so it's less than straightforward. So removing the piece is a stopper but I'll keep trying but feel like I'll break something before I get it out. Printer isn't working now do nothing lost if I do break it some more.

    Hey. Are either of these 2 printers convertible to sublimation ?

    • @303electronics
      @303electronics  Год назад

      Hello. According to RUclipsrs that post sublimation work videos, yes, WF-3620 and WF-3640 printers can be converted to sublimation ink setup. If you have a used printer, I'd recommend flushing the printhead before introducing sublimation ink. You don't have to take the printhead out if nozzles are working fine now.
