awesome, i just went into wood cnc and i like ur progress and ideas. inspiring. for the bed... u can use a vaccum table DIY type with a regular vaccum cleaner and a plywood board with lots of holes. should work better than carpenters sticky paper... or double sided sticky paper... not as cheap as regular carpenters tape but works.

But when it gets to the art of creating joints and how and when to use them this book really starts to teach you something. At least that was my experience.

Hi Guys my eyes have been opened. Bought some Pine Trays . Painted them , then Stenciled it. We have not begun our CNC jouney but we hope to when we move a larger Home with a few Acres of land. Have promised our Grandson a few Ducks to which he has already made x How llng have you Guys been making all these wonderful items x your Workshop looks wonderful x

I have a question too: Can one use this setup to mill aluminium with adequate blades for it or does it need "the machinery" -setup from the manufacturer? I'm bit lost and I definately want to encarve and cut aluminium too, but the machinery setup is just too small. Thanks in advance for any hints you might have!

Nice soap trays! But oil may not be a good idea for contact with soap. Probably a waterproof varnish will do better

I am a newbie with the CNC but have been using a laser for the past 3 years, so I have been creating some very intriguing designs. I understand that your projects are for 'quick and easy'. However, observing the finest details of your tattoos, I wonder if you also do artistic intricate CNC engraving?
From my standpoint, these items are very bland with surfaces that could use some attractive 'squiggels'. Do you or have you made any follow up videos showing finer detailing and artistic engravings that would put your products over the top of your competition?

Could also do a recess on make and glue in a piece of clear acrylic. I’m making this one for sure!!
I was going to for the maze but I figured most people wouldn’t want to mess with the acrylic 🤷🏼♂️ would be pretty easy to pull off thoigh

Thanks Casey! For stuff like this just the furniture oil. You can always re oil it if it looks dull. On all the larger pieces I’ve made using furniture finish I’ll let it sit for a full day or two then follow up with the butter. I like Rubio pure and odies as well for “natural” finishes
Those little silicone wedding bands do break fairly easily, but please trust me when I say they can pull your hand into a place you don't want it before that break happens.
That pulling force can be applied to your hand in an instant, before the Young's Modulus even has a chance to say "elas-whatnow?"

I got into CNC a few years back. One of the biggest challenges is to stay away from" "I have a modern CNC so I must always use it" There are times where the CNC slows you down and costs you money. I'm talking about using the right tool for the right job. The wine racks could be produced much faster and just as accurately with a table saw. You have many fine tools in your videos but you may not have a table saw. For that project, I would recommend one. The heads of the mallets would be more efficient with a table saw. Please understand, I am not being critical. Just providing some well-meant advice. I like your projects, Keep up the good work!!
Absolutely I totally agree. But some people want to make things with their Cnc and don’t have a large tool collection like I do

Thanks so much for sharing this! I didn't receive my machine yet, but have been studying easel and I can't figure out how to add certain bits like bowl bits or dovetail bits. Is there a way to do that in easel or do you need vectric? Thanks!
Hey! Just change the custom end mill to what ever size your bit is. So the bowl bit I use is ran as a .75 end mill. I’m not sure how you’d use a dove tail bit with the 𝙲𝙽𝙲 🤷🏼♂️

Great video! Do you have a 'formula' for pricing items? I always have a problem with this. I know things can affect prices such as demand but where do I start when pricing an item? Thanks
I roughly charge $2 a minute of Cnc time. So if a tray takes 30 Minutes I charge $60 then I also have to sand it and oil it which takes about 10-15 minutes

Hey! Thickness doesn’t matter as along as the pieces are all the same thickness. The material we used was .83 as that’s what comes from our lumber yard. .75 would work just fine. Thanks for the support 😁

Do you have to use a special wood for the soap dishes because of high moisture exposure? What do you recommend?
nope! as long as its not like submerged in water it will be fine. White oak, cedar, and mahogany are good for outdoor projects. I just used cherry in this video and they currently live in my bathroom for over a year now and look fine.

I"m curious as to where you get your wood stock from? I'm interested in exploring CNC but I want to get a realistic idea of how expensive it will be including wood before I make a commitment. I see all the other "items used" but not wood. Do acquire your wood locally or online?
We get all of our wood locally in Wisconsin. We go though a few different lumber mills

hey! I dont know how the shaper orgin works, ive never used one! The files we offer are SVG files and should work with most cnc or lasers. but i honstly dont know hwat the shpaer is capable of

Thanks! Yep still easel. I have v carve pro but I need to learn it. It’s also not supported on Mac and it’s all we use so it’s an extra hurdle

I'm in the UK and want to get into cnc woodworking but not sure which machine to get. Stuff here is either really expensive industrial equipment or cheap rubbish, can you recommend?
Hey! Unfortunately I’m not familiar with all the machines that ship internationally. I do know onefinity shits world wide but pretty much any decent Cnc is going to cost at least $3000 especially shipped overseas. You could probably build one and that would be the cheapest route 🤷🏼♂️

Onefinity and shapeoko both make great machines with a few size options. I personally have a onefinity
how fast are you running the 1/8 down cut through the hard woods?
Uhhh 110ipm .1 depth and 15k rpm’s I believe. I’d have to check my presets but that should be pretty close

Not sure that wood is the best medium for soap dishes. Have you looked into something else, like Corian or Soapstone?
It was just scraps and they’ve held up just fine for over a year. I’m sure there’s far better types

It’s brass tubing I got off amazon. 3/8” it was like $10?? It wasn’t much. Then I jusy cut it with a dremel

So how do you know what size of wood piece to put into the cnc????
The program tells you when you design it. You could also scale it to what ever you want 🤷🏼♂️
My husband and I would like to buy a CNC machine, on an average what could we potentially be able to make in a month
hey! thats a very hard question to answer, It depends what you plan on selling. also are you plannig on doing this full time? For example if you only have a few hours to spare each week it probably wont amount to much. My wife and I have been full time for over 5 years but its a ton of work. Also CNC isnt our only source of income. Theres also a learning curve, it will take you months to learn how to use it and then you need to figure out how to sell items and run a business.

Just found your channel after finding Hamilton’s channel. Love what y’all are doing. Just a quick question. Why does it take so much longer for your cuts than it does on Hamilton’s machine. He charges $1 per hour. If you charged that, it would price you out of the market. What are your thoughts?
I would charge $1 per minute at least. If you can’t get more than a $1 per hour I wouldn’t bother lol when I sold catch all trays they averaged $60-$100 each and would take me about 15 minutes of carve time. The mallets take less than 15 minutes and I sell/sold them for $60+
I’m friends with Hamilton and I’m not sure what you’re referring to or the context of the $1 per hour is but that doesn’t sound correct. If you watch my recent 𝙲𝙽𝙲 tray video I a basic pricing breakdown for beginners.

No t track clamps?
You can defiantly use clamps if it makes you feel comfortable! For me it depends on the job, for most small things I just use double sided tape or screws. No real reason its just my preferred method on small things.
