    Love the X-Carve in the background in the intro ;) Curious if you've considered adaptive clearing using Fusion 360. I've found it allows me to clear a lot more material more quickly when making bowls and super deep pockets. Keep up the great work!

    I see you guys also have an x-carve. The infinity looks beefy! I'm looking at both now.... Since you have both mind giving a pro's and con's vid of both or a (:vs:) Vid. I'd love to see more comparisons.

    Thank you for these videos! Looking forward to receiving mine in October. Question - your bowls look like they have visible polygon stepping along the edges, as if they were modeled in SketchUp with the default side # of 24. Seems they should be smooth curves if the designs were drawn with vectors, which makes me wonder what software you’re using to model the bowl projects.

    Wondering why no one uses lead-in and lead-out ops to avoid possible burning? For the matter, why no one sequences code, or order of ops to minimize cut time. Sorry, an old CNC programmer here - perhaps the rudimentary knowledge is skipped to just get you into it (obvious, due to the popularity/dependance on touch plates LoL). Still, slightly putting the cart in front of the mule, but OK.

    • @OnefinityCNC
      @OnefinityCNC  2 года назад

      Most users don't use that for wood, more for metal.

      @@OnefinityCNC - That would depend on dwell, tool, speeds/feeds and material. Here, I have nothing BUT hardwoods LoL. It can't do any harm, even on less dense mat'l, so why not just set S/W default? (It IS a default in MasterCAM, Visual MFG, and FANUC-Op)) I seem to remember learning this the hard way using sign foams back in the 90's (they tend to melt with even nano-seconds of dwell). Yes, I am that old and did take G-Code and material removal processes at University level in Mfg Engineering back then.

    Do you use double sided tape to clamp? If so, which tape did you find holds the best?

    I was wondering 2 things what soft ware do you use for designing and toolpaths.? Second what sort of tool path do you create for that 3/4" straight bit . Would you share that toolpath, does it include ramping in?

    Great video....I have been looking to buy a CNC router and have been looking at what Avid CNC has. They are pretty expensive but the gantry is rigid and I like the rack and pinion drive but after looking at what Onefinity has I'm sold. Thanks ....Oh are you in the USA? Would like to contact you for more info.

    Have you ever made anything that wasn't made out of "scrap?" Everything you do you say "I made this out of scrap." What have you made out of good, first-class lumber? What can I make out of good lumber with a CNC? Not just SCRAP!
