  • Hey Everyone! I am so sorry its been so long since my last upload. With the slow season comes mostly maintenance appointments rather than a boatload of fun transformational work. But I did make sure to film this one as I do take a different approach to this colour correction than I do to most. I hope you all enjoy it and please let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

I learned that those Quoting Brad Mondo need to mind their own damn business because I can guarantee they are NOT hair stylists themselves and therefore need not to be correcting you and your work. You are extremely talented, clearly very educated on what can be done and how to do it properly, and once again you did an Amazing job.

I get more out of your videos than I do a Schwarzkopf color class, you do an amazing job and I hope I can be as good as you are. No apologies on the styling nessesary, you could have done below the parietal ridge a little more texturizing through the mid lengths which that type of hair really benefits from but with color that beautiful who's really looking. Thank you for more of your approach and knowledge on toning, it's why I keep coming back. :)

I just have to say whenever I watch these even as a complete novice it just puts me in awe. You’re truly an artist. It is no different than a painter. You’re amazing and your talent humbles me. You have an overall picture in your head but like an artist you adjust and compensate because it’s art! Thank you for what you do it’s inspiring and entertaining!

Very surprised at the lift you achieved in one step-on copper hair! In the very beginning I was skeptical about how much color her coarse hair would give up. You must have learned early on that test strands are a MUST! Great job. Your book must be full.

What a transformation! I have so much respect for the patience and level of detail you put into correcting her hair. I’m in awe by the formulations and how you have to make those judgment calls as you go. Hair chemistry at work.
I also have that same coarse curly hair and have a lot of it, but mine is like kinky curly at the crown and along the front hairline. It’s so tough to style which is why I get a qiqi treatment to smooth/straighten it out for my sanity haha.

    Hi there!
AMAZING transformation, especially if you consider the starting point (artificial red colour)!
That hair texture can put up with A LOT, but it's also difficult to smooth-style (I have the same). I think your client would greatly benefit from a keratin blowout.
As for that irisé toner, it's pronounced EE-REE-ZAY, with the stress on the last syllable (it's French for iridescent as you probably know).
It's always a pleasure to see you at work and I honestly think you're one of the best colorists here on RUclips. Keep it up! :)

"Meticulous steps in a salon reality manner" You really did impeccable work, of which most hair professionals would fall short. I watched all 28 minutes and enjoyed every second- because this is exactly what should be done. Addressing each part of the canvas and treating it with the general protocol Is the big key takeaway from this tutorial. (the styling part you expressed not being the best is inconsequential)- after spending all that time on the color correction- I would care less about styling when the biggest feat is that you beat the red color molecules. Bravo and keep posting. :)

It’s so hard to find anyone nearly as good as her! I have tried and have driven several hours to get something done that looks worse than what I do myself at home. :(
The last time I went to a salon I paid close to 1k for a color correction … they did not even get me close to blonde after they said they could get me to at least a strawberry blonde. It wasn’t just that but it was so uneven and looked just terrible. I legit did a better job doing it myself at home before. And yes this person was a “blonde specialist”. Ahhhh!!

I had a super hard to break through orange hair and I actually tested four different types of bleaches and different types of volumes and the only one that worked was Schwarzkopf blondme clay with 30 volume and it would need to be rinsed out after 13 minutes. But that was the only formula that got rid of orange. Since it was only 13 minutes, I had to work in stages and complete one area at a time.

I live in Florida. In the past 3 years I've been to three different hairdressers once every year because it takes about that long for me to get the gumption up to go to another hairdresser. I was the one today and the haircut was fine. The haircut's fine. She bleached my hair and then put a six neutral hair color in it. My hair is darker than it was when I sat in the chair. I don't understand where do I go to find a hairdresser that can actually do hair? I was supposed to leave with blonde highlights and now my hair is darker than it was when I sat down. What do I do with that? I watch all of you guys on RUclips to make sure that I can communicate what I'm looking for and it just doesn't seem to work. How do I fix this issue that I seem to be having?

    • @lorim.3697
      @lorim.3697 6 месяцев назад

So I am a colorist, I would suggest the very next time you go to explain your ( negative experience, moreover … what you had done ) if you want highlights, say you want highlights . They would be applying foils , I know if someone started applying Bleach to my head, I’d say something immediately , one can ( look) to see foils that are about to be used- as well as the absence of foils , so something is missing , as it’s pretty clear they are very different services. 🤷‍♀️

I take issue with the "no combing bleach through" thing. I think it's fine to do when you've just applied it to a section, though sure, maybe a fine-toothed comb isn't ideal because... ow? But if gently splitting sections (aka, combing) is risking the hair's integrity, the stylist isn't doing something right. Brad Mondo has his strengths as a stylist, but he isn't the Gospel for Colorists, either, especially because the chemistry of our products are always changing.

I tried Blondme, it's very harsh and causes a lot of damage. The clay was the harshest.
Luckily I tried samples on tub hair and cuttings before applying to my hair. I suggest this for you also, to find what's best for your hair. When you find the bleach that works you can also pick out the toner and try that too before actually applying anything to your hair.
Dark to blonde will take months to minimize damage. Chocolate with highlights would look great too, and less damage.
