Totally agree. I love this moment at the end of the season, when he said that he's leaving inspire by her and all of that, and then he ask her to dance... It's so cute, seriously. It's a little detail but I love it, it's like "I'm leaving because you don't care about me but still I wanna dance with you". So adorkable 😍😍 Not talking about Colin calling her "Pen" "You're really good, you know that?" Please just STOP COLIN BRIDGERTON 😍💘

Well in the books there are a lot more scenes at balls and at the balls Violet always forces one of her sons to dance with Penelope, it usually ends up being Colin. They also do become great friends over time and Colin does really value her opinion. He just doesn't realize he's in love until later because he's so busy trying to find himself.

But it’s when she’s no longer there is when he will realize how important she is to him, when someone else sees how brilliant and beautiful she really is. Colin has her and her affections now, it’s when it’s gone from him is when he will realize what his heart desires. They always said “you don’t know how important something is until you lose it” …(I hope she gives him hell and makes him chase her) I can’t wait for this love story, theirs is the most beautiful love journey in the books. They remind me so much of Darcy and Elizabeth 🥰🥰
I fully agree, but id argue he doesn't fully realize her importance yet. I think he believes that she'll always be there and so that's why he leaves and everything because she's be there when he comes back. [I'd love if she would take him leaving as a sign he doesn't care or something and decides to try and move on or something but I've also been reading so many polin fanfics so]
