I agree that he needs to recognize HER and not just who she is, but he also hasn’t mentally realized that he loves her. I’m hoping he does in season three. Without realizing, he has said he would never abandon her, protected her in season 2, and whenever she is bullied, he gets her out of there and puts his focus whole on her.
