After watching plenty of Klaus and Caroline scenes, I think the writers did a great job. It wasn’t a usually innocent girl falls for bad boy situation, Caroline doesn’t just see good in Klaus but actually stands up to him and the push/shove he needed to change.
It was a thin line, but the Vampire Diaries and the Originals managed to walk it.
They had the best chemistry✨
When she tells him hes not the villain in her story is one of my favourites. He needed to hear that

Honestly the biggest reason why i like the Originals over the Vampire Diaries is because of there being no Elena! Still wish that at the very least Bonnie was brought over to that series. She would have been better in the Originals than in whatever was S5 onwards Vampire Diaries.
I remember watching S5 when she decided to take over writing the whole season , she changed the dinamic of The Originals comparing to S1 till S4 and i hated everybit of season 5 , Hailey died in a lame way against an ordinary vampire. , elijah being useless , a magical discovery of " The last white oak stake " , how klaus and elijah died , klaroline didn't happen , i was like ughhhhhh

I literally got in an argument that Klaus was in France committing mass murder of those "enemies" of him and his family. That was to ensure the future for Hope! Like why are you arguing against that! They said he was just "acting out." Klaus is methodical in his violent chaos. The more chaotic, the more it was planned and orchestrated.
