Super cool car! I know I always tell you that 👍 I've tried several different carburetors on my mod 318 4-speed car, Holley's & Edelbrocks. I keep thinking about trying a Quadrajet from Jet Perdormance which has all of the bugs worked out of it and are considered high performance carbs. I have to ask, with primaries so small, do you have to literally floor it if you want any performance at all?
Thank you! Much appreciated. I wish this had been a 4-speed car. Would’ve really been a blast. The jet performance units are decent. Quadrajetpower.com is a perfect place to dive in. They even custom build them tailored ro specific applications. I use them for all of my replacement and upgrade parts. With the smaller primaries, it’s the opposite effect. The high velocity small primaries are efficient and very responsive. With the secondary air door adjusted properly, it will only open as needed as well. So you wouldn’t notice a transition at mid throttle really. I would use these carbs on everything if I could. They also can get the best fuel economy as well.

Have you tried getting the heads machined for bigger valves? It apparently pairs well with a bigger cam and 4bbl set up like what you have in there
