Welcome!!
@@SilhouetteSchool thanks for that border Tip 🙏🏾
I have used this many times and it's awesome for many colors...however picking it up from the paper to put onto your shirt is not easy AND it doesn't last as long as vinyl. That being said, it's still more convenient.
Yup you need some type of a mask material..this is where the Uninet iColor White Toner printer really comes in handy. The other option would be to use a sublimation printer and sublimate on white glitter HTV and apply that to the shirt. There are a few other options for ease of use - but the inkjet printable I showed here is the least expensive option if you don't have a sublimation printer or a white toner printer www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/p/melissas-fleet-of-printers-for.html
I had the hardest time picking up with the mask any tips ?
Use printable heat transfer mask, put it on just like you would on regular vinyl, after you weed it. Flip over and pull the backing slowly from the carrier/graphic.
@@RedDawnAviation it will pull the ink off
the art to notice is anything with “”The Crows Nest” on it or the “life is a beach” art, all used transfer sheet.
What does it mean if white is not a vibrant white and you can see the shirt behind it? For example- I had a navy shirt and did a printable dark htv with a sail boat- the sails were white and when transferred came out grainy and could see the shirt through it. I hope that makes sense.
Hi there! This can be achieved with a few different methods. Screen printing or a specialized printer. Check out the different kinds specialized printers here: www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/p/melissas-fleet-of-printers-for.html
Is this specifically for black? Or other dark colors? If so do we use trial and error to get the right color offset of the shirt?
Hi there, yes, this particular material is "for darks". You don't necessarily need to match the shirt with the offset. You could use a different color entirely. Depends on your design and how you'd like it to look.
P.S. did you post link for overalls? Pweeeze..TO CUTE

Your video was exactly what I was look into for. I have black shirt I want to put a photo that I have printed on printable HTV How can this be pressed if I don’t have a Teflon sheet to put over it? Can I use the silicon sheet or parchment paper?
I would not use a silicon sheet (too thick) or parchment paper. I would use butcher paper or a thin cotton piece of fabric and I would try to pick up a teflon sheet from Amazon if you can :)
@@SilhouetteSchool thank you, I will look for a Teflon sheet on amazon.
THANKS ! You reckon I can print small flag images and use it on white leather? nothing big just small image. should I buy the dark or light? you think a iron on paper would work as well on leather? I wouldn't be washing the leather so i would prefer the cheaper option. Iron on paper or Iron on vinyl (HTV) would you reckon?
Hey there! I would check out this blog post: www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/2021/08/tips-for-making-faux-leather-earrings.html
You are using Starcraft printable, and reading in the comments I noticed that there is a Siser printable htv as well. Is there a reason you chose starcraft over siser for this design?
Hey there! It's just my preference. Check out this blog post: www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/2020/11/5-mind-blowing-ways-to-use-inkjet.html
do you have to use a heat press, can you use an iron at all?
Yes you can use an iron for this.
Hi I love your video I very new to this. I was wondering I am working with some EMS people that have lost love ones from 911 I have to make t shirts in dark colors and dew rags. I see there is a lot of different paper you can use. What do you recommend? I do have the SISER EASYSUBLI which I find hard to use cause you need to heat it up after printing and then cut it and my pictures are not coming out the same colors. I do have a silhouette Cameo and a Sawgrass sg 800. My other questions is do you think it is easier to use Vinyl on the shirts or the picture the vinyl has to be 3 colors red white and blue. Please help I am so confused how to do this Thank you so much PS I think the heat transfer paper would be easy but I know it does cost a lot I have to make 42 t shirts and 300 dew rags Fun Right
You will have to use HTV or transfers for dark colored fabrics as you can't sublimate directly onto darks. Multiple color HTV is going to be time consuming. You may want to consider outsourcing the transfers www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/2020/01/why-small-silhouette-businesses-should.html
How many washes will this last for before the image starts to have imperfections such as cracking or fading?
I am very careful with how I wash these, and they're not my everyday wear so, truthfully, they've held up great!
@@SilhouetteSchool Thats great! I was planning on making a shirt with it but was a little hesitant until now. Thank you!
I used the heat mask and was having the hardest time do you have any tips on this?
What was the issue?
So you printed on a regular computer? not sublimation correct? Also please do a vid on the extra thick border, I'm sooooooooo visual
Yes, this is from an inkjet printer onto printable HTV! For being a visual learner, we would suggest checking out Silhouette U (we have in depth tutorials on a wide range of Silhouette Studio tools). silhouetteu.com/pages/silhouette-videos-help
Do you think this’ll work for sublimation ink?
Hello there, there is a similar product to this that is for Sublimation. Check this blog post out here: www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/2019/06/siser-easysubli-htv-everything-you-want.html
Which tack of mat do you use with the printable heat transfer?
I use the standard Silhouette cutting mat
Thanks Melissa.
Does this have to be on 100% cotton? If u do it on say 60% Prima cotton will the ink look faded per say
As long as you can apply HTV to the fabric, you can use this with this Printable HTV.
Where did you get the bibs?
The overalls can be found here > amzn.to/2Ry4oef
What type of printer do you use to print out the images?
An inkjet printer!
@@SilhouetteSchool can you use a laser printer?
Inkjet printer? What brand and model? Thank you,
How many washes before it lightens up or starts cracking?Thabks
Hi there! It REALLY depends on how you launder. The gentler the care, the longer it lasts.
What kind of heat press do you use?
This is the press I have www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/2021/02/how-to-use-8-in-1-heat-press-machine.html
Hello I’m having trouble with my heat pressure idk wats a good temperature to use I’m doing jet pro as heat transfer paper I’m confused am I supposed to peel of from paper first or peel of once I heat it to shirt pls help
For lights, place it on the shirt, heat and pressure with the heat press, then peel off the paper. If applying to darks, you need to apply as I did in this video.
Wat is a good temperature to do ? The ink is not sticking to the shirt
Can you print on this with sublimation ink?
No this is inkjet printable
Best printer for printable vinyl?
Definitely Roland BN20A www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/p/roland-bn-20a-and-versaworks-tutorials.html
Can this be used on Soft Shell Jackets?
It's worth a try
It won’t show me what I want to print it’s just blank
How would you do this with a sublimation printer?
Hey there! Check out this blog post instead: www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/2019/07/how-to-print-patterned-htv-with.html
can i use sublimation ink?
Hello there, there is a similar product to this that is for Sublimation. Check this blog post out here: www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/2019/06/siser-easysubli-htv-everything-you-want.html
Can you pls link your printer you used?

Cam you not show on your laptop from start to finish because some understand how to do this . Like registration marks so that's why I'm suggesting from the beginning.
We do have some software type videos, but this video was done live on Facebook Live making it nearly impossible to show the software portion as well. Id you'd prefer that you may want to consider Silhouette U where we are heavy on software videos which are pre recorded and allow us to do full start to finish tutorials much more easily. www.silhouetteu.com
The other option is to check out the free written blog posts on Silhouette School where all the steps are written out with screen grabs. I did link to that in the description of this video.
13:51 whats the difference between the 2 machines in the back?
Which two machines?
@@SilhouetteSchool the pink and blue one at 13:51
I texted my design that i want to get cut. I just received my cameo 4 and trying it. when i hit the send button, it does nothing. i have not a clue whats wrong. It is connected to pc via bluetooth. please help
Hi MICHELLE SHEPHERD, it would be easier to provide you the help you are requesting if you could please send an email with some additional information. Please provide as much info (including cut settings / exact material / screen grabs) as possible when emailing. My email can be found through the contact page on Silhouette School Blog www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/p/blog-page_9.html
Where can I get the printable htv
If you click on this video's description to expand it, I linked to the product.
On the back of the silhouette package it says to press for 2 minutes. Why does your tutorial only say 30 seconds?
I'm not using Silhouette brand printable HTV so the time for this brand is probably just different. I've never heard of an HTV that needs to be applied for 2 minutes. Seems way too long
Am I the only one that thinks she cute as hell?
Hello from 🇨🇦,
I have an Epson WF-7720 and I am having difficulty getting the printer to pick up the Siser Easysubli from the paper tray.
I have tried the main tray, as well as the rear tray, and the printer keeps sending me an error message or says the paper is jammed.
I want to print directly to the Easysubli. I don’t want to utilize the other method of printing to sublimation paper then pressing to the Easysubli unless I have no other alternative.
Do have any suggestions to get this to work for me? I have been looking for answers to this question forever! (and by forever I mean the last 24 hours 🤣)
Any help or advice is greatly appreciated😊
Thanks in advance!
I don't use the Epson so it's tough to say - but you might want to take everything else out of the tray and see if that helps to let the rollers grab the easysubli more easily.
easysubli doesn't work in just any printer I figured out the same way with my epson.
ARE THEY WASHER SAFE??
Hey there! As with any hand-made item, the gentler the care, the longer the wear :)
That machine sounds like a badly tuned instrument lol
whom would have all this equipment to do this! RUclips is a hobby channel. Geez!!!!!!!
You’d be surprised! Many, many people! Where people have a cutting machine a lot of us would also have some form of heat press to make things like this , whether it be a Cricut heat press or a full on one as per the video.
Usually what happens is people get a Silhouette machine and then start adding on from there..the reason this process is nice is it only require a Silhouette machine, and home printer which most people also have. Then all that would be necessary is a a heat press or Easypress which is usually the second item people buy after a CAMEO. The reason this process is nice is b/c it's an alternative to sublimation or white toner and those printers jump to a start up of at least $500.
Most people that’s addicted to crafts have everything eventually 😉😉 .
Awesome that offset trick is awesome.
I don't like to watch her videos because one she move and talk to fast. She's all over the place she don't stay on topic. Do anyone understands what she says about the transfer paper I understand the mirror. I don't understand when she says the ink is going to transfer on a black on the shirt, but it's not because you not going to see it.
This is not HTV its transfer paper.
