Thank you for the tutorial! Its been a few since I did a HTV (been doing a lot of inkjet) and needed a brush up on vinyl-I had not seen the 'create a black background' before and that was extremely helpful! Thanks so very much!
I just love your videos. I have not yet used the online manual to learn how to operate my cameo 4. As a beginner, if I want to know how to do a project, I go to RUclips and look for you. It's, how would Melissa do this? Thank you so very much for all you do for the cameo users. Your work is so appreciated. Good day!
Great to hear! Thanks Barb! If you're interested, you ever can't find what you're looking for you may want to check out my blog SilhouetteSchoolBlog.com for written tutorials or SilhouetteU.com for exclusive video content, 1:1 help, etc.
Hello I love your channel and all of your work, I purchased my cameo last year and I have never been able to make a successful cut yet! I also joined your school and I have been watching video after video trying to solve my cutting issue but I just can’t figure it out. Every time I send a cut it only cuts maybe 3 inches of the 1st letter and nothing else and it goes through the entire cutting process, I even tried increasing some of the setting to get it to cut deeper and still the same results,🤷🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ I don’t know what else to do and it is so discouraging! Could you please help, please?
I would suggest you check out some of the beginner tutorials on Silhouette School and if you are still having the issue you can email me through the contact page on Silhouette School Blog.
I'm having a similar problem :( I was so excited to use my new machine, but I just can't seem to get the cuts to go all the way through, and they get lighter as the design moves across horizontally. It's very discouraging.
Hey there! The Silhouette Cameo 4 is a great first machine! Check out this buying guide blog post! www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/2018/11/best-silhouette-cameo-bundles.html
Thank you this helped me alot! Ive had my silouette cameo and been scared lol will definitely be back for more!! You didnt go around the world to explain everything you just got right to it.
Curious - how did you install ur silhouette software in your apple laptop? I have the apple laptop but it did not workif you can teach me how really appreciate it...Thank you
Whenever I do that to get the center of my shirt, when I go to press my design to my shirt it ends up creating a crease / you can see the line on the vinyl and my shirt is ruined, I have a cricut easy press mini not a huge press
Hey there! You could ungroup the design and only cut the ghost out of purple. Check out this blog post for tips on layering! www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/2014/12/layering-vinyl-two-tone-offset-vinyl.html
Hi. I only have the auto blade. I have Cameo 3. Can you tell me what the settings are. I used what was already set, 3 & 33. It stuck to my mat. What should I adjust to.
How on earth did you get your MacBook to connect to your Cameo via Bluetooth? My Cameo Plus came with a Bluetooth dongle installed. My M1 Mac mini connects via bluetooth but the Caneo Plus says "unavailable" even though the Blue Tooth is lit solid blue on the panel. Please help if you can... Thanks
@@SilhouetteSchool Thank you so much for your reply. Love your channel. I am a 3 day old Cameo owner. I sent Sihoueltte some pictures of my issues and their reply was to do what I already did. Anyway, I shipped the 4 Plus back to Amazon for a refund and found Speciality Graphics with the Silhouette Cameo 4 for $229 including tax and shipping. I understand I sent back a larger version but after watching you I think the standard model is a good start and saved a LOT of money. This is long winded but I have saved your tracing vides and know how so I can start using the machine.
You do not need to do more than one press unless you didn't quite have it pressed long enough the first time. Check out this blog post about the blade! www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/2021/04/silhouette-cameo-4-premium-blade-how.html

Which MacBook do you use, are you still using a MacBook? Have you used silhouette studios with the new MacBooks? M1 M2 or M3’s?
Just to be sure, the shiny side is face down, correct. I've been having issues with my cutting
Yes you cut HTV with the shiny side down
@@SilhouetteSchool yes I did it just will not cut

My actual model is Cameo 4 Plus. additional info from my last post...
Okay 1st thank you for the video.
2nd is there anyway we can cut “multiple”
11” simple word logos on the vinyl instead of making one design.
Hey there! You can definitely cut multiple designs on one pass if you arrange it on your cut mat in the software.
This is great thank you
You're very welcome!
Im new to the biz. Do you recommend the Silhouette Cameo 4 as my first machine? Thanks Melissa.
Hey there! The Silhouette Cameo 4 is a great first machine! Check out this buying guide blog post! www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/2018/11/best-silhouette-cameo-bundles.html

Would you do the same thing if you have a Cricut easy press?
Hey there! You sure would!
Do you do a second press after removing the film
You can if you want - just make sure to cover it with a teflon sheet so the HTV doesn't stick to the top of your press
Thank u
Great video! I just ordered the heat press. I need to get Teflon sheets. Can you recommend where to buy them from? Thanks!!
I usually just purchase teflon sheets from amazon
@@SilhouetteSchool can you recommend a heat press?

Hi there! What is the recommended wash and dry instructions?
I would wash inside out. It's recommended to hang dry but I honestly usually throw it in the dryer b/c I never remember to pull it out of the wash
I been trying with the cameo it's been 5 months I have the cameo pro, cameo plus the 12 in too an nothing they all dont cut exact
Sounds like there's something more going on...
Hello! Is it required to use a Premium Blade for HTV or I can use Auto Blade as well? Thank you!
You can use the AutoBlade
Hi I am new here. Can u show me how you got the image to look like that from beginning to end please 🙏🙏
Hey there! The design can be found here: sofontsy.com/products/hey-ghoul-hey-halloween-ghost-svg-png-dxf-eps-jpeg
My image is 10x10 but the machine keeps cutting to the side outside the mat not centered like the image is on screen. Any ideas on how I can fix?
Hey there, I'd check that your firmware is up to date.
@@SilhouetteSchool ok I’ll try that. Thanks
How do I do this design? But say make the ghost purple?
Hey there! You could ungroup the design and only cut the ghost out of purple. Check out this blog post for tips on layering! www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/2014/12/layering-vinyl-two-tone-offset-vinyl.html
What temp and time do you use on your HTV? Thanks
It depends on the HTV itself :) It's different for different types of HTV smooth vs glitter and different brands.
Can I get a link to the blade you use?
This is my favorite: www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/2021/04/silhouette-cameo-4-premium-blade-how.html
Hi. I only have the auto blade. I have Cameo 3. Can you tell me what the settings are. I used what was already set, 3 & 33. It stuck to my mat. What should I adjust to.
Hi there, I would try resetting to the Heat Transfer Vinyl default setting, just up the force to 14.
So what is it called ur putting over the shirt for the heat press
That's a teflon sheet.
With an iron, is parchment paper okay or do you suggest Teflon? Thanks in advance!!
I would use a thin cotton pillowcase or sheet if you don't have teflon.
@@SilhouetteSchool thank you! Your videos are so helpful!
What time and temps do you use
It depends on the HTV, but for this Siser Easyweed 305 for 15-20 seconds

Hi there, it is likely due to the version of Silhouette Studio that you are using and the Mac OS. I would make sure both are fully updated.

What are the settings for the heat press for the Hey Ghoul Hey Design?
It's glitter HTV so it was 320 for 15 seconds
*Do I need to give a final press after the first press.
* What’s the name of the blade you used

Hey there! Check out this blog post on all the Cameo 4 tools www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/2020/09/silhouette-cameo-4-tools-and-blades.html

I can’t figure out how to change the temperature on my heat press. It’s exactly like yours. Do you have a video?
Hold the set button down til it flashes then set the temperature. Press it again to set the time. Then press it again to set it.
Would I need a Teflon sheet if I’m using an iron?
I always recommend it.
Where do you get your shirts from?
The black shirt I'm waring is from Amazon! I just cut off the neck and waistband
Is this the 12inch Cameo?
Yes, the Cameo 4.
@@SilhouetteSchool looks like a big print for only being 12 inches 👍
