Brilliant! Its good to see the VX220 out and about on track. As its popping its Track Day Cherry, you would expect a few niggles to sort out. A worthy successor to 'Lazarus' the Boxer!

I recall 10 years back or so, going some down an empty A road at a quite a speed in my mk1 mr2 supercharger (with extra boost mod crank pulley so hitting about 13psi ~185bhp) that my intercooler pipe popped off and the car lost power, going uphill, and glided to a standstill, until I got out and saw the obvious fault (mikalor clamps vs stock sorted this for good to this day btw) I was very worried I'd killed the engine, but hey 4AGE/GZE are pretty bullet proof engines thank god. I know you sold it but I love the VX220.. but I'm a sucker for any angular mid engined 2 seater that doesn't cost the Earth.

Is this on the stock 175mm front tyres or larger as I see you're on TD wheels?

I would use the Raptor to tow the VX to track days. Looks like you had a fun day.

Don't want to sound negative but I think some tuition mite help you out . Positioning on track on entry into corners and exits . Changing down gear mid corner while on the brakes just upsets the cars balance . At the end of your sessions your putting the hand brake on just helps even more to burn your pads during cooling down while sat still with no air flow .

Why not an ABS cut off? My 2.2 came with a little switch under the bonnet on one of the beams. Installed by a previous owner. Switch it and disables ABS, switch it back and works fine for MOT etc.
Curious, did you jack it at the corners or just under the door, the jacking point that lifts the whole side of the car and stands front and rear?

the switch you have installed if probably put inline of the yellow wire leading to the front nearside hub.. this is totally fine, and i had it like that for years with no problem.. however, someone a couple of years mentioned that they did the same and it still triggered the abs, we use a 2 channel abs unit which is opposite corners, the switch turns off the n/s front and you cant unplug the n/s rear so the o/s front and the n/s rear is still connected so there might be some truth in the report of the abs triggering. so now i always advise just unplugging the 3 sensors, tie them up out of the way and drive many happy miles :)

To jack up the rears on my driveway seemed quite tricky even with the low profile trolley jack. So used the side points, it didn't need to come up far to get the rear wheel off. The jacking points at the back are really central and therefore tricky to reach!

@@CharlieDrives would love to but unlikely id fit in the car! I used to play a lot of f1 games so used to trim the car. My mum was the boy racer in our family. She drove a f3 car around thruxton :)
