    This is one of my dream cars. My others are a Mazda RX-7, a Nissan R-34 Skyline and a Toyota Corolla AE-86.

      @@BMW-Dan.07 I actually have a car now (lol), and my taste has changed since when I wrote that comment. Call me old, but now I'd much rather have something practical, but still reasonably fun to drive. A pickup truck, maybe. I hear Hiluxes are good.

    That's a pretty sick car you've got there man. I never heard of Vauxhall until I started watching your Conquer driving channel but that baby sounds like a monster! I have two modded Subaru cars, 1 2014 Impreza 2.0i CVT transmission with trans oil cooler and k&n racing air filter (approximately 155hp if I'm being generous to myself), and a 2014 Impreza WRX 2.5L Manual Trans with a modded steering rack & pinion, racing clutch and flywheel, and AEM cold air intake w/ prefilter. The latter is a true beast, kicking out about 275-280hp on there right now and the engine sounds with the cold air intake are spectacular. Are subaru a common car in the UK? Where I live in California, they are very popular especially the Forester and the WRX.

      Thank you, that's a lot of power you have from a relatively small car. Subaru don't sell many cars in the UK but I do see them occasionally. When I was about 14 I had Impreza STI pictures on my bedroom wall. Also as fan of the Lancer EVO 6.

      @@RichardFanders I think your mazda is pretty cool too but this one takes the cake. i imagine you want to baby this vauxhall more since it is vintage and whatnot. I actually have been into motorsports since I was 6 years old watching NASCAR after church, but didn't really get into actual street legal cars until I bought my Two Subarus earlier this year. still paying off the WRX but only owe about $4000 more, been trying to do double payments to get it paid off sooner.
      I've always loved to see WRX STI 's rally racing, and i get a bit jealous when i see someone driving by in one but my end goal is to get my wrx about 5-10 hp above a stock sti. downside of regular WRX is a lot of limitations compared to the sti. for example the 5 speed gearbox in the standard WRX can't handle much more than about 325-350 whp depending on who you ask. and the intercooler it comes with is not as efficient as the sti intercooler. so the latter i am for sure gonna replace but the former i dont want to bother with, as transmission replacement is too pricey to be worth it in my opinion and I'm not one of those guys that needs to have the fastest car on the road or anything. pretty much going for a "street rally" setup with good traction in the turns. how much did your ITB setup on your vauxhall cost you?

    Hello Richard. I have a Speedster 2.2 like you I wanted to ask you if you had to change the ECU for the ITB? Thanks and congratulations for the work 😎👍🏻

    • @RichardFanders
      @RichardFanders  2 года назад

      Yes, there wasn't much left of the original system when changing to ITBs. The throttle pedal also needs changing.

    These gains just on intake and throttle body mods.
    Or have you also do exhaust and internals as well?

    I know this might be a stupid question, but how’s the reliability for these things? I’m looking to buy one here soon.

      It's an old car so expect problems. Mine was constant problems which is why I got fed up and replaced nearly everything on it. Then there was still something problems 😂
      Standard engines and gearboxes are reliable though, but expect a complete refresh of the suspension and bushes if it hasn't already been done, side engine mounts too. Don't expect the heater to work if it's not been rebuilt or replaced. I could go on.
