The first time I watched it I thought the same thing. They all dress the same. They all seemed to have sharp teeth and be after the same person. I was confused for the first half of the movie. Underworld is one of my absolute favorite films with a sick soundtrack

The first 3 movies are fantastic, especially Rise of the Lycans. It goes into Lucien's origin story. For me Michael Sheen absolutely kills it as Lucien. He's a complicated cat. I hope y'all continue watching the movies in this franchise.

I though lost my cool on these Homies’ constant assumption that Lucian was a vampire and the unawareness of the silver as the weapon against lycans/werewolves.
I know everyone makes mistakes, but it doesn’t stop them from being irritating.

This is the new edited version. They changed the original Sonja actress for Rhona Mitra, the actress who interprets her on Rise of the Lycans. After all, the original one looked nothing like Selene as a vampire, though she resembles a little to her before she was transformed (Evolution).
This are the best Vampire's + Werewolf franchise ! First 3 movies great !
The worst part about Sonia's execution was she was pregnant at the time. Victor blamed Lucien for polluting his daughter.
Considering they are all technically part animal most are "abominations" but if they had to go on this big plot to hybridize it implies you cant just breed a lycan and vamp. That actually makes it even worse.
The Lycans in this film were a benchmark in werewolf effects makeup at the time. They went for an animalistic yet still humanoid look, but with slightly shorter muzzles- more like a pitbull than a wild wolf. The transformation sequences: bones cracking and changing, muscles and tendons snapping and growing- owe a lot to the transformation scene in "American Werewolf in London," Rick Baker's groundbreaking special effects. This film was able to utilize newer technology to make those scenes even more graphic, more anatomical. They were also in a more bad-ass context than the painful bewilderment of 'David Kessler's' living room metamorphosis.
If you get a chance to look up any of the behind-the-scenes videos, they are really excellent!
I recommend watching Underworld Rise Of The Lycans , it clears up a lot about the backstory.
The first 3 are great! Irony because she was a vampire hunter in VanHelsing! I say, this was Matrix before Matrix!

I love this series its right next to blade for me I think that's why these are kinda underrated they came after and you get that early 90's blade vibes from this one for sure nobody does a land like blade and sleene, I cant wait for you both to see "evolution" and "rise of the lycans" because that one dives into their story and history and we get more time with Lucian.
now you have to watch the rest of the series to fully understand the whole story. Such a great series of movies!
I've talked with Kevin gravioux at a con his idea when he co-created underworld was Romeo and Juliette with were wlves and vampires. He was also 'Raze' the big Lycan/werewolf.
How was his voice? I've heard that's his real speaking voice.
Yes it is. He was friendly and so happy at the longevity of his work but the voice matches his body in real life . He lets off an aura that he could demolish you in an instant. Easily the strogest hand I've ever shook .
I really like this series. I also recommend watching the second and third movie, which are very interesting. Especially the third, if you want to find out how it all started.

The visions Michael has are actually memories from Lucians past, not the future. Vampires use blood to see people's pasts and since Lucian is a hybrid, he could passed his memories to Micheal.
The methods of vampire disposal are largely dependent on the culture of the vampire's origin.
watch the "Rise Of The Lycans" its where it started the war of wolf and vampire...the story of Lucian and Sonia . a lycan and vampire who fell inlove.
I love how much Michelle is in love with this. How her eyes go wide with excitement and gets drawn futher in. Same Michelle, same.
A werewolf is a human who is involuntarily turned during a full moon. They can never turn back into human form. A lychan is a werewolf who can turn on command and goes back to human form. Lucian is the very first lycan.
This is the best saga about vampires and werewolf that has being made in this new era.
Okay, now that you saw the 1st movie, you NEED to watch all the rest. They're all very good. In fact, they keep getting better. EVOLUTION is the second film. RISE OF THE LYCANS is the third. The fourth is AWAKENING, and the fifth and last is BLOOD WARS. -OG

I think they are making a new one, Kate Beckensale posted that she’s in Budapest which is where they filmed them and she posted a video of herself wearing an updated latex outfit.
Kate and Michael Sheen (Lucian) were in a relationship when they filmed this and she’s the mother of his oldest daughter. She went in to marry the director.
Werewolves are always stronger, bigger faster can't fall under their illusions or spells. But their biggest advantage is, werewolves can go outside during the day, as humans. Vampires can't.

The only movie I’ve seen with a werewolf as powerful as a vampire is Van Helsing even Dracula was scared of his own creation watch that if you haven’t also has the best tarnsformermation I’ve seen.

Wait wait wait, what version did you see????. Because in the original film the entire scene of Lucian and Sonja's death was not yet played by the actress that you saw, in fact the flashbacks are shorter.
The other girl Viktor’s daughter is played by Evangeline Lily aka the Wasp from the Marvel movies.
Actually she's played by Rhona Mitra. They look similar but different actresses.
Well Viktor inadvertently awakened Markus by killing the Lycan scientist Singe, so he becomes a hybrid sort of like Michael. The only difference is that Michael was first bitten by Lucian and then later by Selene, which means his traits are more Lycan than vampiric. As opposed to Markus, who happens to be the very first vampire. So after ingesting Lycan blood he is somewhat on level pegging with Michael, but he can fly whereas Michael can't.

They could even have Lily Mo Sheen as Selene and Michael's mutant crossbreed daughter, and Ever Gabo Anderson as Alice's artificially enhanced clone.

It's for werewolves, and the guy who jumped across the car is a warewolf, but he needed a blood sample for the rest of the movie, but you need to know your history that silver is for warewhere. Was it kills where was not vampires steaks kill vampires, remember the old vampire stories.
