Both Alice and Lilia were real ones. They were my favorites in the coven. No disrespect to Alice whatsoever, but Lilia went out like a boss. She is DA GOAT.

I think the “Subway station” for the way out of the road was a call back to Mrs. Hart saying all she expected to see down the road was the failed public transit
Get jac schaeffer her own movie. She’s killed this episode in the most beautiful way possible. Lilia character arc was so beautiful. Very emotional but satisfying. That big reveal at the end tho 😱💀
If we're getting that Scarlet Witch solo movie, it has to be her. She's proven she's the best one to handle the character and I love how she respects the comics. Also I'd love for her to direct the Young Avengers
It's funny, I knew Jac Schaeffer wrote the Black Widow movie, and I hated that film, and for the longest time it confused me how the same person who wrote the wonderful WandaVision could have written the awful Black Widow. I only found out a few months ago that actually, Jac only wrote the first draft of that movie... then was replaced by someone else, who wrote their own version... and then was replaced *again* with a third person who wrote the final version.
Between WandaVision and now this, I *really* wish I could find out what Jac's version of Black Widow would have been. I bet it would have been *amazing.*
...and of course, I wish she could have helmed the Multiverse of Mediocrity, too.

My understanding is Jac Schaeffer is writing the Scarlet Witch movie now. Will be released in 2026. Probably another TV series following Wiccan first.
My heart for Lilia. She realized her role. She accepted she couldn't change what she saw. But the parallel between her failing to save her original coven, to saving her current coven is such a heartwarming and wrenching.
i mean, of course the best episode of the season is centered around patty lupone's character 💅

Lilia felt responsible all her life for the deaths that she could not prevent with her visions, when the truth was that she should only be a guide. A messenger, which only delivers the information and allows people to make their own decisions. Lilia's job was to accept her visions and deliver them as a true guide, but she spent so much time trying to repress them and trying to control the outcome that in the end they turned against her.

Funny how Agatha sees divination as beneath her. She was so reliant on the Dark Hold she lost connection to actual magic. Which requires blood sweat and tears. And getting used to unknown and lack of control, like life.
I guess all of them had to go back to their roots. It's so good to finally see some actual magic in marvel. I've seen a post and discussions about how Marvel avoided actual magic for so long, even with Dr Strange there was more meditating and power than actual magic and spells. I have a feeling that Billy will be the first big Avenger to combine both witchcraft and pure power (the blasts and whatnot), actually _knowing_ both.
I like how the swords stopped when Billy asked his Tarot almost like the road was like" Is he William or Billy? Oooo we can use that for a trial write that down, write that DOWN!" Idk if that's his' trial or if that's why they stopped probably just a coincidence but guess we'll see next week!
With the exception of the poisoned wine, Billy has initiated every trial so far. He found and played the record, triggering the metronome. He found and set up the Ouija board, triggering the Casio watches. Now he sees the tarot cards and picks them up, triggering the hourglass. Even that first trial he was the one who found the invitation card and it was his stand-in, Sharon, who drank the wine, triggering the kitchen timer. You could also consider him to be the leader of the coven, having first recruited Agatha to take him on the Road.
Nah, sorry... he was VERY disrespectful touching those cards without the trial leader corresponding to the element.
He's like one of those little kids at the store you have to tell DONT TOUCH!! 🤣

Because so far, everything has been triggered by Billy, like the leader should take a step first so the trials can begin. In away, it is Billy that recruited Agatha, by asking her to bring him to the witches road, makes Agatha the first member of the Coven. It is Agatha that found the other members, but it's all because she was more experienced than Billy. But Billy was there too, he recruited them too. Making him the leader of the coven. Agatha does all the other work, again gap in experience, but doesn't instantly makes her the coven leader lol
@@wiinownaa The leader is shared...That's why they are a coven. Every trial has a specialist needed to complete it and the others should wait for the specialist to take the lead. In the wine one it was Jen. In the music one it was Alice, In the slumber party one it was Agatha and in this castle one it was Lillia. The last leaders left are Rio (the Salem wilderness scenes with the cloaks?) and Billy (The blue room where he locks minds with Agatha in the mid season trailer).

So my theory for the final two episode is that Rio will want Billy/Williams souls because he “broke the rules” but Agatha will fight her like she should have done with her son.
Also Billy’s trial will be him getting all his memories back from both Billy & William.

I love how the connections in Lilia's "hallucinations" were shown here. It all makes sense now! Man, the critics were WILDLY negative in the first four episodes complaining that they didn't make sense at all. But they were wrong( I guess) and I wonder what they will say now.😅😅😅

I suspect that she has to be at the end or she wouldn't have known to tell Agatha to hit the deck. The normal divination of palm reading, tarot, and tea leaves are all fairly unfocused and open to interpretation, her actual future-sight seems limited to what's around her as she's bouncing through time.
no Death loves dead, Why would she save her. She is literally the main villain here
Death is supposed to be neutral with the others she's just doing her job but with Agatha it's personal and she doesn't kill anyone personally she just waits to take their souls
Death comes for us all.

13:56 I appear to be right about the Witches' Road being a coven maker and the trials making group of distrusting witches learning to trust one another again, to be willing to put one's life in the hands of your fellow witch.
The Witches' Road is its own magical realm, it gets what it wants. The Ballad of the Witches' Road has been telling us the journey all along:

Where all that's wrong is right
And all that's bad is good
Through many milеs of tricks and trials
We'll wander high and low

I don't think all that happens, while on the road, is final if your coven finishes the trial because, again, the lyrics:
Follow me, my friend
To glory at the end
The purpose of the trial is a witches full potential, the power of her or his coven! Lilia's teacher/mother hints to this in the episode. Witches of old died just die out because of famine, disease or because they were hunted, but because they turned on one another, abandoned their coven. Had they stuck together during those trying times, they would have survived their big trial back then in the 1600s.
All of the witches who joined Agatha all want the same thing, and that thing comes from unity. If one witch gets what he or she wants, they all should too. The trials were designed so that no single witch could complete it herself or himself. This isn't a winner takes all sort of thing; everyone wins.
Mephisto isn't the big bad of this series, Death is. Still, I wonder if we'll get a cameo. Death can't be killed, can she? But surely, she can be kept at bay. How? The power of a coven!
I cannot wait for the two part finale next week. Disney shouldn't put out a trailer, but sadly, they will =/

This episode made me sad. Also I noticed it followed Wandavision style. In Wandavision the main villain (Agatha) got revealed in episode 7, and here the main villain which seems to be Death also got revealed. I love this episode. Also i do feel like crying for Lilia😢

I like that was confusing because that put me in her perspective. Once she realize what she was afraid of and what she needs to confront, there's clarity. And I like the final gifts she gives.
I called it since episode 4 when Rio was coming close to Billy's body with Death being the original green witch she's technically still part of the coven
While watching the ending again, I realized there were only 5 of the Seven that died on the swords..
I watched that episode twice. Wow.

It is not Rio’s fault tho. It was clearly and sadly a destiny. Lilia sacrificed herself because she realised at the end that this is what she has to do. Also she sacrificed herself because of Salem Seven and not Rio

In the comics, Billy is clairvouyant but not like Lilia or Irene. It was a bad form because he doesn't know the spread. This is the first time he fumbled a trial.

So why does a "cosmic being" like Death exist as a witch on planet Earth and in that universe? (And she definitely is a cosmic being because of the statue she has at the gates of Eternity.)

The signs that Rio was Death were so glaringly obvious lol.
Not to anyone without prior knowledge. I didn’t know necessarily but comments saying she was death during her first appearance spoiled it immediately lmao
I only knew because of the internet. I had no idea who Death is 😂
I believe Lilia will survive. Reasons for that:
1. Well, we were basically shown that she sees every timeline that she experienced/will experience herself. So when she told Agatha “When she calls you a coward, hit the deck”, it’s the future, so she must be there somehow.
2. In a time slip she said “I was falling, I will fall”, and the teacher asked “What will you do with the remaining time?” meaning she now knows what will happen to her. And later, after she asked Jen to go with her to the trial, she immediately said “I know what I did wrong”. Maybe she saw a future where she let Jen quit the road and something bad happened? And at the end she also says: “Jen, you’re the path ahead”. Maybe Jen will help Lilia to get back somehow?
3. Just at the beginning of reading the carts about herself she said: “My path winds out of time“, and “Tower reversed - means miraculous transformation”. And after she falls we see her again back in time. I think as she now knows who she is “The queen of cups”, she just starts anew, but in a completely different timeline.
4. If I am not mistaken, there are still phrases we haven’t heard her say like: “I love you guys” or “You know, we really kinda hated each other, but now…”.
I really hope we will see her again, or maybe I am just too sad about her death 😭
Agree with most of that except #4, we see the beginning of that scene in one of her time jumps. I think we've actually wrapped up every one of her time jump "premonitions" except the "hit the deck" one. Lilia will definitely be at that confrontation but I don't think that necessarily means she'll have survived since Rio/Death will also be there so it's possible she'll have brought along their dead friends to taunt the remainder of the coven.
