"Magic takes the path of least resistance and all that. Plus, I was in the neighborhood." Rio was there for Mrs. Davis. Death was in the neighborhood and they did summon a green witch, makes sense she was pulled into the road.
@jkpsimplicio yup and this whole time Rio has been the observer in the coven like during Alice's trial when that demon was flying around she was just sitting on the couch reading a magazine
i like the u bring up the similarities between Alzheimer... in a way it does look like an allegory. My grandma is dealing with it right now... it's heartbreaking. Also the way Lilia was sharp in the end does fits with what i heard that when people with Alzheimer's nears their end, they start acting and thinking like they were before pre-Alzheimer
My grandma had dementia for years and about 3 yrs ago exactly 1 month before she passed away i noticed she wasn't acting right, i lived with her for years and i didn't notice anything really wrong until she started having "confusing spells" as i called them, she would call me by my late mom's name, ask where i was all day(when i literally called 2 hrs on my lunch break to check on her), and she would be really off balance and slur her words many times. She was diabetic and she never ate really healthy and rarely checked her blood sugar. I broke down and told my aunt everything and a few minutes later(she lived 2 miles from where we lived) she came and after talking with my grandma she asked me to walk outside with her(my aunt works at a nursing home on a locked unit that has many alheimers/dementia residents) and after we were my grandma couldn't hear us from inside the house my aunt started crying and told me she believes she is having dementia and needs to be checked out by a doctor. We made plans right away and we promised to keep in close touch with each other in case anything happened. Not 24 hrs later i had to call ems to come out to check on my grandma cause she was screaming in pain(she had no injuries but i was scared and called my aunt and ems right quick) so my aunt showed up first then ems came soon after, ems checked her sugar first and it was in a very dangerous high level and even noticed she was missing her daily doses of meds(she was skipping them and i had no idea) so we all convinced her to go to the hospital and get checked out. She was in 2 different hospitals in a 2 week period, during this time she had several strokes/seizures and believed the year was 1901(my aunt told me a few more things that i am not disclosing) and soon after-despite doctor's efforts- she fell into a diabetic coma and soon after passed away at a hospice. Seeing this episode and hearing Omn1 talk about alheimers/dementia reminded me of my late grandma. And seeing what all Lilia went through in her memory lapses breaks my heart. I truly believe she had her power all along and knew her end was coming after seeing Rio, i was not surprised at all to see her as death.
the thing i like the most on this channel is that you understand the emotion of the scenes, the same emotions i felt watching the episode, great reaction! 💜
This episode's structure was FASCINATING, presenting events out of chronological order because of Lilia's nature as a divining witch. Also confirmation of Rio's true identity, so there's that. XD EDIT: It totally is like Alzheimer's!
My condolences about having to witness Dementia or Parkinson's...My sister has had Dementia for over 15 years... It's rough going through that man...Thanks dor putting that out there, to share will help others.❤ Alzheimer's as well ..❤️🙏😇 your a good guy
I realized just now that Billy must be not just black heart, but also the coven green witch. I originally thought green as in earth and nature but now I think it means green as in new to the craft!
It also made me think of dementia. Anyone who has had a loved one suffer from it would see the parallels. The havoc on time and place and identity. The vulnerability. I wept through most of this episode. Patti Lupone 🎉🎉🎉🎉👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
The best episode thus far! The cinematography and the themes were amazing. I'm sad a bunch of "fans" miss such great storytelling just because of their prejudice and by being just weird.
Again... Love your comments, and especially your reactions. Interesting maybe-fact - I've heard someone say that the Death Card also represents change/metamorphosis/transformation/ ...In short? Rebirth
Really enjoyed your review and reaction as always! I was so emotional the moment we realized Lilia’s time is up, glad you also found this episode really emotional. It really reminds of how I felt while watching episode 5 of Haunting of Bly Manor. Similar time and memory related story.
they will never but … I seriously think that Patti’s acting this episode was award worthy. the episode itself was absolutely incredible, one of the best episodes of a Marvel show ever, possibly the best. It did a really amazing job at connecting the dots, the death reveal was literally insanely done, and this episode gave lilia such a beautiful ark, I really felt connected to her character. It was amazing I’m speechless
Heimdall's sword falls out of the ceiling after Lillia pulls the sun card. I'm pretty sure it's an easter egg tied to Wiccan's comic history as the Asgardian, but part of me hopes that it means Lillia ended up in Valhalla.
I burst into tears the second the needle dropped on that credits song. Absolute perfection. This was such a fabulous and beautiful episode. Thank you for appreciating it so much.
I wonder if it means anything that Lilia was the only "good" witch, while the other 3 played "evil" witches, or if it was just since it was lilias trial
Little funny that technically Billiam DID get to the door before Agatha so Oops guess you're a nice person now lady! And yeah Sobbed from "I loved being a witch" till the credits so I missed what happened did Lilia go to a nice farm?
Yes, a nice farm where she can play in the meadow with other spirit mediums to her heart's content. Seriously though, it looks like her first lesson was also her last moment. Very poetic. Hit a bit harder than I would have expected.
I didn’t draw the Alzheimer’s / memory loss connection, but I thought it was beautiful that you did. And it grew my appreciation for the episode and the show in general as a whole. For me, the episodes about loss and trauma have hit home harder but I think it’s just about my experiences in my life coloring it. This show is something special because beyond being good tv, I just love how it makes us think about ourselves. It creates little existential questions that don’t come up in “clickbait media” as much anymore and it does it exceptionally well.
I had the same thoughts regarding dementia. It was the same with my dad who passed away about a year and a half ago now. I got really emotional in this episode. Especially as my dad kept saying he could see the end close to his death 😢
11:45 And THIS is the whole point of the Witches' Road. Lilia's story, Agatha's origin 1693, mark the end of an era, when Witches stopped thriving, when they abandoned their covens, fled and turned on one another; those who lived were either found out, killed or faded away and forgotten. The Witches Road specifically requires a group of witches, all of whom must have a different skill set, to come together and join the journey together. The trials are designed so that no one witch can can complete all of the the trial herself or his self--in order to complete the Witches' Road, a witch must be willing to put her life in the hands of her or his fellow witch and trust him or her to get through the trial. The prize at the end, what they all seek, is a coven! A coven is the source of a witch's power. Had the witches stuck together in the 1600 hundreds, they wouldn't have died out or faded away. The Witches' Road is designed to make witches trust one another again, and to look out for one another. If they do that, they will be a formidable if not unstoppable force--not unlike the Salem Seven at the start of the series. The Witches' Road is its own magical realm. What happens on the road is both real and not real. Witches who make it to the win, will receive the thing they want, and what they all want, whether they know it or not, is a coven. If one witch makes it to the end, they all do! No witch could have made it to the end without the help of her or his coven. I don't think Mrs. Heart/Davis, Alice or Lilia are gone for good. "The road is wild and wickеd Winding through the wood Where all that's wrong is right And all that's bad is good Through many milеs of tricks and trials We'll wander high and low Tame your fears, a door appears The time has come to go" --The Ballad of the Witches' Road, Verse 2 I think we will see them again all again at the end. "Follow me, my friend To glory at the end" --The Ballad of the Witches' Road, Chorus The Outro to Lorna's song implies that she will see Alice at the end of the Road too. The Witches' Road is a place that dead witches who haven't moved on can linger. Agatha's mother, Lorna Wu, Lilia's Maestra and who knows who else; all of these souls we've encountered exist in this timeless plane. No wonder Death hates ghosts; she can't have them, and as long as they exist in this realm, they likely aren't really gone. Next week is going to be amazing. I cannot wait for the two part finale! 16:01 Coven maker! Lillia wants Jen to come with her because she doesn't want to be alone. Jen goes because she wants to be wanted =) 18:24 I think it is cool that the original green witch is death; it's fitting! Where do we usually put our dead? In the ground. The green Witch's domain is nature. This was indeed a beautiful episode. I cannot wait until next week. The two part finale is going to be amazing!
Agree 💯 about the Witches Road pushing them to go back to the days of covens and the importance of it. Deep down they all seem to long for that connection even if they put on a tough front.
Three of sword's vision like agatha in the center and tree swords like branches above her just like in the card, I loved it, that whole scene was so good like the entire episode ❤🔥
This has been in front of us all along. The blue hexagonal door opened when Billy came running and screaming from fear. This road is Billy's hex. Wanda's also subconsciously emerged via trauma. Are Lilia's covens destined to have a single survivor? She survived the plague so Billy could survive this. Jen being the "way ahead" could only mean she's the next sacrifice.
I've watched you for a while now and out of all the people on RUclips your reviews / reactions tend to track just like mine more than anyone else I watch on this platform. The thing you said about how your mind will wander while someone is talking and then come back is just a human condition.. especially if a person is artistic and smart. I have to carry note cards with me everywhere I go to write down every thought or idea that comes up.. OR to write down the original thought so I can come back to it after my thoughts and creativity take My mind on a ride. This looks like a different background than your other videos.. it's very intriguing.. the room looks huge. For paying members you should do a breakdown of each section of the room and the stuff on the walls.. I haven't gotten to the part of my RUclips growth where anybody cares to watch me sit at a chair and talk about anything.. but I am trying to come up with ideas of things to have in the background and I think you've gotten to a place where it's perfect
Aside from the text message and smaller clues, the fact that billy's Character is Wicca in the comics, the fact that HE WAS THE ONE with the spell book and the fascination with the practical "craft" elements of the trials all point to him being the green witch of the coven.
@@heyitsmira17 Rio will get no trial since it's confirmed she is Lady Death. I think Billy's will be next where we saw Agatha hold his head in kind of a lab in the trailer.
@@heyitsmira17 Billy is the green witch of the coven. Rio is a tourist like agatha said. Rio is the villain of the show, next week is Billy's trial the final one. And a Rio/agatha backstory of the witches road ep9
@@randomperson3119 we don't know what kind of witch Billy is or will be. but based on the other stuff from past episodes (the black heart stuff), Billy being the green witch makes the most sense because that's the only one missing on their coven.

You are the only reactor I've seen that's commented on the song choice at the end! I just figured most people either aren't from that time or weren't forced to listen to their dad play Jim Croce over and over, like me, lol!
I LOVED this episode. I think Rio has issues with a person who never existed occupying a body of a real deceased person, and that brings us to the final fight. Rio makes a point to be interested in bodies. If Death is a green witch, then she's the best composting witch around - by that I mean she is a cop holding up natural law.
I’m sorry but this show was my favorite TV show in the last 15 years The writing is impeccable And somebody please give Patti LuPone and Emmy, the character of Lilia

they did me dirty with this one. she will be missed SO MUCH! (hopefully someone at the end of the road wishes for the return of the whole coven, although thats not actually what i think it should happen but my heart cant help it)
Lilia was indeed supposed to be Glinda. All of the costumes were VERY slightly tweaked so they could get the approval from the various rights holders to use the costumes. Agatha for example has a buckle on her hat and a bit of a different brim and a different slightly purple jacket so they could get the approval. Erik Voss mentions it in the NR breakdown vid
This episode was wicked 💚, loved the costumes (Lilia was definitely Glinda)!!!! Lilia was my fave and that ending broke my heart 😢 “I loved being a witch”. Also confirmed what me and a lot of us guessed Rio was death!!! Great reaction Omn1 xx

With Death being the original green witch it means the summoning spell worked a little too well
"Magic takes the path of least resistance and all that. Plus, I was in the neighborhood."
Rio was there for Mrs. Davis. Death was in the neighborhood and they did summon a green witch, makes sense she was pulled into the road.
@jkpsimplicio yup and this whole time Rio has been the observer in the coven like during Alice's trial when that demon was flying around she was just sitting on the couch reading a magazine
There was no Advil though. Poor Alice.
@@karlotty I actually saw a reddit comment that pointed out Rio's last name is Vidal which is an anagram for Advil lol.
@@lordfoul6259Rio was playing drums during Alice's trial.
20:26 Also, time in a bottle was in X-men days of future past where quicksilver first appeared
i like the u bring up the similarities between Alzheimer... in a way it does look like an allegory. My grandma is dealing with it right now... it's heartbreaking. Also the way Lilia was sharp in the end does fits with what i heard that when people with Alzheimer's nears their end, they start acting and thinking like they were before pre-Alzheimer
What a magnificent episode! Patti LuPone ate that up.
Lilia what an amazing woman. 😢😢😢 marvel really is coming back
This episode's structure was FASCINATING, presenting events out of chronological order because of Lilia's nature as a divining witch. Also confirmation of Rio's true identity, so there's that. XD
EDIT: It totally is like Alzheimer's!
No worries i cried like a baby myself 😢 again& again watching Reacters 😢
Interesting maybe-fact - I've heard someone say that the Death Card also represents change/metamorphosis/transformation/
...In short?
Rebirth
The writer of this series is genius
Reverse Gravity. who knew Lilia could cast 7th level spells?
Lilia can enchant card's abilities bruh....like a yugi-oh😁
@@meagodgod6373 The D&D people got the reference
William was The Tower reversed .
Billy is The Magician.
Hoping it turns out that He's both, like in the comics. That it was fate that he be born twice and die twice before he could become his fullest self
Im so depressed from this episode but it was so good 😭
Time In a Bottle was a beautiful choice to end Lilia's story with. It was a dirty stab to the emotions though
The stellar way all the threads from earlier episodes were woven back together was fantastic. Skillful writing and filmmaking at it's best!
Heimdall's sword falls out of the ceiling after Lillia pulls the sun card. I'm pretty sure it's an easter egg tied to Wiccan's comic history as the Asgardian, but part of me hopes that it means Lillia ended up in Valhalla.
Youre my fav reactor... just saying.. thanks for these videos.
Agatha is.. well agatha. Jen is a scammer and is in deep legal trouble so that's evil. Teen threw Jen and Lilia off the road.
the build up and connection leads to this episode is golden! :D
I love how it's a full-circle episode and at the same time it's still attached to the preceeding episodes.
I loved the queer puns throughout this episode, lol
Little funny that technically Billiam DID get to the door before Agatha so Oops guess you're a nice person now lady! And yeah Sobbed from "I loved being a witch" till the credits so I missed what happened did Lilia go to a nice farm?
wow weak
@@shaunpcd I'd rather be open and honest with my emotions and feel them fully than demean others for having them, but go off king
@@kacektv9405 As i said weak simp
Beautifully written, 😢 it really touches the heart and soul
Honestly this is my favorite episode so far. Whenever past things started to fit like puzzle pieces, I started losing my shit.
I had the same thoughts regarding dementia. It was the same with my dad who passed away about a year and a half ago now. I got really emotional in this episode. Especially as my dad kept saying he could see the end close to his death 😢
This was one of the best mcu episodes ever and I'm excited that due to time difference, the two episodes finale would be releasing on Oct 31 for me.
I like how the first time we see her falling, she looks scared; but the actual, final fall she looks happy and at peace.
what a fantastic episode! I managed not to cry while I was watching, but seeing you so emotional brought me to tears. well done 😅💔
"The road is wild and wickеd
Winding through the wood
Where all that's wrong is right
And all that's bad is good
Through many milеs of tricks and trials
We'll wander high and low
Tame your fears, a door appears
The time has come to go"
--The Ballad of the Witches' Road, Verse 2
I think we will see them again all again at the end.
"Follow me, my friend
To glory at the end"
--The Ballad of the Witches' Road, Chorus
The Outro to Lorna's song implies that she will see Alice at the end of the Road too.
Jen goes because she wants to be wanted =)
18:24 I think it is cool that the original green witch is death; it's fitting!
Man, best episode yet for me, that hit me like a ton of bricks. Amazingly written and acted.
You give Patti LuPone a role and she will ALWAYS deliver. Whenever I see her pop up in anything I know I’m eating well that night.
The way Jen screams No to Lilia just pierced my Heart knowing what was about to probably happen 😢
Amazing episode! So happy it ended by going back to the beginning, made it go from a sad ending to just a bittersweet one.
Lilia Calderu is DA GOAT. Patti LuPone is DA GOAT.
This one made me tear up. Magnificent!
Agatha girl.....what road did you go to that you would wanna do this again? Cause no babes if i survive this GOODBYE TF!
Now I'm also thinking that she didn't go through the road at all.
Seems like the next trial is Rio's! Will Billy get the last one? 👀
@@marvel-uppermoon Billy is not a green witch tho
@@randomperson3119 we don't know what kind of witch Billy is or will be. but based on the other stuff from past episodes (the black heart stuff), Billy being the green witch makes the most sense because that's the only one missing on their coven.
i fully believe that when Lilia said death comes for us all at the end of episode 6 that was Lilia post episode 7, since she finally came around to her teachers lessons
Jen was holding a red apple. 🍎 She was so much the Evil Queen in the disguise of the old hag.
Lilia being Glinda the Good Witch makes so much sense 🥲
You are the only reactor I've seen that's commented on the song choice at the end! I just figured most people either aren't from that time or weren't forced to listen to their dad play Jim Croce over and over, like me, lol!
I LOVED this episode. I think Rio has issues with a person who never existed occupying a body of a real deceased person, and that brings us to the final fight. Rio makes a point to be interested in bodies. If Death is a green witch, then she's the best composting witch around - by that I mean she is a cop holding up natural law.
I’m sorry but this show was my favorite TV show in the last 15 years
The writing is impeccable
And somebody please give Patti LuPone and Emmy, the character of Lilia
I cried a lot as well ❤
The song choices are always on point! Loved this episode, it was confusing but in a good way. I have hope that it will, but I really want this show to stick the landing. Every episode has been amazing!
I loved it so much. Patti LuPone needs to win all the things.
they did me dirty with this one. she will be missed SO MUCH! (hopefully someone at the end of the road wishes for the return of the whole coven, although thats not actually what i think it should happen but my heart cant help it)
I’m sure Christopher Nolan was moved to tears of beauty by the timey whimyness of this episode.
This episode reminded me of the last few episodes of Loki. The best!
I love to think that no one really dies, they just enter eternity through our memories.
As someone with sequence- and time-space synesthesia I can relate to suddenly being in a different moment of time. It's very disconcerting, and more so by anyone nearby who notices.
