I do like that they’re being careful about adapting the manga. Yearly cours give the animators, actors, and musicians more time to get it right, especially when this fanbase has high expectations.

You ready guys?!” Years ago, now we’re still in season 4. I’d much preferred Mappa and Wit have been more honest, splitting the show up into seasons 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and now 8 makes a lot more sense than season 1 part 1, season 1 part 2, season 2, season 3 part 1, season 3 part two, season 4 part 1, season 4 part 2, and now season 4 part 3. Plus there’s really no downside, isn’t it a lot more prestigious to say your show has 8 seasons instead of 4?

Then they disappointed the fanbase by making season 2 about half of what season 1 had after *4 years of waiting* . Then somehow, to put up the fanbase's expectations they made Season 3 as long as Season 1 BUT divided it into two parts.
It also took them more than 40 episodes to get to Eren's basement after they decided they were going. Attack on Titan infuriates me with its constant flashbacks and filler, but its actual substance is incredible and makes it worth it.
Between this and Crunchyroll referencing the Ripped Pants song shortly after this got uploaded, this is really feeling like SpongeBob’s AND Eren’s day.🤣
