Explosive power is not linear to it's damage. You need many times more power to double the amount of damage. This means while it is a lot more powerful it isn't unimaginable or even particularly destructive, especially against the concrete buildings of modern cities.

Hiroshima was little boy which had a yield of 15kt, the minutemen have a yield of 300-330kt so 20-22 times more powerful, also each minutemen can carry 3 warheads if required. Also there are 450 minutemen missiles, 400 are deployed actively and the 50 remaining are held in reserve.
the power increase is exponential, and not a simple calculation based on kt.

Tactical Nukes are only 100kt & have a small 1 mile blast radius, with a 20 mile radiation fallout radius. It's not a big deal for Russia to use them on non ally Ukraine against military bases.

The only thing I wanna know is would they actually activate the EAS (Emergency Alert System) prior to the first detonation? If I have fifteen-twenty minutes I'd like a death other than bursting into flames with third degree burns or literally decaying over days to weeks from radiation poisoning, some may love living in a post apocalyptic nightmare but I'm not one of them.

Just a heads up, you got Minot AFB 91st MW and Malestrom AFB reversed on the map.
This ignores the probable sub launched SLBMs that'd be launched simultaneously, cutting down that 20 minutes warning to less than 5.
But every Russian sub is tracked by a us fast attack ready to torpedo it.
That’s why the submarine force exists. It makes an attack like that less likely to succeed in taking out their targets before the order is given.

Edit: I understood that Bomber launched nukes (gravity bombs) are flexible, as they can be dropped literally anywhere. Also, I think, fighter jet launched nuclear cruise missiles are fed with target locations via data link.
I think you answered your own question, depending on which strike option the president chooses, the message will get send out and the coordinates will be uploaded to each missile

20-30 minutes is cold war era thinking. The first strike, SLBM's, on a depressed (shortened) trajectory would likely take out DC, NY, USN fleet CMD on the East Coast. 5 maybe 8 minutes. All this happens at the same time 2 or more warheads detonate at extremely high altitude over the continental US, destroying the power grid, communications and most chipped devices, permanently, in an EMP strike.
That just means the U.S needs mobile platform that can operate minuteman independently so it doesn't rely on command struture to give the orders.
Middles will his in a little over a minute if launched by subs off our coast with hypersonic strike vehicles, we may not even have the time to mount the counter strike, if this happens
