- This is the first episode of a playthrough on Bad North in which we use ONLY Archers on the Very Hard difficulty. See if you can pick up any tricks or tricks on this playthrough.

I also hate that you can`t really put the mines directly onto the landing spot, as bigger boats often trigger them before the units get out of the boat.
But I do still like the mines a lot, and in this case 20:06 the bomb would not have been any better regarding the friendly fire :P
So I guess I would rather upgrade the mines than make them veterans, but that`s a tough choice

ive been bingewatching all the bad north playthroughs on this channel bc i bought it in summer steam sale and man i am glad to see yr still playing this game i really enjoy yr playstyle and commentary (v relaxing voice too)
I seen this in my recomemded and i thought it was a old video lol.
I'm currently watching all the other series and archer only is my favorite so far, so hope this'll be fun

I love this series and dont know if youll change it in the future but I think it would be better to have the archers shoot from the same angle, instad of a crossfire, so they all push the enemies of the boat in the same direction
Hadn't thought of that. I will test it out!
But the shield guys can only block one threat at a time, so if it's crossfire then the shield boys will be blocking one side(one group of acherzs while your other archers(on the other side) hit the shield boys.
@@Clone_of_Gamer This is true - if you shoot from both sides then the shield guys can only defend one direction so they get shot in the back
Ring of command and heavy weapon archers are by far one of the most overpowered combos I've ever discovered

Go for mine cause there is only on way up so they have to go through a single tile to go up at least 3 wave will be dead, that what i would do anyway so nice to see you play this game again i actually strated to play bad north because of your video and even though i finished the game i still play it love the series keep it up =)

Risks are useful as long as you use it to your advantage But remember one wrong step at the moment and you will find yourself in a wolf's den
This is what I am always trying to balance on these playthroughs. One wrong step and I'm finished!

@RogueBrothers I'd watch it but maybe there would have to be another gimmick that adds another layer of strategy to make it a bit better to watch.

Hey, just got the game yesterday and I beat it on easy(because it was my first time) and I protected every island

You should do an after commentary, not commentary during gameplay. That way the videos are more entertaining.

Why pour so much time on this game? Sure its fun the 1st time but then its just boring!
did you ever play it on very hard yourself?
I mean sure such a game is not for everyone, and I do see how you could find it repetitive, but always having new islands and new characters with different trait and item combinations make every run different enough. And it's always a challenge even for experienced players, never feels too easy on very hard
@@jakobschoch2141 I have finished the game. There isn't new islands, item combinations etc. Its just one times A is first and the next B is. But in the picture there is only A and B. My last 15 islands before the games end became such a chore. I deleted the game as soon as I finished.
@@amoththatthinks okay fair enough, like I said the game surely is not for everyone.
But I still think it's weird of you to say there are no new islands nor new combinations for characters because it's just not true. Every island is different and once you get into the different traits it actually becomes more interesting than you think.
But of course it may feel like that for you, especially when the "last 15 islands felt like chores"
For me it's never a chore, just a challenge =)
@@jakobschoch2141 I am not sure If I can call a 6x6 grid map area of new generated codes being 'that' different from the others but each to their own. I am currently playing tetris effect although peaceful like Bad North. Its really hard for me to comprehend how one person who has had the same experiences as me (this game) has a different opinion to mine. Haha anyway good day!
@@amoththatthinks well I guess that's the point: we hadn't had the same experience at all playing the game, for me it never felt like a chore so I keep doing new playtroughs with different challenges :) Anyway,
