Iron skin is an A. I mean, for non-infrantry squad it is good against archers and ballistas, and for ifrantry, it is good against Ballistas, Assasins aka dual wielders and maybe Brutes. But the problem with the last ones is that they usually send your units flying into the water. they don't really care about it

I mean positioning in this game is a good thing. Fleet of foot is incerdibly good on bug islands or islands with 3 or 4 levels, or tons of stairs. Pretty solid on archers when you need to step away after you failed to clear brute boats or thined out infrantry/axe throwers ships. And it is a viable option for pikemen squad, since sometimes you don't have time to reach the chokepoint and need valuably positioned infrentry to deal with the enemy, whereas if you had that perk, you would reach it in time

Here's a fun fact: the brute commander can knock back enemy brutes the same way as a regular enemy, meaning enemy brutes gets knocked back like regular small enemies, really helpful if you want to use your brute commander to knock BIG BOYS! into the water (do note that you need to have an army with the mountain trait for you to have a brute commander)

This game feels like what is wrong with gamung industry. Great ideas horrible and poorly done. The people in charge are dumb as fk and make so bad decisions. So many rhings in this game are a waste of time and resources (for us in game and for them in development).

My first time encounter with the Berserker Queen was strange. I knew the Rulers are really powerful. All i wanted to do was to remove some armor, but my Spark just one shotted her. A few missions later, Spark just annihilated the Viper King too XCOM RNG is weird

Ive beaten wotc legendary, ironman, multiple runs and Ive had runs where i didn't lose a single soldier. I never once used a psi soldier, domimation isnt necessary or reliable enough in Legendary. If it fails those soldiers suck plus its not permanent 100%...You do not need a scope on shotguns or sniper rifles at all. Theyre much better used on cannons. Phantom rangers are significantly worse, you Have to have the blade upgrade early game and run n gun remains the key to victory on any map. Special grenades arent necessary in any situation other than EMPs and flashbangs(early game only). Mimic beacons 100% necessary to win on legendary.

I only found 1 mistake (or not so mistake?) throughout the video and I'm impressed by it, since i always find a guy that does have good tips but has mistakes, like 3-4 5:56 Flashbang doesn't really remove overwatch, it just makes it worse, since it gives disoriented debuff + 9:05 with the emp rounds you can actually decrease their resistance to hack, which is really good, considering you'll meet way more dangerous robotic enemies (Sectopods, super heavy turret, etc.) Hope that helps commanders, bye, kiss you :) Wait

Those weird looking planes are ME-163 Komets. The world’s first and so far only rocket powered interceptor. You basically have a glider with a rocket engine slapped on the back loaded with unguided rockets and heavy cannons (later replaced with top mounted 50mm single shot cannons linked to a photocell bc those buggers were too fast to hit bombers with normal weapons) The downside of this is that they have fuel for only a few minutes and the fuel they use is crazy corrosive and stored around the pilot so yeah that’s why it wasn’t recreated later…

Don't waste points into skills too early. I have used the 16 manpower artefact on archers, that was a game changer ,had another squad of 10 archers by hero skill, and jebbena on the pikemen so they could take the one hill islands alone

If you play again then make sure that your troops are not in battle formation just charge the enemy.

The one time I used the bad 'Fearless'' trait was on my initial Jabena unit. I knew the Jabena unit was only for the early game (island grabbing pikeman) and didn't need a lot of upgrades. By giving it Fearless, I removed that trait from the pool so that I would have better odds of finding units with good traits as I progressed through the game.

Regarding the "Eliminate the Field Commander" mission; I sent a lone Reaper through the sewers, found the general, one-shot him with Deadeye, and didn't break stealth. The Reaper is born for this type of mission.
