Legit question: Opposing fans are obviously upset at this monstrous flex of money. But, what do the actual LAD players think about it? Guys like Muncy, Smith, or Lux...how do they truly feel about the circus that is the Dodgers buying power? Take a look at the Giants of 10 years ago. They won 3 World Series titles in 5 years with basically no superstars and good pitching. A remarkable feat. And they will forever be remembered as a team that won it all with heart and by playing smart fundamental baseball. Today's Dodgers however, IF they win a World Series, will forever be remembered as winning it only after spending a BILLION+ dollars to do so. That can't be a great feeling, can it? Just my thoughts, but what do I know.
In the end, isn't the talent, skill set, and play savvy of all the players in the team that determines championships regardless of how much you spend?? And 10-15 years ago, you didn't have a Shohei Ohtani or any of the freakishly athletic and talented players you see now that and those that came out at least 5 years ago. Can't compare that era (2005- 2013) to today's baseball, which had grown competitively in exponential terms. Team owners and team management need to spend nowadays. Nothing is free. It's getting the right personnel at the right time that's critical for teams
Could you imagine bitching about your ownership that won a World Series few years ago. I’m a pretty casual baseball fan so correct me if I’m wrong but using red Sox as an example of bad ownership is pretty fucking stupid considering their division and their attempts to at least put a competitive team out there. The draft lottery for baseball is the stupidest shit I’ve ever seen I fucking can’t understand why the did it. “Oh geez how do we punish tanking, how bout we cripple the small market teams doing it and randomize the picks so that they could potentially go to a mid team” I’m a reds fan and I think it’s stupid that we got the #2 overall pick. I ain’t gonna defend owners at all but like I hate to say under new rules, do you seriously think the pirates or say Rockies win a World Series in the next 100 years. I’d bet money against it. Baseball doesn’t need a salary tax but make the luxury tax more punishing. Also, after ohtanis contract make deferred money count towards the tax in full. Ohtani did it and should keep the discount but it’s bullshit if every person did it after. This admittedly is nitpicky tho.
I used the Red Sox, to compare a big market to another big market. Won a world series in 2018, but since then haven’t cared. Numerous opportunities to get better, and they don’t take it. A big market should be able to spend, and make moves.

Must be nice to be able to just buy a 100 win team and not have to play the same tedious team building game 80% of other teams have to
This comment screams crybaby
@luiss.3866 If wanting an even playing field and hating how the game is stacked in favor of a handful of big market teams is being a "crybaby" then so be it. Better than being an arrogant LA fan that doesn't acknowledge his teams unfair advantage. I guess them choking in the playoffs every year will do that to some fans.
Welp just in case the Dodgers end up winning next year they bought a World Series over a billion dollars
yea, thats called professional baseball...Did you just wake up?
You’re reaching on the verlander deal
43 year old got 43M per LMAO
My mam they don’t clam LA dodgers they clam New York dodgers
Blue Jays sucked anyways, they would most likely choke an 8-1 lead. Go Dodgers! 💙
Somehow Boston is always top 10 in payroll 😢
Texas Rangers repeat
6:51 lol you serious? All you have to do is put 18 on the back 😂 nothing fancy. Other teams put their last name. I know Yankees have a reason for that but come on dude 😂
It even fair
4 in 12 years is going to be oke. less than that, means failed
mlb facing the same dilemma as the Premier League...Dodgers looking more like ManCity apart from the wins...
Dude throws shade on the padres because he’s mad about the boegarts signing ! Turd 😢
😂😂🐐 the only one who could figure it out
All this for them to choke in the playoffs
I can’t believe the Dodgers are trying to win so badly 😢
Dodgers are simply that good of an organization!
Kasaki is younger & has a way higher upside than Yamamoto & Juan Soto is lightyears a better hitter than Ohtani.
Yamamoto is 25yrs old little bruh ... LOL
Soto can't hit Ohtani's pitch LOL
Cope.
@@RunForPeace-hk1cu Ohtani is Soto's bitch. And Sp 25 is everyday player 35 little child.
You bums will do what you have done your entire history. Choke when it matters.
Cope.
Judge is the best hitter
@@judge9971 Quite arguably. But don't sleep on Verdugo. That guy can bat .300 in that lineup easily.
And having him followed up by (potentially) Judge, Soto then Dominguez is a potentially lethal order.
Soto sucks....246 .236 .275 avg in last 3 years...haha trash!
I just hope the raucous Dodgers fans behave and play good host for the thousands of Japanese tourists coming over to watch their superstars play.
In other words “😢😢😢”
I think the Dodger players are all for their team turning into Team Japan.
They already won a World Series. Are dodger fans mad because our front office wants to win? No. Love the hate from the world
In the end, isn't the talent, skill set, and play savvy of all the players in the team that determines championships regardless of how much you spend??
@@PurelyBaseballYT ok, that makes sense, but they do play in a top 2 division in terms of difficulty so do u truly blame them.( sorry for getting mad earlier)
probably unsubscribing to your channel...MLB is going to be completely unwatchable....MLB is extremely uncompetitive....why watch it when all it is, is the Dodgers winning 13-2 every night - that's *BORING*
I didn’t even really make much of an opinion lol. I tried to keep mine out of this one 100 percent.
Why would you unsub to the channel? He’s just spreading information. And stop being a hater bro, the dodgers made the money that they spent. They have the right to spend it. I will guarantee you that the dodgers won’t go 162-0, so stop complaining. If anything, the dodgers are making mlb more popular. More casual fans are starting to pay more attention to the game. W Dodgers
Ben knows very little about baseball history...just Ohtani's 😂
Oh, did you get your feelings hurt...boo hoo
Residents around LA will pay for it with higher cable bills.
Your so late to this
Late on Yamamoto signing?! 😭 I posted it at 1 PM 😂😂😂
