Brake pads wear out over time, much like tires, and need replacing, on average, every 50,000 miles, with variations depending on driving habits and environment. Brake rotors may also need to be replaced if they are warped or grooved. Often, it’s safer and more cost effective to replace pads and rotors at the same time. Squealing or grinding noises, or wheel vibration are all symptoms of worn brakes. This video shows you how to install new, quality TRQ brake pads and rotors on your 2017 and up Ford F-350 Super Duty.

You need to grease the seal before installing. It would also make sense to use some high temp grease to grease the bearings until the gear oil will fully supply them when you start driving.

Use axle bearing grease where he uses vaseline and use alot of it. Fill the cavity in where the spring is. Id rather know for a fact that spring wont move then habe to take it apart again. Ive learned the hard way. Done dozens and dozens of these. Also. Instead of going nuts with the impact on the e torx bolts holding rotor to hub I've always gone and torqued those bolts to the same spec as wheel lug nuts. And on this truck should be 150-165. Good luck!

You are taking the chance of damaging the hub seal area by using the pry bar and air hammer. I’ve literally done 1000s of these by using end cut pliers. Easy as pie.
Also a seal driver or a same size piece of tubing works better for seal install.
Not getting those wheels off that easy in the north lol.
Upsets me nobody uses torque wrenches.

I enjoyed the video but the rear axle retaining bolts torque spec is 80 ft lb, not 188! Please fix this in your video or take it down so somebody else doesn't ruin the rear hub like I just did. My fault for not checking the torque specs myself.

I don't tell anyone what to do but, I use a seal tool, rent or borrow or own it,, Second I pack a little grease on my bearings because, I change the diff grease and this way you have a positive lube on the bearings when you roll out, Mind you, I and my buds ease out to a ditch or lean and let the new oil or grease run to each side and then come back and top off. REASON>>> In the early 80's we seen a lot of oilfield company's running these jobs themselves and they was having bearing failure. Being at a Ford garage we questioned the job, What I recommended was not what they did. They actually was running a dry or semi dry bearing to long right of the bat. Axle, not that what you did want work with a Love tap but not recommended. Usually one good deadblow to the center of the axle face will pop that axle right to you, it might take a couple but never the back face of axle. Outboard style drums and or rotors have changed the game A LOT. Hope someone sees a tip or advice hear.

On my 2020 E450 the top caliper bolt can’t come out. The springs are in the way. The only way to replace the brake pads is to remove the bottom caliper slide bolt, pry the caliper up, remove the old pads. Then push the caliper all the way in towards the springs, then lube the slide pin as well as you can. Then put everything back together. How in the hell do I get those top bolts out?

Could you please show me any owners manual, or driving manual which states "Emergency" Brake. I have only seen then officially referred to as "Parking Brakes". I know they can be used in an emergency, but with any Ford Heavy Duty, if I had to use mine while towing a trailer, I know they would not be able to stop the truck in an emergency. You might want to check with your Lawyer to find out if you referring to them as an Emergency brake, if you are exposing yourself to a liability if a person has a crash and they thought you telling them it is an Emergency brake, if you could be held liable for damages suffered.

This video has the wrong title. This is replacement of rotors, not brakes
