Well, it was. In the form of wages and benefits paid to the workers who built these machines. Who in turn spent this earned money on food, housing, etc. in the various communities where they lived, thereby making those particular businesses prosper. Not to mention the return on investment to the shareholders of the defense companies, which includes the mutual funds that may be part of an individual American's 401k retirement plan. But I know what you're saying. It's terrible to think of it in those terms! ;o)

Never ceases to amaze me how you have very lightly loaded cars behind the loco’s (2 Humvee’s with a generator?) with heavy loaded cars, 2 Abraham’s MBT’s midway in the train. My own railroad company would not allow this due to the risk of the lighter loaded cars jumping the rails in an emergency braking situation...
Why does the comments have to get political. Let’s just enjoy seeing a rare train and talk about the equipment and stuff. No need to go so deep.
I agree

@@crippledcrusader1321 Exactly. I was worried they might try to take this and claim it's something else.
Looks like they're headed to the National Training Center (NTC) for some time in the box!
WOW!!!!
That a whole lot of death and destruction compliments of Norfolk Southern R.R...
Now folks this is a perfect example of Socialism as in the Military Industrial Complex kind, imagine if this money was actually spent on Americans

The lag of the playback makes me sick
Gonna take military precision to get that lot offloaded at the other end!
Nice. At least a battalion worth of armor and equipment and support on the move.
That’s not just a battalion, that’s an small militia worth with how many tanks there are.
Mason French A Tank battalion usually has four companies of tanks, each with 14 tanks.
Mechanized Infantry Brigade or battalion. If it were an armored brigade you'd see ten times as many Abrams tanks.
I saw that train in Greensboro
I saw some M109's too
My Amazon order finally being shipped 😂
This was the 30th Armored Brigade Combat Team North Carolina National Guard heading to NTC Rotation @ Ft Irwin, CA. This was 1 of 5 trains IIRC.
OMG
Couple tanks and the 2 dozen fuel trucks it takes to get them started
still have M113s in service.
Fascinating...beautifully done...thanks for your effort.
The longest war
Started by our enemies.
And this isn’t cgi? (Virtual)?
No, its a live camera.
Question: Does a train like this have anyone "extra" riding along in the cab?
This is how we get uninvited insects and snakes incountry
That's serious fire power...
Where's it headed?
The train? Who knows. The cargo? Sooner or later to deliver some bad news to some deserving folks.
Fascinating
are they headed for CA
We sure could use em here in our AZ border.
Heading to the southern border, hopefully.
