Thank you for the video. I really like how you incorporate several small towns into one video and you inform us of the proximity to one another. Thanks again.
I love Flagstaff, been five times. The first time was 1992, very much a railway town, loved hearing and watching those trains thundering through. It's grown considerably since that time. Unfortunately, it's lost some of its character like so many other towns I've visited in the earlier years. Still love the Southwest though. Oldtimer Englishman wishing he was young again.
@@AskiaAniyunwiyah-gh6ve went into the army, then ended up with parents who had moved to Phoenix. The I got into ministry moving around some. Still miss Flagstaff!
I have never been to Arizona, however, it is on my list. I love all the videos you’re showing. Please keep up the small town videos and even places to live or purchase land. It’s such a beautiful place. Thank you for your videos.
Another great guide video. A lot of the places on this video, has been a one time visit for me and the city's main roads are crackling bad (like Tucson) if you have a sport suspension car. Flagstaff is a college town so I avoid going to the downtown district as parking is confusing and Google Maps is usually wrong. But it does have a Starbucks, Chikfila and Dunkin Donuts on Milton Ave near each other if it's a road stop. The great thing about the Flagstaff area for me, is that it is designated a Dark Sky location. There's a lot of pull out outside Hwy 87 and 180, to see the sky and view. And the other great promise of the area, is having your state and national park passes to do sustainable and affordable repeat visits to the area like the Walnut Canyon and Grand Canyon, get some fresh air.
I was watching this video & the whole first half thinking, this guy sounds like the Island Hopper guy, then low & behold, it is you!! Great video, thanks! We've lived in AZ for 20 years and really have never explored Flagstaff, so I guess it's time!!
Boys and I were just up there, I’ve been going there since the 70s. We love Walnut Canyon, the LOA and the Lava Tube. Our last visit we saw more people at the Lava Tube than I’ve ever seen before, and that’s great! Good informative video, thanks for sharing.
@@se6619 Great, thanks for asking! We’re planning a couple more hiking trips, West Clear Creek and Wet Beaver Creek. If you’ve never been I highly suggest both, some of the most beautiful places in our state.
Great video about Flagstaff. Been there a number of times and i think it's Great place to visit. Once again thank you for fantastic videos from Arizona that i can enjoy from back home in Sweden🇸🇪
Visite Flagstaff hace una semana y me parecio una ciudad maravillosa me quede fascinado con sus montañas nevadas sus calles muy limpias y el centro muy bonito. So glad to have found your channel! Very interested in finding out more about cheap land or homes that are out, away from people. Would love videos like that.
I'm not american nor even from the American continents but I vibe with flagstaff. Why? Because spotify told me people from this town shares my music taste. Lol.
Beautiful place. I have driven through Flag a few times and the scenery has been amazing! I should try their downtown soon. There are so many beautiful places in AZ and the USA in general and I am so grateful! 💕 🇺🇸 🏳️🌈
Hey yal as a homeless nomad i visited Flagstaff and i honestly wish i stayed and figured it out . Flagstaff is one of my favorite places in the usa so far right next to spiritual sedona higher in the mountains , everyone's very nice there, and the college students are very very smart i overheard many college students discussing God together. Its a very spiritual spot wherther you believe it or not one of my fav places wish i could move there ♥️
Flagstaff is one of my favorite mountain townes in AZ, so much fun and things to do, don't be turned off by traffic most of it clears up quick, you can always escape to little areas sourounding Flagstaff with less traffic like Kachina/Mountainaire.
Love the summer weather in Flagstaff. Come up for the weekends from Phoenix. What I can't figure out is why are there so many firetruck sirens going off. I have never heard so many in other places. I find it very strange that I don't see hardly any children here. Some weekends, when I come up, I haven't seen any kids. I have never experienced that either in any other city.
Nice tour, thank you for making the video! I’m new to your channel and would love to see more remote areas and small town videos. Have you toured the Riorden Mansion in Flagstaff? I love Flagstaff & am up there most weekends over the summer but our destination is in the Coconino County Forest, off grid. Much different than what’s shown here but realistically not too far away. It’s hard to believe all this is going on while we are enjoying the sounds & views of nature, without even having cell service. Something to know when relocating to AZ from other places is Flagstaff is so much more than it’s local social scene, if that’s not your thing. It has something for everyone, especially if you love camping, hiking, dirt biking, off-roading and even kayaking or fishing at Lake Mary.
From Walnut Canyon you were so close to Grand Falls that you should have visited and mentioned it. It's actually taller than Niagara and when the water is running it's impressive.
Can you make a video about where the best areas to live if you are a horse person? Available equine events, trails, homes with horse activities and access. That would be extremely helpful to many mid westerners retiring in that area. Of course Wickenburg fits that bill, but oh boy is it pricey!
@@steph7115 I was talking to an ultrasound tech who went to school in Tucson and that might be more affordable than Flagstaff. I’m an RVer so I only very seldom had to pay rent and that’s when I go to an RV park. While Flagstaff is a very nice town, it’s expensive.
I always love Flagstaff I'm from West Philadelphia but I moved out to Arizona a few months back I'm in Phoenix now I might want to move to Flagstaff I think it's a little bit cooler as well
We lived in Flagstaff for a Summer. This was 30 years ago, so bare with me. There is a hiking/ mountain bike park (BUFFALO PARK) outside of Flagstaff that I can't remember the name, but we found a pregnant dark purple horny toad under an Arizona Cypress tree. We did pick her up and just examined her for a few seconds and then put her back down so not to disturb her. She was different from the Texas Horny Toad who has many more spikes. She was more smooth and I only remember her having horns and it seemed her skin was quite smooth. Beautiful animal I knew nothing about before and haven't seen one since.
In downtown they have a parking garage or at the end of Beaver st and between San Francisco st there are banks that have paid parking or city hall has paid parking, plenty places to park, enjoy Flag👍
I’m visiting with my best friend from australia and I’d love to drive around, the only problem is we’re both 19. Do you guys have an recommendations for where we can rent or hire a car? Thank you!

LEAVE! A Arizona resident for 51 years, this town truly sucks. Landlord greed is unmatched. University influence is offensive, ridiculous. The 'natives' still with 19th century attitude and mentality. City facing the same problems today as they faced 40 years ago, still unresolved, buried in hapless political rhetoric. The traffic is unreal....other than that...not too bad.
