I want those two years of my life back. Not your fault, though. Thanks for bringing on the doc. And thanks for showing the assembly steps.
I have a V1 Iskur and the lumbar support changed my life...working 9+ hours a day in a sitting position, I started having lower backache and my feet were numb prior to this chair, so yeah, it's a good buy, although it's quite pricy at retail ( I got mine on BF sale for roughly €250)

@@StardustLegacyFighterExactly. Racing seats, which gaming chairs are modeled after, weren't designed for ergonomics or longterm comfort, they're designed to lock you in place so you don't get knocked around while taking corners and bumps at speed. A pair of stiff armrests, a couch pillow and a bit of lumbar support can only go so far to improve the ergonomics.
that... is a secretlabs chair... do people see this too? I lean forward over my desk when concentrating, whether on a game or work. I try to remind myself to sit up straight but start leaning forward as soon as I stop thinking about it.
Simple and effective tips from the doc, thanks for bringin him in and that "your best posture is your next posture" advice is great. I found the same tip a few years ago when looking for a new chair that are designed with that in mind. They are not usually the most comfortable but offer many posture options and encourage you to be active. Those kind of chairs will be my choice whenever possible from now on.
650 dollar chair with a 3 year warranty is pretty bad. You can get into one of the cheaper Herman Millers on sale for that much. Their extended warranty to make it a 5-year at least doesn't cost money, just posting to social media with a picture.
Ngl, looks like the iskur is made right from the same factory that secretlabs uses, or they're using SL as their supplier???? the parts are identical and even the stitching language is basically almost a clone. I assume this is mainly due to same factory but that's REALLY close looks/shape and definitely part wise.
I swear to corner desks where I can sit in the corner and have desk out on both sides of me. A million times better than having to rely on armrests. And if you slouch as much as Hoffman, and I often do, I recommend using the tilt on the chair, rather than only leaning the back. That way your are still kept in the right "angle" and get good support.
To defend the doctor here. He told him to lower his chair so he can give an example of how the angles of the legs are supposed to be and feet fully planted on the ground. When he tells him to raise the chair back up. He's giving him use cases of why foot rests are important in the event desks are too high compared to the user. You can see the foot rest soon after he says this to make up for the lack of height. He's still sitting in the ideal position this way even after raising the height to match the desk.
Because the standard desk height is too goddamn high and I don't understand why. From looking at various desks I noticed most of them are around 74 cm tall, but this is too high. At that height, you have to lift up your chair to the max, which in most cases means you're barely touching the ground with your feet so you also need a footrest. I'm 1.85m tall, so not short by any means.
@@GDRobbye wow, just checked how low my $300 "SHW Adjustable Desk" lowers, and it hits 70.5cm, which seems low enough for a child! I'm 6 foot tall, and my preferred desk height is 75cm. I definitely agree with you that 74cms should not be the absolute minimum for one of these desk; way too high.
If it wasn't green accented I'd maybe buy one, but it only comes in black with green. Also the screws coming pre-installed is an extra step for you since you have to take them out and then put them back in instead of just taking them from the bag.
It's 2024, how is a $650 chair not coming with the rollerblade style wheels?!?! Just generic plastic crap wheels. I put those rollerblade wheels on every chair I use, so smooth and they don't get hung up on the slightest obstacle.
I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve never had any problems with my shoulders or upper back. I’ve always had problems with my lower back. Specifically above my pelvis. I was always at risk for scoliosis or other back problems. Now that I’m older, I’m just dealing with those musculo skeletal issues (related to abdominal defects) The fact I’m 42 and still functioning OK says a lot. I’m just trying to be careful with my lumbar spine right now:-/ I need to not sit most of the time now . I don’t have the luxury of A) a chiropractor B) a massage therapist and C) additional income to ameliorate those issues (swimming is naturally easier on the spine) If I had the money, I would have a standing desk. I realize now a regular sitting desk is just not tenable now
I recently bought a Secret Labs Titan Evo and I'm really shocked at how nearly identical that Razer chair is compared to the Titan Evo. The Titan Evo even has the two knob lumbar support.
Ive had 3 gaming chairs over the years, 2 from secret labs and 1 from dxracer...im done! They are all hard as a rock, my butt literally falls asleep if I sit still in mine for more than 30mins...and they don't last...the armrest on the secret labs all started peeling and cracking, and the pu leather on the seat started peeling away after 2 years...same for the dxracer! ...maybe im just spending way too much time in them? (8hrs minimum a day) ...but with how much they cost I can't keep getting a new 1 every 3 years cause by 3 years they look like someone used them for 10 years! And with the secret labs armrest they don't keep them in stock, and when they are you find out they aren't stocked in the USA and there is only 1 shipping option which was like $30+
Posture is a real thing. I’m with you, I don’t really have any kind of “real” aches and pains, but my lower back KILLS me at times when I try to bend, to the point where I lay down most of the time when I’m not at work (if I can) Just to recuperate and not be in pain later. I really don’t game very much at all. - Most of the time I try to keep my spine straight at work, or lay down for relief (like when I’m watching your video right now, laying down) The only thing that I would love would be an inversion table. Or something that would put me upside down. That way I could straighten out my spine with gravity:-/

I was thinking to get this one but bought the Enki, because I think the Iskur is just a tad stiffer than Enki when I tried them both out which Enki also has another type of leather.. Enki is like "let's chill and play!" type of chair meanwhile Iskur is like "POSTURE! now let's get into it!"
I know we tend to make fun of these EXPENSIVE CHAIRS. Heck I used to but I turned 40 this year and decided to try a Herman Miller Embody and I'M SO GLAD I DID. 1) I'm 6 foot 4 inches tall so this is the FIRST CHAIR THAT FITS MY BODY! 2) My back "problems" are GONE after only 3 months in the Embody. WE SPEND 1/3 OF OUR LIFE SLEEPING, MORE THAN 1/3 WORKING AND THAT MEANS SITTING FOR A LOT OF PEOPLE. *Invest in your Posture*.
This makes my original Iskur that I'm sitting on like a "beta test". The right arm rest is loose since day one and there are no screws I can tighten more, it must be something structural inside. It started squeaking after few months and after 3 years the "leather" is starting to break and it feels like it'll soon completely apart.
Colton is an absolute menace. Gets fired but still shows up to assemble office furniture. Now he's even putting on a lab coat and playing doctor with the staff.
Is it a coincidence that this "doctor" is using the exact same chair being demonstrated in this short circuit?? seems odd that that "doctor", who you haven't suggested was independently sourced, is using the exact same chair. Can you explain? I am happy to be proven wrong, but it looks pretty sus to me.
Hey , @ShortCircuit I'm a 5'1" person and I weigh about 150 lbs (70 kg) and I'm very interested in the Iskur V2. My chair is a very basic office chair that I've been using for more than 10 years. Would the Iskur V2 suit me if I pair a footrest with it as well ? Or even without the footrest ?
I bought this chair couple months ago and its super comfy and nice looking that being said the lumber might make squeaking noises I had to replace 4 times to get one thats silent so beware lol
Counter-Disclaimer: A lot of doctors dont know what they're doing either but their training helps them understand enough to work out the guts of the problem and teach themselves the rest. We're all winging it.

I bought the iskur v1 based on your review, and it's possibly the worst chair ive ever used, and i've had 2 pistons fail even though im not past the rated support weight. razer's RMA was also not a pleasant experience.
I paid 1500 for my herman miller and i don’t regret it. Yes it’s expensive but i sit more than 30h per week on it. So it better be good for me. Im not 20 anymore :-)
Hello, I know I probably won't get answers but ok, I'm 1.93 meters tall and I would like to know about a good chair because everything I try seems to be small.
lmao, a doctor not bought by razer would first tell you to ditch the gaming chair, they are horrible for your back, they dont have the correct shape since its cheaper to buid them flat and add something that attempts to be lumbar support.
The razer iskur was the worst chair I've bought. Super uncomfortable, broke the poorly made weld where the gas piston meets the base of the chair in the first year. I got the base warrantied but the chairs wooden side/base broke a month after, im about 100 lbs under the weight limit also. Dont waste your money on this or any razer product really they have all broke on me😣
yeah, this V2 exactly fixes the awful glaring problem with the V1. We have the V1 here in the house, and no one wants to use it except they gave it to my niece. First two seconds I sat on one, it's exactly obviuosly the no lumbar support. You are better off sitting on a cheap PVC plastic chair for a couple of dollars. This brand needs to go away.
Iskur v1 is not comfortable (fake leather version). The seat cushion is extremely hard and I keep slipping forward and end up in a slouched position after a few minutes.

Go touch some grass dude, the doctor not even mentions the specifics of the chair, I could use ALL his tips with my 7years old Corsair, exactly as he Said. ALL these gaming chairs look the same... He wasnt there as a Razer spokeperson, he was as a Doctor, and he was Very helpful, that what IS important.@@julfy_god
@@Squirrel-ts7bb All of that just so he cant be sued. Still the fact that a Doctor uses such a gaming chair is misleading and should create the thought that this is a good chair, which many of the viewers think (see the comment section)
man after doing the arm rest posture check my previously used height of the arm rests feel wrong now, i guess that doctor was totally legit.
What?! I came for a chair review and also got a few pointers on proper chair height. Turns out I had been setting my old Iskur chair at the wrong height for the last two years.
Dr. Hwu needs his own tv serie, where he travels around and save victims of bad posture 🤗
I'm down
wow the doctor is using a razer chair too.... that seems legit... unless razer sent him one for video too lol I got secretlab, they are rock hard, but otherwise okay i guess. Leaves a lot to be desired for sure.
its the doctor Razer paid to be in all of their marketing for the chair so you know... grain of salt and all that.
Well, if you ever decide to change out your chair, look for an ergonomic office chair, instead of a gaming chair with a silly racing style seat.
Those racing style seats ruined my hip, don't use them.
@@StardustLegacyFighterExactly. Racing seats, which gaming chairs are modeled after, weren't designed for ergonomics or longterm comfort, they're designed to lock you in place so you don't get knocked around while taking corners and bumps at speed. A pair of stiff armrests, a couch pillow and a bit of lumbar support can only go so far to improve the ergonomics.
i actually really like colton on camera. he has immensely grown on me (and presumptively gotten so much better at hosting/appearing)
that... is a secretlabs chair... do people see this too? It has it all, the shape, the areas of different fabrics, the little RAZER tag on the shoulder, the knobs for the adjustments, all of it, even the mechanism... Im not being hyperbolic when i say that is simply a rebranded secretlabs chair with a custom lumbar support added
12:00 Isn't it Parallel to the floor and Perpendicular to the lower leg?
I lean forward over my desk when concentrating, whether on a game or work. I try to remind myself to sit up straight but start leaning forward as soon as I stop thinking about it.
Nah - Y'all gotta try the Razer Iskur V2. The tilt mechanics and lumbar support system is different from other gaming chair brands.
Love how he praised the predone screws then immediately had to do twice the work you normally would if you just screwed in loose ones.
Lewis Hamilton told me, i don't need a car seat in my gaming loft....
Honestly, really cool that you had an actual doctor on to talk about it
He has a Doctorate, but he's technically not a MD.
8:43 - doc starts by getting him to lower chair - immediately puts it back up...
"my sitting posture is not so good" immediately corrects my own sitting posture
It's 2024, how is a $650 chair not coming with the rollerblade style wheels?!?! Just generic plastic crap wheels. I put those rollerblade wheels on every chair I use, so smooth and they don't get hung up on the slightest obstacle.
I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve never had any problems with my shoulders or upper back.
I’ve always had problems with my lower back. Specifically above my pelvis.
I was always at risk for scoliosis or other back problems.
Now that I’m older, I’m just dealing with those musculo skeletal issues (related to abdominal defects)
The fact I’m 42 and still functioning OK says a lot. I’m just trying to be careful with my lumbar spine right now:-/
I need to not sit most of the time now . I don’t have the luxury of
A) a chiropractor
B) a massage therapist
and
C) additional income to ameliorate those issues (swimming is naturally easier on the spine)
If I had the money, I would have a standing desk. I realize now a regular sitting desk is just not tenable now
Doc spoke about posture super realistically. Appreciate that
"The best posture is your next posture" is an incredible important advice for preventing all kinds of orthopedic illnesses
And with the secret labs armrest they don't keep them in stock, and when they are you find out they aren't stocked in the USA and there is only 1 shipping option which was like $30+
Don't forget to check info description where it says *Colton* is not an actual doctor
He never claimed to be?
Posture is a real thing.
I’m with you, I don’t really have any kind of “real” aches and pains, but my lower back KILLS me at times when I try to bend, to the point where I lay down most of the time when I’m not at work (if I can)
Just to recuperate and not be in pain later.
I really don’t game very much at all.
- Most of the time I try to keep my spine straight at work, or lay down for relief (like when I’m watching your video right now, laying down)
The only thing that I would love would be an inversion table. Or something that would put me upside down. That way I could straighten out my spine with gravity:-/
It’s good to see Colton once again get out of probationary period for 65th time of being rehired
Looks just like every other "copy, paste" gaming chair.. Buy an office chair or executive chair if you're looking for comfort :D
Never again so called gaming chairs. This is one of them
Colton looks like a guy who has stolen a doctor’s coat, so he can sneak into a hospital and murder a patient.
Colton's gonna be driving his shitbox and one day see a sign that says "merge to the 2 parallel left lanes" and he's gonna turn into oncoming traffic. Get this man off the roads and into math 101.
😂😂😂😂
8:50 this is the problem with most desks. They designed for writing on a piece of paper, not for pc with keyboard and mouse.
Colton, Professional Sitter
Probably breaks 2 days after the warranty is up, like every other Razer product.
Is that a Razer recommended doctor? Because he is sitting in a Razer chair. 👀
I wasn’t excepting to learn about posture today, good stuff!
He's literally in one of Razer's promotional videos about this chair, lol.
Hope they fixed the piston. Mine stopped staying up after less than a year.
Really liked having the doctor on - posture is something I should pay more attention to.
I think office chairs are better than gaming chairs.
Counter-Disclaimer: A lot of doctors dont know what they're doing either but their training helps them understand enough to work out the guts of the problem and teach themselves the rest. We're all winging it.
Posture Potter is very catchy
This started like a short circuit but ended like a main channel video
oh...its only $2118 AUD on amazon.
This is not a knock on LTT, but is there any chance you can do this with something more "cost of living" friendly?
Doctor's advice was a good thing though. Thank you.
extended cut of the doctor interview fpexclusive when
Just buy steelcase or HM
it's not 4D! The correct term is 4 axes adjustment. I don't know if Razer marketing decided on this name or what but it is the wrong term.
I bought the iskur v1 based on your review, and it's possibly the worst chair ive ever used, and i've had 2 pistons fail even though im not past the rated support weight. razer's RMA was also not a pleasant experience.
This chair or titan evo for comfort ?
Nothing beats a good office chair. You pay a lot for the word "gaming" in a "gaming chair".
I find you typically pay a lot more for the word "office" than you do for the word "gaming" when it comes to chairs.
@@8bithavok
Maybe for the warranty. Office chairs typically offer 10-15 years of warranty compared to something like this Razer chair at 3 years.
Not really, generally it's a discount. Office chairs are far better - but are expensive
I paid 1500 for my herman miller and i don’t regret it. Yes it’s expensive but i sit more than 30h per week on it. So it better be good for me. Im not 20 anymore :-)
@@El_duderino87 I wish I could afford a Herman Miller but I'm stuck with this awful secretlab. I'll at least be getting an Aeron at work soon though
Hello, I know I probably won't get answers but ok, I'm 1.93 meters tall and I would like to know about a good chair because everything I try seems to be small.
these gaming chairs are the opposite of ergonomic
This looks exactly the same as a noblechairs hero, i assume they must source from the same location unless its some other partnership.
So when is the budget chair episode coming? No one's got 700 to spend on a chair
omg its colton!!
lmao, a doctor not bought by razer would first tell you to ditch the gaming chair, they are horrible for your back, they dont have the correct shape since its cheaper to buid them flat and add something that attempts to be lumbar support.
Is it sturdy enough for two people to sit on it at the same time?
It's always fun to see Colton again... and that he still has a job. Haha!
I feel like this is Redditor simulator. "The doctor told me this so now I'm an expert and I can tell you how you're wrong"
Iskur v1 is not comfortable (fake leather version). The seat cushion is extremely hard and I keep slipping forward and end up in a slouched position after a few minutes.
The doctor said "for the next 2.5 hours" like it was big meanwhile me hitting the 12 hour mark as I am commenting and waiting in queue for my next battle in war thunder
Don't know how to feel about having the "DR" on that is on Razers advertisment page
dang that interlacing is nutty. did anyone mention this to the nice doctor?
Those talking points make it sound like colton assembles chairs for a living.
Not trying to be rude. But this was one of the most helpful videos out of LMG for a while lol
sure wish they make xl versio of this one and make pillow magnetic or then secretlab to copy their pillow and back
