- We'll look at a Husqvarna 550xp chainsaw with bar oiling issues but this video covers many common oiling problems that you can check on your saw. We will also look at a new tool I picked up. #smallenginerepair

Good video Scott! Loved when you were explaning the tool to your workmate... I think you should wait until your 5th or 6th beer to narrate a video sometime. That would be interisting! - Steve
A few of my older videos were done that way. If you see me smiling a lot I'm probably lit up.
From Central Florida I like your videos cause you don’t BS about everything in the world. Thanks for the good videos.
Thanks for watching!
That’s the fanciest greasy shop rag yet. Embroidered on one end and frilly on the other end. Lol. Oh and nice new tool!
Lol, ya I guess thats a fancy one.
Great video, always bringing up pointers like the kill switch. Hopefully customer will take better care of his saw. Thanks for showing the new tool.
I started carrying a small disposable paint brush, to sweep all the sawdust away from the fuel and oil caps. Helps me keep from knocking debris into the tanks during filling .
I'm thinking I may add more new tools as they come along.
@@TheGreasyShopRag that would be great. Right now deciding between cheaper plug heli coil and more expensive. On a budget.
Follow the budget till you can afford better. The original cheap tool then works as a backup. @@steveriggenbach90
@@TheGreasyShopRag thanks been doing where I can. Got three items with bad coils. I’m going to try and rejuvenate them. Probably won’t but can’t hurt to try.
I like the part with your left hand on the kill switch. I had that happen to me once. Never again! I remove the spark plug and move the boot away from the plug hole!
I've found the plug has to stay in or you'll have to put your thumb over the hole so there is enough compression for the impact to hammer.
I never open the fuel or oil cap without using a toothbrush on them first. 40 years and never had an oiler issue.
Thats good practice and has certainly paid off.
I have a 550 the whole oil system is far better than my 357, great video.
I agree. Thanks for watching!
I’ll make a mental note, pretty simple tear down n reassembly on mk2
Ya they're pretty easy to wrench on.
Another happy customer off to the wood 🪵 yard 😊.
Thanks for watching!
Excessive "fines" in saw chips can be indicative of dull cutters or high depth gauges. Its a higher level saw, right? Probably has an ajustable oil rate screw in the bottom; not that it would matter if the feed tube is clogged. Neat new tool!
I felt weird talking about it because I know there are dudes out there that actually know the proper use of it. Beats using a punch and hammer.
Morning Brother Excellent Repair as Always 😊😇👍🏼
Good Morning
I may have to get that tool...
Thank you ! Great information
Thanks for tuning in!
Great fix, Scott.
Thanks!
Good work. Best regards from Poland
Thanks for watching!
Good work bud...👍
Thanks!
Scott, do you always use loctite when reinstalling oil pump screws?
Yes. The factory uses it and so do I.
Pretty work as always, see ya next time!
Thanks for tuning in!
Thanks for the video and the suspense thanks again for the video
When I watch a video I don't really care to be strung along till the end for a special segment. I know thats how they get you to watch the whole video but I'm not about that. Would that tool "review" have been ok in the middle of the video or do you think it would have distracted from the actual content? Thanks.
Great as always! Thanks!
You're too kind. Thanks for watching!
I was listening to this on way home from work. If I’m working on a saw, would you always dump it out to inspect?
Not always. Sometimes a nice clean golden bar oil and a strong flashlight allow inspection to the bottom of the tank.
@@TheGreasyShopRag thank you. An 445 fyi. Haven’t touched but left on paper bag. It has became normal with some bar oil under it. Still nothing like it was doing
🔥🔥🔥👍😁
What’s the piece called that takes the clutch off

Good job
Thanks for watching!
Dude u seem chill I wish we could go for a motorcycle ride together I ride a sweet 2001 klr 650
You’re no nonsense don’t ask for money knowledgeable non biased class act 👍🏽
I spent 2 weeks on the Blue Ridge Parkway riding a KLR. I liked the bike but it was a little tall for me.@@jonathanfierberg3807
hope you charged the owner of the saw double price for such neglect
We charge by the hour, not by the job so if I spend time cleaning then they get billed for it.
@@TheGreasyShopRag just sad to see people who abuse and neglect such nice saw. a saw the many people like me can't afford
@@robert4027 Agreed. thanks for taking the time to comment.
