- Hey Slashers,
I was on RUclips watching guitar videos and I found one of my old favorites when Slash and Zakk Wylde' are playing Voodoo Child. Really cool stuff and I caught a lick in the beginning that Slash does. Got me inspired a lot and I thought it's worth breaking it down
I wanted to address beginners as this one is not difficult at all, but everyone is more than welcome to use it if this is something new to you and I hope you'll like it.
Some Quick Tips:
-To achieve the best sound focus on your phrasing and try to nail those 1/4 bends ( ATTITUDE BENDS ) , that really makes the whole thing Slashy AF.🎩
-Create the Vibe with those bends and add some rattling nasty vibratos to it! 🐍

Had to slow to 0.25x @ 0:42-0:45 to confirm Sweet Child run.. some play w/ index switching from initial position on E12 to B15 pull off to B12, & some bar E12/B12 for efficiency.. do you prefer one way over another?
Yeah usually that fast lick can be a 3 finger solution but if there is a figure follows that requieres another finger positioning that works great too. Good to know how to utilize licks with different finger positions. Using pinky too but being comfortable with 3 fingers as well.

Hi! Very nice playing, man! What rig do you use to get this tone? Is almost 100% the same as Slash's.
Hey man I been looking for someone to do it and I've yet to find someone who is good enough, can and is willing to draw up some tabs or make a video lesson for the 1st Ritz Nightrain Solo. I know you like helping your followers and I know you could do it justice that others wouldn't. It's so different than the album and the epic bend and improv in the middle is why I love guitar so much... I would love to learn it but I'm not proficient enough yet to map it out for myself. Id be massively grateful for video explaining it if you find the time... Thanks either way for the work you already do.

Hi Shahrook! Everything is in the Code 50. Simple settings. I don't even think there is delay here probably reverb only!

What are the most common ways Slash ascends from low to high?

Hey Adir! I dont have the code connected to a software or cloud or anything like that, it is the 2555 amp, 1960v cab selection, and then the knobs Gain is not too high about 3-4, Bass is about 4-5, MIddle 10, Treble 4-5, Volume 10, Master volume is just right below where they would call the police on me.
Anyone knows which pedals he use to get this tone?
