seeing pictures of Angus in 76, I would think what kind of SG is he playing? It's Huge ! Then saw them open for Cheep Trick in 77, not a big SG,,, a little Angus, running around with a smoking book bag, On Fire. The 1st and best concert I ever went to. Thanks R.B.

That's why I have always loved; "If Ya Want Blood" live album. I dig his playing so much that I stole nearly all of his licks off that live album! Yes great stuff, the 1st band I played with at 13, it was so obvious they took to calling me "Angus" - & most of them were in their 20's. (Just saying - not bragging)

Right on Vincent...I was 13 in 1978...I would sit in my room for hours and hours moving the needle back and forth and learned most of the album...I still remember starting with The Jack and Whole Lotta Rosie...I was proud of myself when I learned Rosie note for note...Cheers Vincent...

I forget what band it was back in the day, but the guitar player said Angus's guitar playing sounded like a toilet flushing, I doubt that band is still around while ACDC stands the test of time Awesome rock band, Legends!😎

Good explanation, and it would be even be more helpful if you would explain how the bends go up to chord tones and the root, and the double stops are chord tones as well.

So on Angus’ icon descending run(s), you always start with an upstroke-is that the way he does it, or personal preference? I find it makes a noticeable difference when starting up vs down. (Gotta nail those details!)

Moving sucks. It's why I do not like having lots of stuff, and also why I keep the packaging of stuff I buy.
I had to move last year while I was having assessment for a second round of spinal surgery they have decided I should be having soon. Freaking nightmare doing a bit of packing and cleaning every day for weeks, and I was too proud to ask family for help, even though I am 53 with a serious injury. Duh.
My DAW and amps are all set up now, and I treated myself to a super comfy recliner chair. Now I just have to find a way to reduce the RF noise here, because it's pretty bad when using hi-gain (hiss when the noise gate opens).
I am thinking I need a Rhoads guitar now too. Easier to shred sitting down, because that chopped off Flying V wing area will fit nice on the super plush arm rest (I had the polka dot style one made by the guy who makes them for Zakk, but I could not play that sitting down -- neck and frets were amazing good though).

Moving is brutal even when you’re in perfect shape. Doing so when your health is making life tough is over-the-top horrible.
Like you…I’ve been trying to purge myself nmeeded crap out if utter terror of having to move. (PS hint….you may be able to find cheap help through a college job borax, etc).
There’s a book called The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning.
“Swedish death cleaning is a method of organizing and decluttering your home before you die to lessen the burden of your loved ones after you've passed. Usually older people or those battling a terminal illness partake in Swedish death cleaning”
But of course the basic concepts are valuable to put into action at any age or stage!
      Hope you survived the move.

Aquila: I feel for ya, dude. I hate moving also, but I have lots of stuff. I'll have to try keeping the boxes that things come in, lol. (I already do for anything I might have to send to get serviced.)
I had neck surgery in Dec 21 (3 vertebrae fused), it took a whole year before I could play my electric guitar, bc I couldn't stand the strap (even though it was comfortable).
And, I'm a few years older than you.
But hang in there! Do what ya need to do to take care of yourself.

Did Angus play through a Marshall?
    I'm not too AC/DC familiar.
And I've been a Fender guy for a bit. Never played, but like, the SG sound. Is it true they're neck heavy?
Oh, and by the way... good lesson!

    • @bobramirez588

      Thanks for the reply, Bob!
I am also a "Bob." It must have been at least 10 years ago when they had a *"Bob Convention"* in Atlantic City. I should have gone as I'm only a little over an hour away but I got lazy. I think something like 5,000 Bobs showed up. How cool was that!
Thanks for the SG tip on the neck diving. I'm going to have to start eye-balling these closer, maybe add to the collection. I've got numerous Teles, a few Strats, and a few more like an Aria, JBs, etc. You'd think from my collection I'm a helluvaplayer.
Sadly... it's a mirage. Still working at it at 71 but the arthritic hands are slowing me down now.
I like that SG sound though. Might have to get me one.
      Thanks again!
