BY FAR the BEST Dota 2 youtuber right about now. I always try to catch your streams and always watch all your videos! Hope you keep enjoying what you do!!
You are one of the Dota 2 Content creators that are very informative and knows really the fundamentals of the game. Very happy to see you growing your channel and as a person. Have watched every video you made!
I came back to play Dota after 1-2 years, i was 4900 mmr when i drop Dota, now i recalibrate at 4300 mmr and in 2 months i climb to 5650 and became immortal for the first time and playing pos 3-4. I changed my mindset to not stress about losing games or toxic team and just enjoy the game. I also play less games than before, only when i feel like i want to play.
Ty for trying to spread advice and making the community healthier. I think people would enjoy playing the game more, and be kinder to each other if they think as you do!
I agree with this big time. Recently won hundreds of solo mmr just by having fun, coming in with a fresh and ready perspective on every game. Its really important!
I always love your videos and the way you explain is just straightforward and very informative. I would like to watch a small IO tips, late game itemization and any good IO tips.
Yes pls this will be very interesting coming for an Io spammer. Maybe include pros actual approach to the hero as Save from BB in late games. Even a break into the carry Io potential this patch 🤔 haven't try it yet, but theoricly is in the best spot since ti9 legendary Ana performance
Crazy I got legend rank way back when legion came out and I played from the time I got home from work to 12am every night. Wasn't good, broke my PC and raged at every loss. Every since I became a home owner and father I've been slowly grinding up from crusader maybe 1-2 ranked matches a day. I've noticed I'm making better decisions and having more fun. Soon I will b at 8k
Veno is also my go to hero right now. Besides this, my mindset right now is if i'm not in the mood to play or i suddenly feel don't like playing, i won't play multiplayer at all. that's it. i don't want to grief my team by playing while being tilted or not in the mood. I may be in lower rank and my climb was slow, but i managed to to get from 3.8k mmr last year to 4.5k right now. cool down if you need a break from a tilt. if you're in a big losing streak, take a short break.
Ok, where can I watch you play some IO? I'm very curious, since I'm a spammer. Bet it ain't as good as mine XD But I'm just about 500 mmr, I only play turbo.
Story of my Dota life. I gain divine with heroes im good. I start playing multiple heroes, because I m bored of playing only a few heroes. I drop to ancient 3. Goes like this over years 😅
I love your content bro, Please do an IO guide, I play pos5 abbadon & I don't know which healer to pick when he gets banned. I went from Herald to Archon in a few months 😊
While I do appreciate these videos for the people that need a morale boost, the only real way to really gain mmr is getting better at mechanics. Dota does a really poor job of explaining things(specifically in patches) as well as some pros who make videos. Most people learn the best when they get visual aids and explaining what to do in certain situations. I've yet to see and would like to, live gameplay where someone talks about what they're doing and what their mindset is. I don't think I've ever seen anyone do that(Probably because they don't want to give away things they know i.e. Gatekeeping). A quote from an old fan of InkDota - "You either get it or you don't"
I’d like to point out something. Since the switch to Glicko 2 means the amount of time you spend inactive matters to your MMR as well as (actually more) to your rank confidence. In short it is much better for your rank, AND your health to have 5 wins over 5 days than 5 wins in one day. In 2017, I did a small research into pro players pub habits (during when dota pro seasons had downtime). The pros that had above 50% winrates weren’t playing more than 9 games a day. And the pros that had 65%+ weren’t playing more than 5. Stop playing so much. You don’t need to be playing 10 hours a day.
Much more sound advice than some RUclipsr who was trying to teach us how to win with griefing team mates at low level when the video shows his team literally not griefing

3:36 As a support player I can't believe the audacity of carry player saying im useless when I leave him alone for 30 second and he die because of overconvidence your role is one thing in early game go last hit and dont die meanwhile im warding pulling creep contesting rune helping mid etc and when they die Im the useless one
i’m getting paired with multiple griefers and feeders in my team every single game and i got dropped from 4200 to 3500 recently . there is just nothing i can do any advice for me ? i’m really getting sick of this unfair coordination
The problem I face in 2k is everyone wants to pick support. If I then pick core they just afk slightly out of exp range or even worse in exp range or actively stealing farm and pushing the land
If u think ure Teammates are the problem, u should reflect again. In a single match, u may lose caus of ur teammates, in long team, i dont rank up because of u. Remeber, enemy team has the same skilled or non skilled players as u have, so improving urself will make the difference.
As someone who's stuck in that bracket for years, I can give u a few tips (I'm ancient 3 nowadays btw playing from Sea/Japan server mostly with 4.2k mmr or something hehe I played last month so I don't remember) 1. if u know it's a losing fight, don't chain feed (this is the most important since in archon-legend bracket they tend to 1v5 or 2v5 the enemy team if they stomped them early on) so if ur a support near that person or another core, don't chain feed 2. Know and Wait for timings and be patient (2nd important since all heroes have strength and weaknesses which fall off later in the game or come by later in the game, like laning phase, early game, mid game, and late game) like if ur a WR mid and super tilted at storm mid since he owned u mid 3-0 then stop trying to kill him without ur orchid or anything that prevents him to escape, play safe farm because he once u get ur orchid he's shit until he buys another defensive item or getting helped with his supps, so til then wait) 3. Hero pool (3rd important as u will know when ur hero can be strong hitter but fragile, weak hitting but strong spell, strong as a tank but weak hit but strong skill... As a matter of fact all of these depends on your enemy and how u itemized, coz surely when ck 1 and pudge 5 and u as offlane timber surely u know how much damage u can do to these strength heroes right? Or as dawn 3 surely u have a higher kill potential at lvl 2 right? if ur not a dawn timber/dawn spammer u won't know that... Using the same heroes over and over again will help ur laning phase super well... I advise having 3-4 heroes (although if ur a classic player like me who plays 1-5 roles I have 18 hero pools for each role) Although I have many more but as an ancient player I can't give u more since it depends mostly on the draft, timing, how ur enemies play, etc... (btw I'm ancient 3 but still ranking up tho hahahaha ancient 2 last month... it's hard being a grown up as like the video says u can only play few games in a few weeks)

@@yyldlawi-an3789 Any of the tips you give are to advanced and most new players would need more information about concepts they don't understand yet like itemmization. Also you are writing terribly convoluted. I am not even sure if I understood half of what you wanted to convey.
"I'm not here to say you should ONLY play 4-5 games a day" Me who since growing up can only manage to find time for 2-3 games every few days Jokes aside great video, grats on 8k
as a player who started as a crusader and now im on divine yes i agree on playing only 1-3 hero (1-5 for me) we dont have to master every hero on game just play few and master them and ull rank up faster (i have Bhunter 1.7+ match , invoker couple hundred and rubic couple of hundred ) saddly im on sea server cant help it no matter how good u ull drop quick xD SP mention for support role like me :(
yea one time i have lc in my team and feed monkey duels like crazy 100 dmg i was pudge vs mega with my team and good mental they start threw fight 1 by 1 idiots some times even if u are losing the enemy team will get greedy thats how we win so just play and dont gave up try calm your team least 1-2 trust me u will it work with crossing finger but if u lose u will lose only 25mmr not your life thu win the same so
I was divine in 2k15, dropped the game due to an chronic illness. Coming back I was unlucky with Disconnects/Abandons and weak IRL teammates that I love. They just aren't that invested and they mostly play ranked for the thrill. I got Crusader and fell to guardian 2. Now I'm almost back to Crusader 1
Like the content but something about the voice... sounds super scripted, robot reading. I even wonder If it would be better if it was just an AI voice instead...
i've been doing this recently battling with my own thought that i make that mistake what should i do next and sometimes i was clueless like how to solve it and im trying noticing my mistake more often because of this and i know how to exactly play watching this video makes me wanna more learn about myself gameplay thanks man
If you win so much at 8K with venomancer, that means you’re 10k if you’d play actually good heroes. So now 2K players listen to you how to get out of their low rank: 1. 2K player listens to the guide 2. Chooses to play venomancer 3. Drops to 1K 😂
Bro all your suggestions are so good. Been playing dota2 for quite some time and I will incorporate your advice in order for me to grind even more. Thanks! great content.
I also agree about the heroes. But personally I know how to play well about 10 heroes and I played about 25 in total. Sometimes meta changes, heroes are banned or you face certain counters, so you have to have something on your sleeve. Many heroes can be OP, but it depends how they are played. For example I've made a huge impact with enchantress, even mid, by creating my own build. Think outside the box and don't copy what the pro players do in tournaments, those are completely different games. I play a lot of stupid shit on mid, but with WR I have about... 90% win rate, even 10 games in a row. Why? I played it a lot and watched a lot. I started to do the same thing with Storm Spirit, but I watched top players, downloading their games using the codes from the website, in order to see every laning stage possible they had and how they were dealing with. Storm vs every possible hero there is.
I did NOT realize you're a veno spammer. That's disgusting AF. As your fellow who just hit 5k also spamming the same hero, I will now join and follow your stream to learn more about it ❤❤
one night when I was playing pos4 (my usual) on rubick. my pos3 picked enigma. he couldn't lane and kept feeding and going back to lane to feed again. he blamed it on me. we lost the game. he was matched with me again for the next game. same thing pos 3 enigma with 20 mins blink dagger and mana boots. lost again. i took a 15 min break and came back. guess who was matched with me again. this happened 4 times in a row even when i took breaks and waited so he gets into a game. same guy same shit. 120 mmr lost as if someone in Valve was fucking me over. if i knew where this pos 3 of mine lived I would have killed him that night
Personally i just stopped playing all together since act 3 came out, sick of the game tbh had more role abusers and ruiners than sane people since crownfall released.
as an almost 37y old dude with family and duties yea i get u. Nowdays i just go to dota for fun with some old friends we mainly go to turbo. i left ranks like 3y ago cant farm mmr to me you need to be at peak, if not you will lose more than wins. so i just get in log some turbo and if i get 2 or 3 BIG L i go to bed happy anyway lol.
Ye Dota is a menace to mental i got a mag pos 3 who missed 3 rps in a row And than went afk farm untill we Lost the game And i am the one getting reported for explaining him why we are loosing And what he should do without calling his mom out or sth

yeah, speeed and gameleap sucks
Even tho it works as well. Gained almost a 1000 MMR with Razor and Kunkka once they where OP. Just pick the boken heros in ur favorite Role.

Veno jungle is op
Dota content been very good lately very nice
How does he make his owm health bar white
can u make a Bounty hunter guide? my friends want to play the hero but he is so bad at it lol
I play ranked mmr with friend to take a break. Im not sure is that the best decision but it was fun I guess.
Usually it's addiction that makes you play. If you really need to scratch the itch to play despite being too tired, just play unranked/turbo.
I played 1-3 games a day when i started then become at least 5 when i cut classess sometimes and i play at least 2 games. Day
I played evem i am tired, hungry, thirsty that was bad
I usually get headache and eye strain
Now I only play when i got free time and conditioned even if i have a whole weekend of free time i would not play if i am not in best conditioned
I play when I'm in mood and it helps me win games like before it was maximum of 5 winstreak then go on losstreak greater than 5 maybe 15 losstreak
Now I could go to 7- 10 winstreak
And if go on 2-3 lossess i assess my gameplay and take a brake and thingking how could i do better
This is so true i did the same
This is the winning mindset
Back then when i play ranked i got nervous and i think how am i gonna win this, relying on luck and opponents mistake
And now I always say to myself that i don't plan on losing
I am at my peak, I am unstoppable
If I gonna lose That is a close game
Its just the enemy have better teamwork than we do
No more excuses unless my allies griefed so much
That is something i can't control
But it is unlikely you will queued up you will encounter trash teammates more than 3 in a row
What we could do is focus in ourselves don't blame, instead suggest and encourage them to do better as we had the same goal is to win
Make the important calls and they will likely to follow you
Defend your base like it is the best Dota in your life every day
Win easy lose hard is the best trade you can get as you can feel you are unstoppable best feeling ever
Win hard and lose easy is the worst you feel like your pathetic severe mental exhaustion
Win hard and Lose Hard is somewhat manageable and it is a sign that you are unstable barely winning 50/50 situation
Also moderatel mental exhaustion
the most pma content in dota

As a matter of fact all of these depends on your enemy and how u itemized, coz surely when ck 1 and pudge 5 and u as offlane timber surely u know how much damage u can do to these strength heroes right? Or as dawn 3 surely u have a higher kill potential at lvl 2 right? if ur not a dawn timber/dawn spammer u won't know that... Using the same heroes over and over again will help ur laning phase super well... I advise having 3-4 heroes (although if ur a classic player like me who plays 1-5 roles I have 18 hero pools for each role)
Although I have many more but as an ancient player I can't give u more since it depends mostly on the draft, timing, how ur enemies play, etc...
I am not even sure if I understood half of what you wanted to convey.
what server are u playing at?
Good question
peru
"I'm not here to say you should ONLY play 4-5 games a day"
Me who since growing up can only manage to find time for 2-3 games every few days
Jokes aside great video, grats on 8k
So am I still allowed to play stoned?🤔😪
next goal is to reach 8k mmr to play together :P
Hope I can reach Divine, wish me luck
What region does u play?
dude you sound like the youtuber "think before you sleep" the voice is similar in tone.
as a player who started as a crusader and now im on divine
yes i agree on playing only 1-3 hero (1-5 for me)
we dont have to master every hero on game just play few and master them and ull rank up faster
(i have Bhunter 1.7+ match , invoker couple hundred and rubic couple of hundred )
saddly im on sea server cant help it no matter how good u ull drop quick xD
SP mention for support role like me :(
yea one time i have lc in my team and feed monkey duels like crazy 100 dmg i was pudge vs mega with my team and good mental they start threw fight 1 by 1 idiots some times even if u are losing the enemy team will get greedy thats how we win so just play and dont gave up try calm your team least 1-2 trust me u will it work with crossing finger but if u lose u will lose only 25mmr not your life thu win the same so
Very interesting
nice
based from exp just play core because most of the time your core gonna svck anyway.
5 minutes games 0:47 kinda suspicious
do a video with io
HOW !!!
oh this advice is for high ranks, for people who actually play the game, and its not filled with greefers, trolls and smurfs
I miss the point, i think i cnt watch it while eating my dinner
yeah keep playing so you can give it all back to manipulated mm ranking algorithm
this is true. Stop beig no-life mmr gainers
me watching 1.3k for 3 years :(
3k -4k for 10 years
hell no veno is not that good .
That ward placing at 3:10 was just🤑🤑
"I climbed from Divine 1 to Immortal in just 2 months. Your advice and videos are so helpful."
im noting this amazing advices, have a wonderful journey ❤
I was divine in 2k15, dropped the game due to an chronic illness. Coming back I was unlucky with Disconnects/Abandons and weak IRL teammates that I love. They just aren't that invested and they mostly play ranked for the thrill. I got Crusader and fell to guardian 2. Now I'm almost back to Crusader 1
Like the content but something about the voice... sounds super scripted, robot reading. I even wonder If it would be better if it was just an AI voice instead...
i've been doing this recently battling with my own thought that i make that mistake what should i do next and sometimes i was clueless like how to solve it
and im trying noticing my mistake more often because of this and i know how to exactly play watching this video makes me wanna more learn about myself gameplay thanks man
If you win so much at 8K with venomancer, that means you’re 10k if you’d play actually good heroes. So now 2K players listen to you how to get out of their low rank:
1. 2K player listens to the guide
2. Chooses to play venomancer
3. Drops to 1K 😂
This is actually good advice. I've also climbed from legend to divine just by spamming oracle, veno, and hoodwink
This is so True. Theres was a time that I know that I was not in condition to play but I still force myself to play and I lose 1k mmr in a week.
Any advice on playing with smurf at 2k
8:16 please don't use unranked games to "deflate". They can be just as frustrating and tiring and you'll just end up ruining other people's fun
