I think Spidey would be able to talk Mr. Freeze down and they wouldn't need to fight. Pete would help Victor bring Nora back and would become an ally I think.
The best way for Spider-man to truly beat The Joker is if he does what he naturally does in every fight. He heckles him. Just like in return of the joker, Terry heckled him so much it threw him off his game. Because Joker true weakness is his vanity.
Precisely. Spidey is a grade A shit talker and Jokers ego is more fragile than rice paper. He'd hardly even need to try to get under his skin and Joker's so pompous and vain he'd quickly reveal whatever his grand scheme was in a vain attempt to spite the mocking wall crawler only to end up playing right into his hands.
But would he know to do that? Even batman never figured that out after fighting Joker for years. I doubt Spiderman would know on first attempt what to say to pass joker off
@@agentsauce1966 That's just it. He wouldn't know that's how to mess with the Joker, it's just what he does. Spidey's notorious for trash talking his opponents throughout the fight and he most certainly would notice pretty quickly how easily rattled the Joker would get every time he bashed him, especially if he took the low hanging fruit and called him out for not being funny.
@jeremygilbert7989 But normal trash talking and mocking won't work on Joker he'll just laugh with him. Joker only gets mad if you can insult him enough into believing that the world, mainly Gotham would forget him. And he would need to actually believe it.
Fun Fact: Gotham City is canonically located in New Jersey. This means that, in a universe where Marvel and DC superheroes exist side-by-side, Batman and Spiderman's stomping grounds are just across the water from each other. In such a universe Scarecrow, Bane, Penguin, Killer Croc and Riddler were all webbed up on the shores of Gotham Harbor, Spiderman and Batman were staring each other down, and Spidey would say "Caught these guys in Lower Manhatten. Bats, how many times have I told you, keep YOUR garbage on YOUR side of the river."
Huh Gotham in New Jersey honestly considering how fucked the crime is in the city it makes sense although New York makes a lot more sense due to most of the lay out and the general importance/wealth of the city
@@Ichiyama22 Mr freeze - flamethrower Clayface - tank of liquid nitrogen and a pistol Killer croc - elephant rifle Riddler - dual tommy guns to riddle him this with. Poison ivy - incendiary grenade Bane - double barrel shotgun Manbat - duck hunting rifle Scarecrow - crossbow loaded with a stake Ra's al ghoul - Minigun Joker - Revolver with rounds that deploy flags with comic book onomatopoeia.
People forget Ivy's control is based on spores, which would be killed by his biology. Not to mention, he has a natural resistance to mind control. It's like he sleepwalks from what I understand. Also, she controlled Supes using Kryptonite. He can lift over 150 tons, and has light-speed reaction time. Also, assuming too much on the knowledge the villains would have. Also, he had fire, water-based, cement, electric, rubbery webs. Then you have the filter in his mask. As for Joker, they fought, he won. He also has fought Red Goblin, basically Joker with powers. Not to mention, He beaten Green Goblin, has more gadgets than Joker designed to kill him and is about as insane.
Well, Superman's strength is completely arbitrary from year to year. At one point he lifted/pushed a mass of uhhh... upwards of something with 20 zeroes tonnes while at other times at his full strength he was weaker than Spiderman. /shrug
@@gazz3867 Not that Arbitrary, Superman, has a limiter he puts on himself. It's a psychological trick he learned on New Krypton. Anyway, he usually keeps his powers sealed at a certain level, because he is too strong and can cause colateral damage easily, not only that, to prevent his powers to cause irreversible damage when he is being mind controlled. Sounds like an asspull but it was literally shown in comics. Created to handle these inconsistencies. Anyway, thanks to this explanation it is possible to understand that his maximum strenght is enough to hold the entire multiverse, and Knock down the World Forger, which are some of his recent feats. However he don't usually let this level of power be used because it would simply be too powerful. And it is still not enough to deal with some villains. For example, Full power Darkseid with the Anti-life equation could bend the multiverse unto itself and brainwash every single individual living in it. He actually created an Amalgam world of sorts by effortlessly fusing every single universe into one. Including it's denizens. He also fought True Anti-Monitor on equal terms. And Anti-Monitor is Galactus on steroids. Pretty much what Galactus is when his stomach is full and he is fully buffed, and he rivals beings like, Eternity, Infinity, Death and Oblivion.
I feel like Batman would have a lot of respect and admiration for Spider-Man. Someone who's dealt with trauma similar to his own yet stays a bright and cheerful superhero; He's like what Bruce wishes he could be
Small correction: Spider-Man, these days, is able to lift 20 tons _casually._ His true upper limit, based on feats, is in the 50-70-ton range. He would _demolish_ Freeze's suit and Croc. Also, it is Ultimate Spider-Man, not 616, who is immune to vampirism.
Last statement is technically wrong. While not immune to vampirism, his radioactive blood would cure him of vampirism after a while by destroying the disease in his body (this was stated by Blade in Blade Volume 4 #1; Spidey was infected, but his body eventually cured itself of vampirism. He also has an accelerated metabolism to restore him to full health. The only thing he's not super human for is alcohol, apparently. So basically, he can still allow himself to be bitten by Man-Bat and defeat him, but he would have a HELL of a night as a bat monster, though nothing he's not accustomed to.
@@irrespondible that is mainline, 616-, Spider-Man. 1610 is flatout immune due to Oz. Also, Peter's body does sober out faster than normal humans, even if he's not alcohol-resistant per say.
Yes 616 Spidey can recover from vampirism. The encounter with Blade mentioned in the video is from an issue during the Civil War event just after Spidey’s identity was revealed to the world.
His Blood would heal him...the only disease he is not able to heal from is the Marvel Zombi Virus...and he was the One to be able to cure himself from the Hunger twice... so yeah even if he somehow turned into a Vampire he would take control of his self sooner or later
@@poeticgangsta6616 death-stroke is insane, i get that, but he just has a really bad match-up against spidy. spider sense is such a hard counter it's not even funny
Hold up... Spiderman, the man who can stop a runaway train with his own grip strength.... You're telling me he can't dent Freeze's suit? I'm going to have to doubt this one.
Agreed. But I don't think SPidey would win on his strength. He would win on his compassion driving him to help Victor save his wife without the crimes. And if Spidey couldn't do it alone, remember he is friends with both Reed Richards AND Hank McCoy.
@@danielhaire6677 Maybe so. But the video suggested that Spiderman couldn't go through the suit. I just don't buy that for a second. Sure, Spiderman might not be Hulk strong, or Superman strong. But he can stop a train by webbing onto buildings and gripping them. He can catch a falling bus full of people. To say that he can't go through Freeze's suit? I don't know what the suit is made of, but if Batman can go through it with a diamond, rock, or bat-a-rang and Batman strength, I'm pretty sure Spiderman can go through it too.
@@AskMoonBurst Bro held up a whole building in Homecoming, and directed a plane with just his arms and a string of webbing. He must be able to crack the suit with this much strength.
Spidey tears through most of Batman's villains, but cracks his head open slipping on ketchup after getting blinded with mustard while fighting the Condiment King.
I've long wanted not just a crossover story where Batman and Spider-Man teamed-up (which has happened) but a prolonged story where the two switch places for a time, so Batman is in the Marvel NYC and Spidey is in Gotham.
Facts and an actual first time meet up of our favorite characters seeing and meeting genuinely for the first time and actual reactions to each other that's what I want
Bats would have to get very, very creative without his cave full of gadgets though. Would he be able to throw together a base of operations and be able to replenish his gear on his own? If he could surely, it'd take longer than usual for him to get on his feet and be able to effectively fight crime unless he convinced Tony Stark or Reed Richards to help.
That would be interesting. Spiderman is physically much stronger so most of his enemies are more fantastical than Batman's, he can fight strong superpowered foes but it's not as straight forward as it is of Spiderman. But on the other hand he has his strengths as a detective and arguably a strong plot armor.
@@DrowSoldier33 Bats just has to bring his cash, and theproblems are solved. Money in both universes is the same, soif he bring enoug money,he has everything covered
Spiderman vs Scarecrow might be his hardest matchup. The video said that he can rely on his Spidersense like he does against Mysterio: no tingle, no danger. But Mysterio's illusions are external, Scarecrow's are internal. It's more likely that a dose of fear-toxin could set Parker's Spidersense into overdrive, causing it to go off at literally every shadow he sees.
@@LegendaryDarkKnight602 well i am pretty sure he was under the influence of one of the cosmic power at the time. spiderman is strong but not hulk level. enough he can lift a car if i remember right.
@@Marveryn He can do a lot more than lift a car. As stated in the video, Spidey can usually lift around 20 to 25 tons. A car is on average, 3000 pounds, or 1.5 tons.
@@gazz3867 that would be the same as Redhood and all that do is make the villains bring out bigger guns as well, Punishers likely can still clean all of them but there will be a lot of collateral damage.
Cold blooded reptiles love heat to warm up. Helps them to move faster and increases their metabolism. You'd need to raise the temperature high enough to cook any organic creature. It would make more sense to expose killer crock to extreme cold temperatures to slow him down.
Against Scarcrow, I think the battle might be quite a bit tougher. Given that The Scarecrow's drugs affect a victim's mind directly, it's conceivable they could cause false tingles in Peter's spider-sense. Thus, the drugs would be more effective than Mysterio's illusions.
Lets be honest the Scarecrow would propably be talking to the spider during the whole proces trying to learn what makes him tick, thats kinda Scares whole thing trying to be as scary as possible while learning what his opponents fear
The issue here is that the toxins would need to affect Spider-man. He has shown resistance to substances like it before, and even if it does affect him, he recovers faster than normal people from it, meaning he'll be able to suprise Scarecrow by suddenly shaking off the toxin in less time than expected.
@@LevelUpLeo In the injustice world superman was affected by it and didn't even notice and for poison ivy, he used a similar situation to say it would work
Not gonna lie, i really think this would be an amazing crossover event for DC/Marvel. Each hero swapping their rogues gallery with another from the other side, where each villain gets their own stand alone issue. They could run a story similar to Marvel's "Acts of Vengence" story line to get it going. It wouldn't need to be anything serious but a just for fun what if/elseworlds kind of thing.
They kind of did that. It was in one of the cartoons. Since Supes has defeated every crook in Metropolis umpteen times, Lex offered a big cash reward to any Gotham crook who could pull it off. Hello half Batman's rouges gallery.
and at the end Vs the whole Rouge gallery Like both spiderman and Batman has gone against thier own and defeated them singlehandedly But swap thier Rouge gallary
I dunno about that last one, Joker is basically either Green Goblin or Carnage, but without powers. Even Batman is able to defeat Joker and he doesn't have powers. *Now what about Spidy vs. the court of owls?*
joker isn't really comparable to Green Goblin or Carnage honestly. carnage is just a manic who kills indiscriminately with no real plan or direction and to be blunt is a very one note character with little development. green goblin is a genius who has the whole dual personality thing (which is pretty inconsistent honestly), a lot of goblins appearances he's not even the green goblin for the majority of the time like Dark Reign.
It's worth mentioning that Carnage and Joker once teamed up in a crossover comic. The Joker and Carnage seem similar, but they are *VERY* different. Joker is a showman psychopath, who loves schemes and showboating and all... Carnage just wants to kill indiscriminately. In the end, both of them realized this and turned on each other. That's where they Joker has an edge; he always has a back up plan, similar to the Green Goblin. Green Goblin is the closest villain in Spiderman's rogue's gallery that you can compare to.
The amount of parallels between Batman and Spiderman's Rouge galleries is crazy 😂😂😂. Why not give an amalgam universe nod to these 2 as spider-bat the adventures of Wayne Parker 😎
Honestly, I think Spiderman would end up somewhat like the fight happening like the fight in the batman beyond. Spiderman and the Batman of the time Terry both love to talk and never know when to shut their mouth in a fight, so I think he would drive the Joker into a blind frenzy that eventually make a mistake.
He wouldn't even need to do that. Spidey is fast enough to speed blitz Joker. He's also strong enough to knock people out with a flick of his finger. Joker would be knocked out cold before he could realize Spidey was even there.
I've always thought a cross over between Bats and Spidey on the big screen would or in a video game or something would be awesome. Their rouges team up somehow or something lol.
Look up the DC v Marvel series and the Access series. Access is a hero both Marvel and DC have rights to, the one and only Hero capable of crossing into either universe whenever he wants. Spidey has met both Batman and Superman. Bats likes him, Supes side eyes him, both of them think he talks too much in a fight lol. Bats thinks he is a lot like Barry in his intelligence and yet also like Wally in his endless talking and quips. So while kind of annoyed by it, he is also used to it and only complains about it once lol. Superman...really isn't a huge fan of the wall crawler lol.
So, it didn't take this video for me to realize this, but Batman has a lot of villains that are similar to Spider-Man's (or vice versa, depending on which hero you like better, I guess). Clayface is like Sandman, Man-Bat is like Morbius/Lizard, Scarecrow is like (yes) Mysterio, Bane: Rhino/Man-Mountain Marko/Ox/~Venom, Killer Croc: Lizard, Poison Ivy: Black Cat/Mister Negative, Ra's Al Gul: Kraven, & Joker: Green Goblin/Carnage. (And Penguin's kind of just a flightless Vulture.)
Joker: "How about a joke? A woman goes to the doctor, who tells her there's good news an-" Spider-Man: "Boo! Next!" Joker: "Oh! I know one! The itsy bitsy Spider-" Spider-Man: "Went to beat up a clown! Then came a fist and knocked the Joker down!" **Bam!** Spider-Man: "Out came the webs, and trapped the clown away." **Webs being used** Spider-Man: "And your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, went on his merry way!" Joker: "That's a terrible song!" Spider-Man: "Hey, it was your idea! ...Please don't sue." **Spider-Man then webswings away** Joker: "I hate that guy."
True facts. With a heavy enough layer of webbing, I don't think ANY could break them. Not even Bane on a good dose of venom, if his arms get pinned to his sides. In their first encounter, Venom webbed Spider-Man up to the inside of a church bell. He just BARELY managed to free his arm enough to stop the clapper from crushing his skull. If Spider-Man himself had to fight for his life to break free, there's no way any of Batman's foes would be able to tear his webbing.
That's not how the Lazarus Pit works, it doesn't turn people into zombies or mindless minions it literally resurrects them from the dead. So they would literally be the same people that he lost not some zombie or mindless Minion or clone or some other fourth thing.
Maybe not Clayface. Despite what this video suggests, Spider-Man doesn't have a solvent gun tucked away in his belt. He'd have to make something. So Spidey would have to survive the first round.
@@shevwreck7815 It would end with them turning on each other and Batman beating Carnage with his fists. Because that's how it actually happened, much as silly as that sounds.
Also I was quite curious if The Penguin joined forces with either The Vulture or Doctor Octopus. Truth be told even as a kid I always thought that team up would probably be more interesting than my previous "what if". Regardless, if any of these fantasy match ups ever happened it's a win for everyone.
@@Bluesit32 He fought Sandman, Symbiothes, that water guy. He probably could make a special web concoction to immobilise him, if only long enough to trap him in an airtight heavy metal/hard glass container.
According to the Batman/Punisher crossover the Joker is actually scared of the Punisher because unlike Batman he will actually pull the trigger and finish him off for once and for all!
Actually I think Spidey wouldn't beat the crap out of Dr. fries. Instead talking with him and offering his super intelligence to help cute Nora in his spare time. And Victoria only motivation for being a villian is to help find a cure for his wife. Plus even if it needs to come to blows, I feel like the pressure chamber is to specific of a thing to count. I could. And how would he even get victor in there?
When i started this, I didn't think about how utterly screwed Bat's villains would be against Spidey. Very few of them are unique compared to what Spidey is used to fighting. I think the hardest fight might be Riddler humorously. While Joker is a psycho on another level, he still boils down to a psycho which Spidey has fought multiple times over the years. Riddler would require thought to capture as Riddler never puts himself out there unlike Joker who has to be center stage.
@@poeticgangsta6616 An angry, quiet Spiderman is not a Spiderman you want to fight. Just ask Fisk. And no, it wouldn't "drive him insane." He would absolutely kill the one responsible, grieve for his lost family, and carry on with his life. Spiderman does not have a "no kill" code, nor do most heroes. He does actively attempt to hold back, but he is easily capable of killing someone like the Joker and justifying it like a normal human being.
@BizarreCoyote Yeah, not killing is a preference, not a hard rule. Honestly, I don't think he'd even try not to kill Joker. He'd look at Gothams failure of a prison system and decide that the world is a better place without Joker before just walking into Jokers warehouse, killing him, and then deal with Jokers contingencies without worrying about Joker actively interfering or making more. Joker would probably assume,'Oh, Spidermans no killer' and start some grand speech on how no one can ever hold him down without killing him and then Spiderman would just walk up to him, say 'You're right' and then snap his neck.
"Spidey wouldn't make a dent in it, even if he hit Freeze at full strength." These are the words of a man that has no clue what Spidey's full strength is. But I agree with Fivetoes on this. Spidey would empathize with Doctor Fries.
Seeing this video alone showed Spider-Man wrecking Tanks and Mr Freezes Cryo Armor isn't considered top tier. I doubt it would be an issue for Spider-Man who almost routinely fights people in Mech suits. But Spidey has a no kill policy and if breaching the suit would kill Mr Freeze he'd avoid doing so.
He could. But once Spidey realized what Freeze's goal was, Spidey would likely help cure her so that Freeze wouldn't continue his crimes. If he couldn't do it alone, he would call the other brains he knows.
anyone else notice how most of the villains mentioned are a parralel to spider-man villians? clayface-sandman manbat- a scientist preforming genetic experiments on himself giving him animal like powers-the lizard mr. freeze- a scientist that has powers over a specific element- electro scarecrow-mysterio bane - the rhino the riddler-an egotistical genius that uses his intellect to create crazy contraptions and death machines-doc ock killer croc-the lizard again rash a ghul- a ludicrously wealthy and well connected individual who controls many criminal ondoings from the shadows- the kingpin the joker- a mad man with a penchant for explosions associated with the color green and purple- green goclin
On Mr. Freeze, it's a lot easier than that. Freeze has normal strength and speed. Spiderman takes away any weapons and crushes them, then webs up his hand so he won't stick to Freeze's armour, grabs him by the arm or leg or something and does like Bam Bam from the Flintstones until Mr. Freeze is knocked out from all the concussion. But yeah, he might try to help him with his mission anyway.
One thing you’re forgetting is that Spider-Man has super strength. BatMan is a regular guy. SpiderMan has picked up and thrown a car. So gimme a break… he could certainly punch thru Mr Feeze’s suit.
I'm not so sure about the Scarecrow scenario, especially in the initial encounter. Since the fear toxin causes a chemical biological response, unlike Mysterio's holograms, it might cause the spider sense to give false feedback. Not saying Spidey would ultimately fail, but it feels like he would be a bit more of a threat.
i would like to correct you on something-people resurrected by the Lazarus pit aren't really zombies but straight-up literally brought back to life, albeit with a damaged psychi; as we saw in one of the batman games, a batman brought back from the Lazarus pity was able to be calmed down by people from his team by fighting with him and talking it through with him
Bro held up a whole building in Homecoming, and directed a plane with just his arms and a string of webbing, and also got Scorpion's jaw flying with one punch. He must be able to crack Freeze's suit with this much strength.
10:00 Honestly, the Joker would be the EASIEST of Batman's Rogues to beat. 1. He physically outmatches Joker by a mile. 2. Mentally, he is the Jokers (a comedian's) natural predator (a heckler). (Terry McGinnis drove Joker to madness by laughing at him) 3. Emotionally, Spider-Man has an entire life of trauma to browbeat Jokers 'one bad day' mentality.
It would come down to whether Spider-Man's Spider Sense would be effected by the Scarecrow's toxin or not. The toxin might make Spidey trip out but as long as his Spider Sense was still working he would be able to avoid any attempt to attack him and keep from doing anything too heinous like attacking innocent people under the delusion. In either case with his physiology Spider-Man would probably need a concentrated dose for the toxin to actually effect him.

there's also one very vital element that DC Fanboys like to completely ignore when they want to compare spider-Man to the Batman"entourage." I like the fan comic where Spidey just says "eh, Frank, you get one freebie with him." and then explain to Daredevil what the Joker did to those kittens.
Batman's rogue gallery is screwed beyond belief if they fight Spiderman. That ENTIRE ROGUE GALLERY. In regards to Joker though, Spiderman may have to end up donning his black suit by the time he deals with Joker as he'd drive Spiderman to that much of a breaking point and as many people found out the hard way, thats one thing never to do.
3:54 Although not very well known Spidey has a Scarecrow villain with a similar power set. It was even a running joke in a run from the mid 2000s where people kept saying “Wait, you have a Scarecrow villain too?”
I feel as though the Joker one is cheating unless they clarified it as a second fight specifically or more because Spider-Man already just knocked Joker out with one punch on the pages of the Batman Spider-Man crossover comic. Batman oddly enough struggled a bit more in that comic against Carnage
@John taco I don't even mind a little favoritism really. I show favoritism all the time without giving a crap what others think. Again, I just feel it isn't fair given they had a confrontation where Joker's ego betrayed him cause he thought Spider-Man was too much of a goody goody to kill him. Then turned his back on him before Spidey laid him out with a single punch. The narrator is acting like Joket always has an ace up his sleeve, but the reason for that with Batman or the Justice League is he has had so many encounters with them he has had a chance to learn as much about Batman or the League as they have him. It's the same reason Carnage would have killed Batman hands down if Joker hadn't distracted him & freaked him out
@@1hugegooboy agreed, at the end of the day joker is a powerless insane person, while Spider-Man can lift like 20 tons/has spider sense and pretty much dodge bullets/can shoot webs that can stick people to the wall. In a encounter with the joker all he really needs to do he splat him on the wall with web and joker can’t to shit about it.
@John taco Well yeah, though I am not trying to say Spider-Man doesn't have his own personal weaknesses too. I mean Green Goblin lead to the death of Peter's first Love & it nearly broke him. He has his weaknesses & if that story didn't exist I would say the Joker would be a fair pick cause he could always target Felicia Hardy a.k.a. Black Cat, Mary Jane herself, or a plethora or other people to gain the upper hand over Spider-Man & it might work as he would be terrified of them getting hurt in any kind of crossfire battle be it fists or weapons. That is why like I said though that would require the Joker analyzing Spider-Man the way he would Batman through encounters as Joker is brilliant, but doesn't put as much work into planning as someone like Bane, Riddler, or heck even the Mad Hatter are known to do. Plus measure that against Spider-Man's equally Brilliant Mind & Strategic Mind & sure you might get a few hiccups, but in the end the web head should come out on top
@John taco In the end it is weird to put him on the list for another reason though that everyone would be aware of. He is too obsessed with Batman to really even care about Spider-Man as a hero. Though after getting knocked out cold by one punch, doubtful he would ever take Spider-Man on directly anyway cause that would be a punch he would be sure to remember
Bane: *punches spiderman only to get caught and bent backwards* wh- what are you?! Spiderman: just your friendly neighborhood web-slinger *knocks him the fuggout*
Spider-Man would get his back broken, just like Batman did. Bane gives the term "backbreaker" a whole new meaning, because he literally IS a backbreaker. Just ask Batman.
Spider-Man’s spidy sense would help him a lot for jokers traps! I do agree with what you said for that tho, that being said there were multiple times where Batman could have killed the joker but didn’t, so I think he could work around the joker
The fact that most of batman's villains are just like the villains spiderman fights on the daily, makes all his fights end up as "i know a guy just like you. They went down like a sack of rocks."

Batman villians wouldn't know what to do with Spidey. A genius with REDICULOUS abilities. No chance. Spider-Man would take even Batman in about thirty seconds.
I think Spidey would have a far less contentious relationship with Catwoman working in his favour too. He's a lot more flexible than Batman and wouldn't have nearly as much a problem with some of her activities.
Wait...isn't it the other way round? Cool Croc off and he'll pass out, being cold blooded? Cold blooded creatures are what is referred to as exothermic, needing to spend hours sunning themselves to warm their blood so they can be active....so sticking Croc in a heat generator would just make him more active...
Both is correct. Cold blooded animals are vulnerable to extreme temperature changes because they can't regulate their own internal temperature. Killer Croc is more susceptible to Heat Exhaustion as a result. Although, it is arguably a more dangerous method to defeat him than cooling him down; as it has a higher chance of lethality.
Plus they could have left Joker out of this list for another of Batman's Rouges Gallery as they left out another legitimate threat or two. Mad Hatter comes to mind frankly, another one that comes to mind off the top of my head is Hugo Strange. Batman has a LOT of deadly foes that are all deadly in their own special ways
Personally, the one version of the Joker that makes the most logical sense to me (as far as versions of the Clown Prince that would be worthy of being an enemy to Spidey) is the _acrobatic, dreadlocked Jester of Jackenapes_ from "The Batman (the 2004/2005 animated series, not the recent 2022 film).
Arkham Joker would also be a great threat, not only is he a monster in hand to hand combat as seen in Arkham Asylum, Arkham Origins, Assault on Arkham, and Arkham Knight: A Matter of family, but he's also a shockingly competent battlefield tactician as seen in Arkham Asylum and Arkham City.
I think there's a good chance that Scarecrow's fear toxin might overload the spider-sense. With Mysterio, it's just fancy illusions; it looks real but it isn't there. But the fear toxin doesn't just make you see scary things, it screws with your brain making you truly believe they're real. If it works the way I think it does, Spidey would stodgy be extra susceptible to the toxin because his spider sense would be constantly screaming at him.
spider-sense is not a biological thing, it's a supernatural power of basically divination/foresight that stems from the spider-totem's connection to the web of life and destiny, or something along such lines. point being, it's a supernatural magical thing, thus I severally think some ultimately mundane concentrated pheromones meant to excite a person's fear response would screw with it.
I think Spider-Man could definitely take down the Joker because he deals with Green Goblin and Carnage. Both of whom in my opinion are far nore dangerous than the Joker for 2 reasons. While All 3 are madmen and crazy. Joker is still a normal man compared to the other two. Green Goblin not only plans ahead like the Joker but he also has powers and many of the advantages Batman uses to take down the Clown Prince of Crime. And then Carnage, although he isn't known for planning ahead, whenever he actually does think things through its always a nightmare for his opponents and anyone around. Now Spider-Man does usually need help with Carnage but that's because on top of being crazy he is one of the most powerful villains in comics. Joker is a sick puppy but he still needs to use gadgets and gimmicks and that really only work on other DC heroes because they are not used to fighting Villains like Batman's, Spider-Man meanwhile I think has plenty of villains who could compare to the Joker. Which I think properly prepares him for the clown. Anyway. That's just my opinion. I actually really enjoyed this video.
10 - Sand-man 9 - Lizard 8 - no direct parallel I could think of. Octopus ? 7 - Mysterio 6 - Juggernaut/Hulk 5 - Conundrum (for the name being related to mysteries, otherwise no parallel) 4 - Lizard again 3 - no direct parallel again 2 - Morlun (kinda a stretch) 1 - Of course, the Green Goblin.
I feel Scarecrow would get the better of him. Spidey can beat Mysterio's illusions because they are illusions. Scarecrow's fear toxin causes hallucinations. Spidey's mind would believe them to be fully real, and his Spider-Sense would most likely be unable to cope. Not to mention, Spider Sense isn't a "get out of jail free" card. He still has to interpret and react on his own. Sure, some moves are reflex, but for things like Ivy's kiss, or Scarecrow's toxin, his sense might not even trigger. and if it did, he might not understand what it meant in time.
Well to be fair, spider-man has dealt with neurotoxin before, (spider man ps4) so even if all would be triggered, and thanks to his massive IQ and stuff, it's not exactly out of the question that he'd be able to create an antidote for said neurotoxin.
I hate to point this out but, Clayface and Killer Croc are discount, bargain bin versions of more powerful Spiderman villains. Sandman and The Lizard. Scarecrow loves his fear toxin, but he still has to actually HIT Spidey with it. Whether injected or in gas form, Spiderman would most likely be able to just avoid the stuff. I hate to point this out ... but Mr. Freeze's cold suit gets busted all the time. By Batman. As powerful as Bane is, he's nowhere near the strength of the Rhino, who the web head has beaten on multiple occasions. And while Bane is a brilliant tactician, the wall crawler has beaten his fair share of those too.
Please. As a HUGE Joker fan, it's only a matter of how quickly Spidey realizes how messed up Joker is. The moment Joker threatens his loved ones, he'd carry through on the threat he once gave Kingpin. Joker spends the rest of his life in a neckbrace.
Yeah also joker hates being made fun of we know this because of tarry I honestly believe the joker is the easiest to beat he’s just a weaker green goblin tbh
@@jacobcorturillo6537 Joker is far more twisted than Norman. If Spider-Man found out just HOW much more twisted, Joker would be in for a world of pain.
I feel like he would have a hard time because spider man can neatly be driven insane if a villain hurts someone he cares for and most of Batman’s villains fable in psychological warfare. I mean look what happened when Fisk got aunt may shot, but was still alive.
yeah they do that because they are used to Batsy that had a obsessive rule regarding no killing and will se a breack of that as a career ending failure and existential dread...enraged spiderman is different, when Pete is really and i mean really pissed off, the no killing rule became a suggestion and no while he will be depressed for HIS loss he will not care much about the fact that he had just used the supervillain entrails to strangle such idiot. Joker want batman to kill him because he know it will be his ultimate victory, Spiderman is very different
Love how this list is essentially beat every villian into submission whereas most of this list could actually be defeated by restraining/disorienting them and then talking them down. Most the villians on the lower end of the scale could actually be cured by Spidey, due to his intelligence and the aforementioned access to the various high tech science labs in New York City. Basil Karlo could be talked into becoming the next big thing in Hollywood; Kirk Langstrom (who accidently transformed his entire family) could be helped by having a modified version of the serum adminisitered to take away the whole conversion with a bite angle; Victor Fries could be talked into seeing Reed Richards who could cure Nora and himself in an afternoon; Jonathon Crane could be pointed in the direction of one of the many psychiatrists that Spidey knows; Bane isn't a mindless machine, he's a street smart mercenary who is also open to alternative solutions as long as he gets paid; As with Jonathon Crane, Edward Nigma could be pointed in the direction of psychiatrists but Spidey would more than likely send him to Professor X; Just like he has done with Curt Connors, Spidey could develop a serum that would remove the genetic damage from Waylon Jones and allow him to finally live a normal, productive life; Being a stalwart environmentalist, Ivy could be talked down and sat down with the Guardians of the Galaxy or even Namor to find avenues to properly channel her ecological based ideals and powers.
This was a very cool video and in a way reinforced what I thought for years: (both my fav superheroes) Batman and Spider-man have very similar Villains. With the exception, that Sideman faces more super villains (mutants and with superpowers) than batman. I always though of a what if scenario of a mix of both, but I end up to the conclusion to...not much would change. A batman with spider powers woudnt be as different than a spider-man with money (resources) Only mayor difference would be a hero more stealthy but also far stronger. Very lethal combo, as it woudnt have the physical strain or limits Bruce Wayne has, and would use an even larger array or gadgets and tech, like Spider-man sometimes gets (depending on the universe) I guess the other mayor difference IF we mix both Heroes, would be a Spiderman who actually is ok working in a team. Batman is known for teaming up most of the time, but spiderman, for a reason or another, is always (most of the time) alone. Would be interested to hear a theoretical situation of Spiderman trying to take down SUPERMAN villains.
I think Spidey would be able to talk Mr. Freeze down and they wouldn't need to fight. Pete would help Victor bring Nora back and would become an ally I think.
Agreed
Specially with peter’s scientific knowledge. Together they could find a cure for Freeze’s wife
Yeah, maybe he could.🤔
New Spider-Man yes, old no.
Nah

“Bruce, this is the 6th time They tried to blow up New York.”

Not to mention, He beaten Green Goblin, has more gadgets than Joker designed to kill him and is about as insane.
also speaking about plant theme villians like ivy , spiderman has also fought a plant theme villian called "Plantman"
Well, Superman's strength is completely arbitrary from year to year. At one point he lifted/pushed a mass of uhhh... upwards of something with 20 zeroes tonnes while at other times at his full strength he was weaker than Spiderman. /shrug
She was able controlled Supes at the time was because her spores was lace with Kryptonite
Ion know about that mind control part tho mainly cause of superior Spider-Man

Croc isnt a pure lizard tho, hes a human with reptilian features.

@@poeticgangsta6616 red hood has standards bro
Yes
I feel like Spider-Man realistically could break through Mr. Freezes armor, but I really don’t know enough about it too make that call.
If he couldn't do it alone, he would call the other brains he knows.
anyone else notice how most of the villains mentioned are a parralel to spider-man villians?
clayface-sandman
manbat- a scientist preforming genetic experiments on himself giving him animal like powers-the lizard
mr. freeze- a scientist that has powers over a specific element- electro
scarecrow-mysterio
bane - the rhino
the riddler-an egotistical genius that uses his intellect to create crazy contraptions and death machines-doc ock
killer croc-the lizard again
rash a ghul- a ludicrously wealthy and well connected individual who controls many criminal ondoings from the shadows- the kingpin
the joker- a mad man with a penchant for explosions associated with the color green and purple- green goclin
Mordius is just manbat
It's funny because when Dr. Strange literally splits Peter's Physical body, he still manages to dodge every time Strange tries to grab 😆
Well strange doesnt want to hurt him, not even break a bone or bruise him
Why did that happen?
I'm not so sure about the Scarecrow scenario, especially in the initial encounter. Since the fear toxin causes a chemical biological response, unlike Mysterio's holograms, it might cause the spider sense to give false feedback. Not saying Spidey would ultimately fail, but it feels like he would be a bit more of a threat.
Scarecrow would have the best chance
@Andrew Gates
pretty sure the chemical needs to target the spider sense itself to affect it.
Spiderman: sees the people he loves dying, stops talking
The thing is that even though spiderman doesnt just wildly attack the villains, hes so strong he could just do that and it would work
i would like to correct you on something-people resurrected by the Lazarus pit aren't really zombies but straight-up literally brought back to life, albeit with a damaged psychi; as we saw in one of the batman games, a batman brought back from the Lazarus pity was able to be calmed down by people from his team by fighting with him and talking it through with him
Bro held up a whole building in Homecoming, and directed a plane with just his arms and a string of webbing, and also got Scorpion's jaw flying with one punch. He must be able to crack Freeze's suit with this much strength.
Scarecrow: "whats the matter? too scared to say anything.. wait, why are you walking towards me?"
10:00 Honestly, the Joker would be the EASIEST of Batman's Rogues to beat.
1. He physically outmatches Joker by a mile.
2. Mentally, he is the Jokers (a comedian's) natural predator (a heckler). (Terry McGinnis drove Joker to madness by laughing at him)
3. Emotionally, Spider-Man has an entire life of trauma to browbeat Jokers 'one bad day' mentality.
Yup Spider-Man has the same mentality as the joker now I remember why everyone hates Spider-Man fans
Terry McGinnes freaked the Joker tf out when he was mocking him. Spidey would straight up anniahlate Joker just by words alone

I don't think Spidey would be effected by the Fear toxin of Scarecrow because of his radiated blood. Oh, and Spidey can actually lift 40+ tons now.
I mean, if batman can punch open Freeze's helmet, spider-man could do it with a sneeze.
I feel as though the Joker one is cheating unless they clarified it as a second fight specifically or more because Spider-Man already just knocked Joker out with one punch on the pages of the Batman Spider-Man crossover comic. Batman oddly enough struggled a bit more in that comic against Carnage
Yeah I’m feeling a little bit of favoritism here from the narrator when it comes to the joker

A regular cop can take down the joker. He is really overrated.
Spiderman also would mistake him for a commpn goon at first and kick him through a wall
The fact that most of batman's villains are just like the villains spiderman fights on the daily, makes all his fights end up as "i know a guy just like you. They went down like a sack of rocks."

Mysterio: Technology
Scarecrow: I must cook.

9 - Lizard
8 - no direct parallel I could think of. Octopus ?
7 - Mysterio
6 - Juggernaut/Hulk
5 - Conundrum (for the name being related to mysteries, otherwise no parallel)
4 - Lizard again
3 - no direct parallel again
2 - Morlun (kinda a stretch)
1 - Of course, the Green Goblin.
Spidey is still massively hypersonic in speed, even without his Spider-Sense.

Very lethal combo, as it woudnt have the physical strain or limits Bruce Wayne has, and would use an even larger array or gadgets and tech, like Spider-man sometimes gets (depending on the universe)
I guess the other mayor difference IF we mix both Heroes, would be a Spiderman who actually is ok working in a team. Batman is known for teaming up most of the time, but spiderman, for a reason or another, is always (most of the time) alone.
Would be interested to hear a theoretical situation of Spiderman trying to take down SUPERMAN villains.
