I literally have NO WORDS for how insane and awesome this was! I cannot comprehend how a living person can actually sound like this!? How is this possible? So beautiful, and almost unnatural! The fifth element is one of my ALL TIME favourite movies! And the specific scene with the "Diva" singing, is so awesome!
So I had to hear this too! And I gotta say, oh my lord, how does he do that?

The thing is Dimash actually sang that. The original was produced through sampling, digitally enhanced and re sequenced. It was intended to be an alien piece that was humanly impossible... until Dimash of course.
You know nothing of the backstory.

Don’t misunderstand. I LOVED her singing (as so many people did!!) … But we have to give Dimash serious props!!
@@rachel-in-the-208 Dimash did a great job with an impossible song.It's just that I see many comments that it wasn't a human who sang for the movie but a computer.Of course she had help,to this day the computer enhanced parts of Diva Dance are still impossible for any singer,no matter how good he or she is.I just feel that Inva Mula should be recognized as the original Diva's voice.It's her that everyone who attempts to sing Diva Dance is trying to surpass❤️
The original was composed purposely in such a way no human voice was supposed to be able to sing it. They had an opera singer sing most of it then used computer digitalization to manipulate the voice to fill in the impossible parts, in particular that downward tumbling 11-note bar which you heard in the Bastau version. In the Singer version, he changed it to a series of staccato notes. You must check out the version where he mixes the Diva Dance with a Chinese song entitled the New Drunken Concubine (being a contemporary pop version of a traditional Beijing opera classic). He sings the part of the Bright Emperor while Beijing opera star Li YuGang sings the part of Consort Yang. There, Dimash changes that bar into a truly “alien” whistle which will blow your mind!

Dimash went higher, was more accurate and had a fuller voice than the original AND he hits EVERY note, unlike the original film version that had a lot of notes played by a computer. Dimash is better than the original. Fact.
The movie's version was done with a computer because the was no human able to sing it until Dimash came along and nailed it. He actually does a better job than the computer.

You are wrong.. the Bastau concert (2018) version of Diva Dance was his original version, he sang it in 2016:

@@xyrokhan Obviously I didn`t mean chronologically, I know he did the Bastau version of Diva in the past. I meant difficulty levels. For Singer he took out the spectacular run and left a short staccato in it`s place, Bastau he put the run back into it, in Shenzen concert he used a whistle, and in Drunken Concubine there`s a cornucopia of techniques in and around Diva, apart from again a whistle.

I’m your first one Dimash was halfway through a 3 hour concert and he still had the breath and stamina to do it. Dimash has a unwell MV out it’s a MASTERPIECE! He had been working on it for 3 years, it’s the most expensive MV yet over 7 million. Dimash is the composer, he wrote the screen play,the music and also stars in it. He is a great actor as well. It’s called The Story Of One Sky. But be mindful of Copyright!
I heard that when he used the word "expensive" in English it wasn't the best translation from Kazakh, he probably meant that it was the most important or the dearest to him, not expensive in material way or in termes of cost

You absolutely should check his performance with Li Yugang with Drunken Concubine + Diva Dance, where he also hits a whistle note in the middle of everything.. And Li is also absolutely fantastic. Amazing duet.

Well the original was done in a computer for most of it!!! Hihihi.. no one could sing it but then Dimash came!!! hahah If you think this one is un singible you have to react to his version of "Opera 2" from the competition "Singer from 2017" in China!! Thats where the second version comes from. Sad you dident watch the hole clipp of that one becouse he sang that song before this with so mutch emotions that he eeven hopped on his knees!!!
Also the first one from his Bastou consert...this was somwhere around the middel and end part of a 2,5 houers consert and the song before was his MJ medley and in the end of that one he HANGED in 2 wiress high over the floor and BELTED out high notes!!!! And that after so mutch jumping, dancing and singing both before and after!!!

The best moment in this show was just after Dimash started thanking everyone and saw his father there. He didn’t know he was there. Just after they got out of that room Dimash turns to his father and asks if he did good! When Dimash was gonna go in to the other contestants he again turned to his father and asked him if he done good! That’s the kind of man he is humble, loving and respectful.

Gloria Wu's channel has the back-story about the song that is so sad and from a life story about a boy losing his parents in an awful way. Also you get to hear how Dimash sounds like then loosing his voice the day of the show!!! When he went on he didn’t know if he could sing. Looking close at the other contestants they where so worried about him. He lost his voice again after. Li Jian another contestant bought him a very very expensive Chinese medication for him so he could get better soon!

Episode 10 : 'Unforgettable Day' In Kazakh and I think some translation in Chinese to. If I remember correct he wrote the music to this one when he was 19 years old and lyrics by Oral-kosai Baisengir, who was a poet/lyricist father of a friend of Dimash. Also in this show another contestant "Terry Lin" that was about 51 years young here he considered Dimash a dear friend at this point. But Dimash started telling them al he was his father around episode 9 I think!! That is a big respect and love from his part of the world to call him! Terry was gladly accepting it. They are still that close and also invites each other to there concerts and sometimes singing this song in duet to. They sang it in Jackie Chang movie festival in 2019 and Jackie was choked in how good they were. Terry was known as an alien before Dimash and they have similar vocals to.

He didn’t win the competion they say its because he wasn’t Chinese. But I don’t know if that’s right or not! They change the rules next year. But he got the most out of it and was most known after this. Got lots of awards and other things to. So he won the audience and the Chinese people.

The original on this section, she did that high note section, they recorded it & played back at a higher pitch, so even the original didn't do it as well as Dimash & he did it all by himself without the recording, so makes his version the better version, even tho the singer in fifth Element has a beautiful voice.

If you haven't reacted yet to Dimash's latest release, from a couple of weeks ago, I highly recommend it to you. It's a mini-movie, already a MASTERPIECE, called #TheStoryOfOneSky. It took Dimash the last 3 years to compose it, and he also made the script. The video lasts 13:41 min. The original was done mainly through a computer as Opera singers at the time couldn’t manipulate their voice as Dimash did .. The song was never done live till Dimash .. I think their is a Chinese singer & she does a version recently but that’s it 👍☘️😀

Glad to see you are continuing a Dimash journey. Though the high notes are most impressive when first hearing Dimash sing, as Dimash has said himself, it is not really about the vocal range but what he can do with it. Igor Krutoy, the billionaire Russian producer, writer and composer came out of retirement to work with Dimash (he was the guy at the piano on "Love is Like a Dream) and if you react to Dimash again, I would suggest "Olimpico", the version found on Igor Krutoy's YT channel. This song by Krutoy is one of many, composed specifically for Dimash's range ability, from baritone to whistle tone.
Forget Diva Dance…The Story of One Sky. It’s Da Vinci, Mozart, and Van Gogh combined.
It was written to be impossible to sing. There was a teanage girl on Britain's got talent who sang it beautifully also. Anyway I love Dimash, he's super duper special

Great reaction to Diva Dance. There is another version with a Chinese singer where Dimash sings in D8 which is even higher. This is Drunken Concubine/Diva Dance. Dimash as mentioned below has just brought out a MV called The Story of One Sky which is approximately 13 minutes long. This is definitely a must see. Hope to see you react to it soon. I couldn't believe it either. So many people never heard of the movie, when I reacted to it, the "Dears" of course knew, but a lot didn't...Dimash strikes again. In my opinion, he was better than the Blue alien. JS. They had the original singer sing it in different parts, and edited it together, because it was too difficult and meant to be a song that only ALIENS could sing! LOL...Guess we know that Dimash is from a lot further away that Kazakhstan!

There are also more little vocal-surprises in this videos. It’s called Drunken Concubine and it is from the Shanghai Spring Festival Gala in China. He sings with a great Chinese Opera singer who usually plays a female in classic Peking opera Li Yugang. The two harmonize so well together. It’s really fantastic. I’m sure you will like it.

I see you got some recommendations for his latest MD The Story Of One Sky in this and the former reaction videos. The MV was released this year on September, 24. He worked on that composition für three years. BUT, please do yourself a favor and slow down. I strongly advice you to watch this especially MV only after you’ve heard/seen some of Dimash’s other songs. He has so many beautyful „older“ songs that will blow your mind. He’s getting better and better. This M left even the most longtime fans speechless. But it is still much too early for that. Please, you’re in no hurry. Enjoy it.

ABBAMAN.. not sure what to say about this singer. First off I'm not one to judge anyone. I do like my male singers to sound like men so to hear him sound so feminine is hard to wrap my mind around it. He is no doubt talented and not many guys can sing like that so I accept what I see even though my mind has a bit of trouble understanding how this is possible. Because not many guys can sing like that is why he is so popular but I never would have heard of him before you started reacting to him so thank you for opening our eyes and ears
